Katy B announces new single “Still”

Katy B has announced the details of her new single.

The British singer/songwriter – born Kathleen Anne Brien – christened “Still” as the next promotional single from her latest album, “Little Red,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / Rinse / Columbia Records.

The track was written by Katy B along with Gordon Warren and Fraser T. Smith, whose recent credits include Birdy’s “Standing in the Way of Light” [Atlantic Records] and Ellie Goulding’s “Hearts without Chains” [Polydor Records].

He also worked on the next albums by Sam Smith [PMR Records], Ella Eyre [Virgin EMI Records], Kwabs [Atlantic Records], Tori Kelly [Capitol Records], Bebe Rexha [Warner Bros. Records] and Charli XCX [Asylum Records].

“Still” serves as the follow-up to previous release “Crying for No Reason,” which peaked at number five on the Official UK Singles Chart.

In addition to Smith and Warren, “Little Red” boasts further contributions from Al Shux (Leona Lewis, Ella Henderson), The Invisible Men (Conor Maynard, Nicola Roberts) and Guy Chambers (Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams).

Katy B is out with the music video for her new single online.

“Crying for No Reason” is taken from the British singer/songwriter’s upcoming sophomore album, “Little Red,” out in the United Kingdom on February 3 via Sony Music Entertainment / Rinse / Columbia Records.

The track was written by Katy B – born Kathleen Anne Brien – along with regular collaborators Gordon “Geeneus” Williams and Guy Chambers.

“Little Red” is confirmed to boast further collaborations with Fraser T. Smith (Ella Eyre, Rita Ora), The Invisible Men (Rita Ora, Conor Maynard) and Alexander “Al Shux” Shuckburgh (Bridget Kelly, Cheryl Cole).

Katy’s debut album, 2011’s “On a Mission,” debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart. It also delivered hit singles including “Katy on a Mission,” “Perfect Stranger” and “Lights On” featuring Ms. Dynamite.

Katy B has revealed the credits for her upcoming sophomore album.

The British singer/songwriter – born Kathleen Anne Brien – is scheduled to release “Little Red” in the United Kingdom on February 3 via Sony Music Entertainment / Rinse / Columbia Records.

Lead single “5 AM” – now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets – debuted at number 15 on the UK Singles Chart. The track was written by Katy B along with Guy Chambers and Gordon “Geeneus” Williams.

Other album contributors include The Invisible Men (Jessie J, Parker Ighile), Fraser T. Smith (Adele, Britney Spears), Kurtis “The Arcade” McKenzie (Conor Maynard, Rita Ora) and Al Shux (Elle Varner, Cheryl Cole).

Katy B has confirmed the title of her upcoming sophomore album.

The British singer/songwriter – real name Kathleen Anne Brien – dubbed her new collection “Little Red” and will release it later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / Rinse / Columbia Records.

New single “5 AM” – which serves as the follow-up to “What Love is Made Of” – will be available for download from October 28 via iTunes.

Other tracks slotted for inclusion on the follow-up to 2010’s “On a Mission” are “Sapphire Blue,” “Next Thing” and “Hot Like Fire.”

“What Love is Made Of” marks the lead single from the British singer/songwriter’s upcoming sophomore album, which serves as the follow-up to 2010’s “On a Mission” [Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records].

The video was directed by Emil Nava, who previously teamed up with other artists including Rita Ora [Roc Nation / Columbia Records], Jessie J [Universal Music Group / Republic Records], Leona Lewis [Simco Limited / Syco Music] and Beyonce Knowles [Parkwood Entertainment / Columbia Records].
