Imani Williams drafts Maegan Cottone, The Family for debut album

Imani Williams has drafted Maegan Cottone, Linnea Deb and Anton Hård af Segerstad for her upcoming debut album.

Cottone is known for her songwriting credits with Ferras (“Closer”), Little Mix (“Move”), Britney Spears (“Pretty Girls”), Olly Murs (“Up”), Fleur East (“Know Your Name”) and Medina (“Good Enough”).

Meanwhile, Deb and Hård af Segerstad are part of the Swedish songwriting / production team “The Family” together with Joy Deb. They previously worked with the likes of Jojo (“Save My Soul”) and Fifth Harmony (“Top Down”).

Williams, on the other hand, is expected to release her first studio collection in 2017 via Sony Music Entertainment UK.

Current single “Don’t Need No Money” – featuring Sigala and Blonde – is now available for download via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Among the additional songwriters backing Williams on her debut album are Becky Hill (KStewart), Natasha Bedingfield (Brandy), Ayak Thiik (The Vamps), Chelcee Grimes (Kesha) and Ali Tennant (Jessie J).

Album producers include Richard Stannard (Kylie Minogue), Electric (Olly Murs), Michael Angelo (Sabina Ddumba), TMS (Ira Estrefie), Parker Ighile (Rihanna), Laconic (KStewart), Tre Jean-Marie (Emeli Sande), Bless Beats (Jess Glynne) and White N3RD (Craig David).

Imani Williams taps Richard Stannard for debut album

Imani Williams has added Richard Stannard for her upcoming debut album.

“I loved working with @imaniofficial & @LaconicUK yesterday. She’s a doll and has the best ring tone I’ve ever heard,” the British record producer and songwriter tweeted on Friday (August 12, 2016).

Stannard recently helmed songs for Medina (“We Survive”), Will Young (“Dare”), Kylie Minogue (“100 Degrees”), Ella Henderson (“Billie Holiday”), Sam Bailey (“Treasure”), and 5 Seconds of Summer (“18”).

His extensive resume boasts further works with Spice Girls (“Wannabe”), Leona Lewis (“One More Sleep”), Gabrielle (“Falling”), Ellie Goulding (“Lights”), James Arthur (“Lie Down”), and Little Mix (“These Four Walls”).

Williams, on the other hand, is expected to release her first studio project later this year through Sony Music Entertainment UK.

Lead single “Don’t Need No Money” – featuring the song’s producers Sigala and Blonde – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

Imani Williams hits the studio with Natasha Bedingfield

Imani Williams has drafted Natasha Bedingfield for her debut project.

“So fun to write a song with this beautiful one. Imani is taking UK radio over as we speak. I can’t wait to hear what incredible Parker Ighile does with the production,” Bedingfield posted to her Instagram account.

On the songwriting front, Bedingfield’s resume boasts works with Brandy (“Fall”), Nicki Minaj (“Last Chance”), Jennifer Rush (“Betcha Never”), Charice (“Lighthouse”), and The Corrs (“Kiss of Life”).

She also teamed up with regular collaborators with Toby Gad and John Shanks on “Love Song to the Earth,” which is a special anthem for the United Nations Climate Summit 2014.

Williams, on the other hand, is expected to release her first studio project later this year through Sony Music Entertainment UK.

The singer-songwriter posted the visual clip for “Don’t Need No Money” – featuring Sigala and Blonde – to her Vevo channel on Thursday (July 21, 2016).

Video treatment was handled by Carly Cussen, who also worked with the likes of Craig David (“One More Time”), Keke Palmer (“No Enemiez”), Lady Leshurr (“Where Are You Now?”), and Karen Harding (“Say Something”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Williams’ first studio collection is expected to be released later this year through Sony Music Entertainment UK.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers contributions from Electric, Ali Tennant, TMS, Becky Hill, Red Triangle, Chelcee Grimes, Bless Beats, Joy Deb, Tre Jean-Marie, and Michael Angelo.

British singer-songwriter Imani has enlisted Peter “Merf” Kelleher, Thomas “Froe” Barnes, and Benjamin Kohn of TMS for her upcoming debut album.

The songwriting and production team are known for their works with G-Eazy (“Me, Myself & I”), Jess Glynne (“Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself”), Kwabs (“Walk”), The Vamps (“Last Night”) and Little Mix (“Wings”).

They have also contributed to the next projects by Craig David [Insanity], Olly Murs [Epic], Ella Henderson [Syco Music], Dua Lipa [Warner Brothers] and Sinead Harnett [Virgin EMI].

Meanwhile, Imani’s first studio collection is expected to be drop later this year through Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Label Group UK.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts additional productions and songwriting contributions from Electric, Becky Hill, Tre Jean-Marie, Red Triangle, Bless Beats, Joy Deb, and The Invincible Men.

Imani hits the studio with Electric, Joy Deb

British artist Imani has recorded new music with Swedish songwriter Joy Deb and Norwegian production duo Electric.

Recent songwriting credits by Deb include Jojo’s “Say Love” [Atlantic Records] and Fifth Harmony’s “Top Down” [Syco Music / Epic Records].

Meanwhile, Electric – composed of Edvard Erfjord and Henrik Michelsen – are responsible for producing cuts with Little Mix (“Black Magic”), Fleur East (“Sax”), Cheryl (“Live Life Now”), and Ben Haenow (“Brother”).

Imani, on the other hand, will release her collaborative single with Sigala and DJ Fresh, “Say You Do,” on March 18 through Ministry of Sound Recordings.

Her upcoming as-yet-untitled debut project is expected to be drop later this year through Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Label Group UK.

Jojo premieres “Save My Soul” music video

Jojo has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer-songwriter posted the Zelda Williams-directed clip for “Save My Soul” to her YouTube channel on Friday (January 08, 2016).

“Save My Soul” was co-written by Nikki Flores, whose other credits include Christina Aguilera’s “Empty Words” [RCA], Jordin Sparks’ “Silhouette” [Louder Than Life], and Jessica Mauboy’s “Kick Up Your Heels” [Sony Music].

Production duties were handled by The Family, consisting of members Anton Hård af Segerstad, Joy Deb and Linnea Deb.

Jojo’s mini-collection “III (pronounced Tringle)” – featuring previous singles “When Love Hurts” and “Say Love” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Atlantic Records.

The EP boasts further contributions from Jason Evigan (Vance Joy), Benny Blanco (Justin Bieber), Harmony Samuels (K. Michelle), Wayne Hector (Birdy), Ammar Malik (Shawn Mendes), and Robopop (Charli XCX).
