Katy Perry joins forces with Nicki Minaj for new single “Swish Swish”

American singer/songwriter Katheryn Hudson, professionally known as Katy Perry, has released her new promotional single online.

“Swish Swish” – which was produced by Duke Dumont alongside Noah “Mailbox” Passovoy and PJ “PromNite” Sledge – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The Nicki Minaj-featuring track was also co-written by Sarah Hudson (Dua Lipa, Charli XCX) and Brittany “Starrah” Hazzard (Rihanna, Halsey).

In case you didn’t know, “Swish Swish” marks the second collaboration between Minaj and Perry, as the latter co-wrote “Get on Your Knees,” taken from Minaj’s 2014 album “The Pinkprint,” alongside Sarah Hudson, Chloe Angelides, Jacob “JKash” Kasher, Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, and Henry “CIRKUT” Walter.

Perry’s upcoming fifth studio collection “Witness,” on the other hand, will arrive on June 9th via Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

The follow-up to 2013’s “Prism” – featuring singles “Chained to the Rhythm” and “Bon Appetit” – delivers further contributions from Max Martin (Tori Kelly), Sia Furler (Camila Cabello), Ali Payami (Ellie Goulding), Ferras Al-Qaisi (Ricky Martin), Shellback (Taylor Swift) and Oscar Holter (Demi Lovato).

“Bon Appetit” – featuring Migos – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Perry alongside Max Martin (Harry Styles, Taylor Swift) and Ferras Alqaisi (Ricky Martin, Idina Menzel).

Production duties on “Bon Appetit” were collectively handled by Johan “Shellback” Schuster (Adele, Justin Timberlake) and Oscar Holter (Demi Lovato, Ellie Goulding).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Perry’s upcoming fifth album – featuring previous single “Chained to the Rhythm” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

Katy Perry has unleashed the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the Mathew Cullen-directed clip for “Chained to the Rhythm” to her Vevo channel on Tuesday (February 21, 2017).

The Skip Marley-featuring track was co-written by Australian singer/songwriter Sia Furler, who previously teamed up with Perry on the Greg Kurstin-produced “Double Rainbow” and Britney Spears’ “Passenger.”

Production duties on “Chained to the Rhythm” were collectively handled by Swedish hitmakers Max Martin (Pink, Taylor Swift) and Ali Payami (Ariana Grande, The Weeknd).

Perry’s fourth studio collection, on the other hand, is scheduled to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Prism,” which topped the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Roar,” “Unconditionally,” “Dark Horse,” and “Birthday.”

The track was co-written by Australian singer/songwriter Sia Furler, who previously teamed up with Perry on the Greg Kurstin-produced “Double Rainbow” and Britney Spears’ “Passenger.”

Production duties on “Chained to the Rhythm” were collectively handled by Swedish hitmakers Max Martin (Colbie Caillat, Harry Styles) and Ali Payami (Ariana Grande, The Weeknd).

Perry’s fourth studio collection, on the other hand, is scheduled to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

Katy Perry has debuted her new single online.

The singer-songwriter posted the promotional visual clip for “Rise” to her Vevo channel on Friday (July 15, 2016).

“Rise” – which was created as an anthem for the 2016 Summer Olympics – is now available for streaming on Apple Music and for download via iTunes.

The track was co-written by Savan Kotecha (Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly), Ali Payami (Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding) and Max Martin (Tinashe, Nick Jonas).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Perry’s upcoming studio collection is expected to be released later this year via Capitol Records.

Katy Perry enlists Dallas Austin, Andreas Carlsson for new album

Katy Perry has enlisted the songwriting and production services of Dallas Austin and Andreas Carlsson for her upcoming fifth album.

Austin’s extensive production/songwriting resume includes works for TLC (“Creep”), Madonna (“Secret”), Pink (“Don’t Let Me Get Me”), Janet Jackson (“Just a Little While”) and Rihanna (“Four Five Seconds”).

Meanwhile, Carlsson is responsible for co-writing Britney Spears’ “Born to Make You Happy” [Jive Records], LeAnn Rimes’ “Life Goes On” [Curb Records] and Celine Dion’s “That’s the Way It Is” [Columbia Records].

Perry’s next studio collection is expected to hit stores and digital outlets later this year through Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Prism,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned hit singles including “Roar,” “Unconditionally,” “Dark Horse” and “Birthday.”

Kelly Clarkson teams with Jesse Shatkin for new album

Kelly Clarkson has teamed with Jesse Shatkin for her upcoming studio album.

Shatkin is responsible for co-writing and producing “Chandelier” by Sia [RCA Records], “Kiss Me Once” by Kylie Minogue [Parlophone Records] and “Waiting for Lightning” by Cheryl [Polydor Records].

His resume also includes works for Leona Lewis [Island Records], Katy Perry [Capitol Records], Selena Gomez [Interscope Records], Pink [RCA Records] and Brooke Candy [Monkey Puzzle Records].

Meanwhile, Clarkson is confirmed to release her seventh studio collection next year via RCA Records. The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Wrapped in Red,” which debuted at number three on the US Albums Chart.

Other producers and songwriters expected to appear on the highly-anticipated project are Greg Kurstin (Britney Spears, Lana Del Rey) and Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins (Nelly Furtado, Mariah Carey).
