Arin Ray releases new EP “Phases II”

Arin Ray has released his new EP online.

“Phases II” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The EP includes singles “Change” (featuring Kehlani) and “A Seat,” as well as three new songs in the shape of “ZZZ,” “Don’t Chase” and “The Get Down.”

Among the musicians backing Ray on “Phases II” are The Rascals (Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly), Babyface (Toni Braxton, Mariah Carey), Sir Dylan (The Weeknd, John Legend) and Lord Quest (Schoolboy Q, Talib Kweli).

On the songwriting and production front, Ray is known for helming K. Michelle’s “Ain’t You,” Jason Derulo’s “Love Like That,” Justin Skye’s “Back for More,” Jeremih’s “Feel Like Phil,” and Maeta’s “Be Mine.”

Kehlani teases new collaboration with Oak Felder, Pop Wansel

Kehlani has teased a new collaboration with Oak Felder and Pop Wansel.

“Second album coming and all i’m saying is rnb man… rnb. i said no snippets but fuck it this shit rockin @oakestra @popwansel,” the American singer/songwriter posted to Instagram on Tuesday (August 27, 2018).

Felder and Wansel previously teamed up with Kehlani on “Distraction,” “Not Used to It,” “Everything is Yours,” “Advice,” “Escape,” “In My Feelings,” “Hold Me By The Heart” and “Thank You,” taken from her debut album under Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records, 2017’s “SweetSexySavage.”

For her sophomore studio collection, Kehlani has also worked with Jermaine Dupri (Mariah Carey, Trey Songz), Bryan Michael Cox (Aaliyah, Toni Braxton), Nija Charles (Beyonce, Lauren Jauregui), Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds (Usher, Janet Jackson) and The Rascals (Ariana Grande, Justine Skye).

Kehlani also provided vocals on “Change,” taken from Arin Ray’s upcoming project under Interscope Records. The track – which was produced by Ray alongside Camden Bench and The Rascals – is now available via Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Jessie Reyez drafts Babyface, The Rascals for new single “Body Count”

Canadian singer/songwriter Jessica Reyes, known professionally as Jessie Reyez, has released her new promotional single online.

“Body Count” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was produced by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds alongside Khristopher Riddick-Tynes and Leon Thomas of The Rascals, who are also responsible for Zendaya’s “Something New,” Ariana Grande’s “Baby I,” Samantha Jade’s “Shake That,” Jessica Mauboy’s “Can I Get a Moment?,” Ravaughn’s “Best Friend,” Deborah Cox’s “Kinda Miss You,” and Foxes’ “Scar.”

Reyez’s upcoming debut album – featuring further contributions from Jahaan Sweet, Boi-1da, Tobias Jesso Jr., Happy Perez, Fred Ball, Two Inch Punch, Chris Braide, Salaam Remi, Hazebanga, Fredro, Chris Loco, Jason Evigan, and Poo Bear – is scheduled to arrive later this year via FMLY / Polydor Records.

Reyez also co-wrote “One Kiss” for Scottish record producer and DJ Calvin Harris. The Dua Lipa-featuring track topped the UK Singles Chart and peaked to number two on the US Billboard Hot Dance / Electronic Songs Chart.

Charlie Puth drafts Kehlani for new promotional single “Done for Me”

American singer, songwriter, and record producer Charlie Puth has drafted fellow recording artist Kehlani for his new promotional single.

“Done for Me” – which was co-written by Jacob “JKash” Kasher and co-produced by John “JRY” Ryan – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Puth’s sophomore album “Voicenotes” – featuring previous singles “How Long,” “If You Leave Me Now” and “Attention” – is scheduled to arrive on May 11 via APG / Atlantic Records.

The follow-up to 2016’s “Nine Track Mind” reportedly boasts further contributions from Ross Golan, Johan Carlsson, Ammo, Rami Yacoub, Carl Falk, Sean Douglas, Jason Evigan, Billy Walsh, Ian Kirkpatrick, Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder, Ilsey Juber, Eskeerdo, Toby Gad, Pharrell Williams, and Babyface.

Kehlani shares new promotional single “Let Me Live”

American singer/songwriter Kehlani has shared her new single online.

“Let Me Live” – which appears on the original motion picture soundtrack “Wrinkle in Time” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Let Me Live” were collectively handled by Ali Payami alongside Brittany Coney and Denisia Andrews of NOVA WAV, who are also responsible for DJ Khaled’s “Top Off,” Kelly Clarkson’s “Whole Lotta Woman,” Britney Spears’ “Hard to Forget Ya,” and Demi Lovato’s “I Believe.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Kehlani is expected to release her upcoming sophomore album – featuring promotional singles “Honey,” “Again,” “Touch” and “Already Won” – later this year via TSNMI / Atlantic Records.

The follow-up to 2017’s “SweetSexySavage” boasts productions and songwriting contributions from Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Geoffro Cause, Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox, Ryan Tedder, Noel Zancanella, Brent Kutzle, JMIKE, Prince Charlez, Jetmir Salli, Angel Lopez, and Khristopher Riddick-Tynes.

Jessie Reyez teams up with Lewis Capaldi for new single “Rush”

Canadian singer/songwriter Jessie Reyez has teamed with fellow recording artist Lewis Capaldi for his new promotional single “Rush,” which is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Rush” were handled by James “Malay” Ho, whose resume boasts additional works with Sam Smith (“Midnight Train”), Frank Ocean (“Nikes”), Zayn Malik (“It’s You”), Alessia Cara (“Wild Things”), Tori Kelly (“Talk”), Alicia Keys (“One Thing”) and John Legend (“Green Light”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Reyez is expected to release her first studio collection later this year via Universal Music Group / Polydor Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers contributions from The Rascals, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Jason Evigan, Chris Loco, Fredro, Salaam Remi, Chris Braide, Jason Boyd, HazeBanga, Benny Blanco, Two Inch Punch, Georgia Ku, Fred Ball, Jesse Shatkin, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Will IDAP.
