Kat Dahlia liberates new promotional single “Body and Soul”

American singer/songwriter Katriana Huguet, better known by her stage name Kat Dahlia, has delivered her new promotional single online.

“Body and Soul” – which was collectively produced by Jerome “J-Roc” Harmon and James McArthur – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Dahlia is expected to release her upcoming sophomore album – featuring previous singles “Friday Night Majic,” “Sirens” and “Manipulator” – later this year via Vested in Culture / Epic Records.

The follow-up to 2015’s “My Garden” boasts additional productions and songwriting contributions from Jon Levine (Bebe Rexha), Lauren Christy (Keri Hilson), Scott Harris (X Ambassadors), Meleni “Polly A” Smith (Alicia Keys) and Digital Farm Animals (Louis Tomlinson).

“Manipulator” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Manipulator” were handled by J-Roc (born Jerome Harmon), who is also responsible for Jennifer Hudson’s “Walk it Out,” Beyonce’s “Drunk in Love,” Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie,” and Michael Jackson’s “Love Never Felt So Good.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Dahlia is expected to release her sophomore album – featuring previous singles “Friday Night Majic” and “Sirens” – later this year via Vested in Culture / Epic Records.

The follow-up to 2015’s “My Garden” boasts additional alliances with Jon Levine (Bebe Rexha), Lauren Christy (Akon), Scott Harris (Rachel Platten), Meleni Smith (Selena Gomez) and Digital Farm Animals (Noah Cyrus).

Production duties on “Friday Night Majic” were handled by J-Roc (real name Jerome Harmon), who is also responsible for Jennifer Hudson’s “Walk it Out,” Beyonce’s “Drunk in Love,” Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie,” and Michael Jackson’s “Love Never Felt So Good.”

Kat Dahlia has teamed up with Polly A. and J-Roc for a new collaboration.

“In my next life, I wanna end up right back in the studio makin music with J-Roc and Kat Dahlia,” Polly A. posted to Instagram on Thursday (January 26, 2017).

The singer/songwriter – born Meleni Smith – previously co-wrote “Mirror,” “Lava” and “Clocks” on Dahlia’s debut album, 2015’s “My Garden.”

Polly A.’s songwriting resume boasts further works with Alicia Keys (“Love is My Disease”), J. Cole (“Crooked Smile”), Selena Gomez (“Bang Bang Bang”), Jordin Sparks (“Left … Right”) and Natasha Bedingfield (“Happy”).

The 222 Recording artist’s mini-collection “Ghetto Gold Dream” – featuring “The Brooklyn Song,” “Sing Along” and “Like We Used To” – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Meanwhile, J-Roc is responsible for producing singles performed by Jennifer Hudson (“Walk it Out”), Beyonce (“Drunk in Love”), Justin Timberlake (“Suit & Tie”) and Michael Jackson (“Love Never Felt So Good”).

Dahlia, on the other hand, is expected to release her sophomore studio collection later this year via Vested in Culture / Epic Records.

Kat Dahlia has unveiled the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter – real name Katriana Huguet – posted the visual clip for “I Think I’m in Love” to her Vevo channel on Tuesday (March 31, 2015).

“I Think I’m in Love” was written by Dahlia along with Justin “J. Dens” DeSantis and the song’s producer Jon Levine, whose other credits include Bebe Rexha (“I’m Gonna Show You Crazy”) and Leona Lewis (“Your Hallelujah”).

Dahlia’s debut album “My Garden” – featuring previous promotional cuts “Gangsta,” “Mirror” and “Crazy” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Vested in Culture and Epic Records.

The singer/songwriter – real name Katriana Huguet – posted the visual clip for “My Garden” to her official Vevo page on Saturday (January 17, 2015).

“My Garden” was written by Kat Dahlia along with the song’s producer Justin Anthony DeSantis, who also teamed with the artist on hit single “Gangsta.”

Dahlia’s debut album “My Garden” is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Vested in Culture and Epic Records

The project boasts further collaborations with Salaam Remi, Meleni “Polly A.” Smith, Glass John, Frankie Storm, Jon Levine and Kirby Lauryen.

Salaam Remi hints at new Mack Wilds album

Salaam Remi has hinted at a new album by Mack Wilds.

“@MackWilds new joints Gon make ya summer ‘15” the record producer and songwriter tweeted on Tuesday (December 30, 2014).

Remi served as executive-producer for Wilds’ debut album, “New York: A Love Story,” which was released on 30 September 2013 via Larger Than Life Records.

That collection peaked at number 28 on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and delivered four singles in the shape of “Own It,” “Henny,” “Remember the Time,” and my personal favorite, “My Crib.”

On the production front, Remi confirmed further placements on the next projects by Jazmine Sullivan (“Reality Show” – RCA), Kat Dahlia (“My Garden” – Epic) and Jordin Sparks (“Right Here, Right Now” – Larger Than Life).

The legendary hitmaker recently co-wrote and produced “Hard Work” for British singer/songwriter Ella Henderson. The track appears on the artist’s debut album, “Chapter One,” out now via iTunes in partnership with Syco Music.

Polly A. has announced the title for her upcoming project.

The singer/songwriter – real name name Meleni Smith – christened her next collection of songs “Ghetto Gold Dreams” and will release it early next year.

“Ghetto Gold Dreams” serves as the follow-up to “Distorted Fairy Tales,” which features the Matrax-produced / Frankie Storm-assisted single “Nature.”

As a songwriter, Polly A. penned songs for Alicia Keys (“Love is My Disease”), Natasha Bedingfield (“Happy”), Selena Gomez (“Bang Bang Bang”), Angel Haze (“No Bueno”), J. Cole (“Crooked Smile”) and Kat Dahlia (“Mirror”).

Her resume also includes works with hitmakers Stargate (Rihanna, Katy Perry), Toby Gad (Madonna, John Legend), Salaam Remi (Usher, Jordin Sparks), Boi-1da (Tinashe, Kelly Rowland) and Syience (Beyonce, Emeli Sande).

Polly A. has unveiled her new mini-album online.

The singer/songwriter – born Meleni Smith – posted “Distorted Fairy Tales” to her official SoundCloud page on Wednesday (December 10, 2014).

“Distorted Fairy Tales” is preceded by lead single “Nature,” which was written by Meleni Smith and Frankie Storm along with Scott “ScottISHH” Carter, Dame “Haze” Hayes and Ali Prawl of production team The Matrax.

Other contributors on “Distorted Fairy Tales” are Reginald “Syience” Perry, Arturo Ayers, Julien “JDot” Cross, Danny King, and Marc Cary.

As a songwriter, Polly A. recently co-wrote “Summer Dealer” for Canadian singer/songwriter Ben Stevenson along with hit producer Happy Perez.
