Majid Jordan premiere music video for new single “Body Talk”

Majid Jordan – composed of Majid Al-Maskati and Jordan Ullman – have premiered the music video for their new promotional single online.

The visual clip for “Body Talk” was posted to the Canadian R&B duo’s YouTube channel on Monday (October 30, 2017).

As mentioned in earlier posts, “Body Talk” was co-written by James Fauntleroy alongside Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen of StarGate.

Majid Jordan’s sophomore album “The Space Between” – featuring previous promotional singles “My Imagination,” “One I Want” and “Phases” – is out now via OVO Sound / Warner Brothers Records.

Majid Jordan enlist James Fauntleroy, Stargate for new promotional single “Body Talk”

Majid Jordan have unveiled their new promotional single online.

“Body Talk” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by group members Majid Al-Maskati and Jordan Ullman alongsise James Fauntleroy, whose notable credits include Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like,” Rihanna’s “Desperado,” Justin Timberlake’s “Take Back the Night,” Ciara’s “Love Sex Magic,” and Toni Braxton’s “Hero.”

Production duties on “Body Talk” were collectively handled by Ullman alongside Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen of StarGate, who are also responsible for Camila Cabello’s “OMG,” Daya’s “New,” Rachel Platten’s “Broken Glass,” Julia Michaels’ “Issues,” and Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes.”

Majid Jordan’s upcoming sophomore album “The Space Between” – featuring previous promotional singles “My Imagination,” “One I Want” and “Phases” – will arrive on October 27 via OVO Sound / Warner Brothers Records.

Taylor Parks hits the studio with Majid Jordan

Taylor Parks has hinted at a new collaboration with Majid Jordan.

“Thinking about the vibes me and @majidjordan created,” the singer-songwriter-actress tweeted on Monday (January 09, 2017).

Parks’ songwriting credits include Alicia Keys’ “In Common,” Meghan Trainor’s “Better,” JoJo’s “Fuck Apologies,” Ariana Grande’s “My Everything,” Mariah Carey’s “Infinity,” and Jennifer Lopez’s “So Good.”

She has also contributed to the next projects by Tori Kelly, Nicki Minaj, Demi Lovato, Bea Miller, Kesha, Fleur East, Hailee Steinfeld, Christina Aguilera, Mollie King, Sean Paul, Cameron Dallas, Alina Baraz, and Zara Larsson.

Meanwhile, Majid Jordan – composed of Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman – are reportedly recording new material for their upcoming sophomore studio collection under OVO Music and Warner Brothers Records.

Their self-titled debut album peaked to number twelve on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums Chart and spawned contributions from Illangelo (“Learn from Each Other”), Billy Walsh (“Something About You”), Ilsey Juber (“My Love”), Nineteen85 (“King City”) and Jenna Andrews (“Make it Work”).

Somewhere Else premiere music video for debut single “Move Together”

Somewhere Else have premiered the music video for their new debut online.

The electronic music duo – composed of Billy Walsh and Carlo “Illangelo” Montagnese – posted the HELMI-directed visual clip for “Move Together” to their YouTube channel on Tuesday (November 29, 2016).

“Move Together” – which features Majid Jordan (Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman) – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Somewhere Else previously teamed up with Majid Jordan on “Something About You,” taken from the Canadian duo’s self-titled debut studio collection under OVO Music / Warner Brothers Records.

The duo are also known for co-writing and producing three songs for Alicia Keys in the shape of “In Common,” “Holy War” and “Back to Life.”

On the songwriting front, Walsh recently co-wrote “Die for You,” “Attention” and “True Colors” on The Weeknd’s latest album, “Starboy.”

Illangelo’s production resume, on the other hand, boasts further works with Wiz Khalifa (“Remember You”), Drake (“Crew Love”), The Weeknd (“Twenty Eight”), M.I.A. (“Exodus”) and PARTYNEXTDOOR (“Not Nice”).

The Canadian record producing and performing duo posted the Ben Strebel-directed clip for “Learn from Each Other” to their YouTube channel on Wednesday (February 17, 2016).

Production duties on “Learn from Each Other” were handled by group members Jordan Ullman and Majid Al Maskati along with Illangelo, who other credits include The Weeknd (“The Hills”) and Drake (“Crew Love”).
