Beyonce unleashes new album “The Lion King: The Gift”

Beyonce has released her new project online.

“The Lion King: The Gift” – which was inspired by Disney’s new version of the classic film – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Curated and produced by Beyonce, the highly-anticipated collection features guest appearances from Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Jessie Reyez, and Blue Ivy Carter.

Among the musicians who contributed to the album are Labrinth, Ilya Salmanzadeh, Raye, Ari PenSmith, P2J, Stacy Barthe, Diplo, Sounwave, Akil King, Starrah, Biopolar Sunshine, Kaydence, Nija Charles, and Nova Wav.

Maroon 5 release new single “Don’t Wanna Know”

Maroon 5 have released their new single online.

“Don’t Wanna Know” – featuring Kendrick Lamar – is now available for download via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Lead vocalist Adam Levine wrote the track alongside Jacob Kasher Hindlin (Charlie Puth, Selena Gomez), Ammar Malik (James Blunt, The Weeknd) and John Henry Ryan (Colbie Caillat, Louisa Johnson).

Production duties on “Don’t Wanna Know” were collectively handled by Benny Blanco (Katy Perry, Britney Spears), The Arcade (Nicola Roberts, Rita Ora) and Louie Lastic (GoldLink, Snakehips).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Maroon 5’s next studio collection is expected to arrive later this year via 222 Records and Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “V,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Sugar,” “Maps” and “Animals.”

Maroon 5 draft Kendrick Lamar for new single “Don’t Wanna Know”

Maroon 5 have announced the details for their new single.

The American pop rock band christened “Don’t Wanna Know” – featuring Kendrick Lamar – as the lead single from their upcoming sixth album and will officially release it at midnight ET.

“Don’t Wanna Know” was co-written by Adam Levine alongside Jacob Kasher (Bebe Rexha), Ammar Malik (Nick Jonas), Benny Blanco (Ed Sheeran), John Henry Ryan (John Legend) and The Arcade (Rita Ora).

Maroon 5’s next studio collection is expected to arrive later this year via 222 Records and Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “V,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Sugar,” “Maps” and “Animals.”

Raye covers Kendrick Lamar’s “Sing About Me”

Raye has shared a new cover video online.

The British singer-songwriter posted her rendition of Kendrick Lamar’s “Sing About Me” to YouTube on Tuesday (February 16, 2016).

Raye’s upcoming major-label debut project – featuring the BloodPop-produced “Tell Me” – will be released later this year through Polydor Records.

Moreover, she collaborated with top songwriters and producers including Labrinth, Emeli Sande, Bless Beats, Jin Jin, Wayne Wilkins, Jimmy Napes, MNEK, Chris Loco, Arnthor Birgisson, and Knox Brown.

On the songwriting front, Raye co-penned “All Cried Out” for Jacob Manson and Adam Englefield of UK house production duo Blonde along with Cass Lowe and Lucas Secon. The Alex Newell-featuring track peaked to number four on the UK Singles Chart.

Taylor Swift - Bad Blood

Taylor Swift has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer and songwriter posted the visual clip for “Bad Blood” – featuring Kendrick Lamar – to her Vevo channel on Sunday (May 17, 2015).

“Bad Blood” was written by Swift along with regular collaborators Max Martin (Dido, Kelly Clarkson) and Shellback (Maroon 5, Adam Lambert).

Video treatment was handled by Joseph Khan, whose other credits include Britney Spears’ “Perfume” [RCA], Shakira’s “Can’t Remember to Forget You” [Sony Music Latin] and Mariah Carey’s “#Beautiful” [Def Jam].

Swift’s latest album “1989” – featuring previous promotional cuts “Style,” “Blank Space” and “Shake it Off” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Big Machine Records.

Chris Brown premieres “Autumn Leaves” music video

Chris Brown has premiered a new music video online.

The R&B singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Autumn Leaves” to his official Vevo page on Thursday (January 22, 2015).

“Autumn Leaves” appears on the artist’s latest album, “X,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The Kendrick Lamar-assisted track was co-written by Leon “RoccStar” Youngblood, who previously teamed with Brown on hit single “Fine China.”

Production duties on “Autumn Leaves” were handled by Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge, whose other credits include K. Michelle’s “Love ‘Em All” [Atlantic Records] and Kandace Springs’ “Love Got in the Way” [SRP Records].

In related news, Brown recently completed shooting the music video for the DJ Mustard-produced “Post to Be” with Omarion and Jhene Aiko.

He also features on regular collaborator Sevyn Streeter’s latest single “Don’t Kill the Fun,” which is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Warner Music Group imprint Atlantic Records.

Bridget Kelly has teamed with Da Internz for her upcoming debut album.

The songwriting and production duo – consisting of members Ernest “Tuo” Clark and Marcos “Kosine” Palacios – recently helmed “Clueless” for Usher along with RoccStar, Dewain Whitmore and J-Doe.

They have also contributed to the next projects by Nicki Minaj [Republic Records], Rihanna [Roc Nation], Sevyn Streeter [Atlantic Records], Jazmine Sullivan [RCA Records] and Tamia [Def Jam Recordings].

Meanwhile, Kelly will release her first full-length LP next year. “All or Nothing” serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Cut To…Bridget Kelly,” which spawned the Kendrick Lamar-assisted / Shea Taylor-produced “Street Dreamin.”

“That’s Me Right There” – featuring the Kendrick Lamar-assisted title track – is now available for download via iTunes (US).

The highly-anticipated project boasts productions from Harmony “H-Money” Samuels (Brandy, Teyana Taylor), Kenneth “Soundz” Coby (Usher, Trey Songz) and Symbolyc One (Tamar Braxton, Keyshia Cole).

On the songwriting front, Jasmine V has teamed up with Carmen Reece (Jessica Mauboy, Ariana Grande), Al Sherrod Lambert (Omarion, Fantasia Barrino) and Sam Hook (Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige).

Her as-yet-untitled full-length debut album is expected to hit stores and digital outlets during the first quarter of 2015 via Interscope Records.

Mayer Hawthorne releases “Crime” music video

Mayer Hawthorne has released a new music video online.

The singer, songwriter and record producer posted the Rashida Jones-directed clip for “Crime” to his official Vevo page on Tuesday (September 30, 2014).

“Crime” – featuring Kendrick Lamar – is taken from the artist’s third album, “Where Does This Door Go,” out now via Republic Records.

The track was produced by Warren “Oak” Felder and Steve “Ace” Mostyn, who are also responsible for Ella Henderson’s “Give Your Heart Away” [Syco Music] and Jennifer Lopez’s “Expertease” [Capitol Records].

“Where Does This Door Go” also includes the Jessie Ware-assisted “Her Favorite Song” and Pharrell Williams-produced “Reach Out Richard.”
