Khalid liberates new promotional single “Stay”

American singer/songwriter Khalid Donnel Robinson, known mononymously as Khalid, has liberated his new promotional single online.

“Stay” – which appears on the original motion picture soundtrack “Uncle Drew” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Scribz Riley alongside Billy Walsh, who has also worked with Alicia Keys (“In Common”), The Weeknd (“True Colors”), Camila Cabello (“Real Friends”) and Emeli Sande (“Starlight”).

Production duties on “Stay” were handled by Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen of Stargate, whose other credits include Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes,” Daya’s “New,” Majid Jordan’s “Body Talk,” Tinashe’s “Faded Love,” Ne-Yo’s “Push Back,” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Almost Love.”

Khalid’s upcoming sophomore album – featuring productions and songwriting contributions from Sam Romans, Hit-Boy, and Darhyl “DJ” Camper – is expected to arrive later this year via RCA Records.

Shawn Mendes delivers new promotional single “Youth”

Shawn Mendes has delivered his new promotional single online.

“Youth” – featuring fellow recording artist Khalid – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Produced by Joel Little; “Youth” was also co-written by Mendes alongside Teddy Geiger, Geoffrey Warburton, Scott Harris and Nolan Lambroza.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Mendes is scheduled to release his third album – featuring previous promotional singles “In My Blood” and “Lost in Japan” – on May 24 via Universal Music Group / Island Records.

The self-titled collection yields additional productions and songwriting contributions from Julia Michaels, Ed Sheeran, Louis Bell, Frank Dukes, Amy Allen, John Mayer, Ryan Tedder, and Zach Skelton.

Shawn Mendes enlists Khalid for new promotional single “Youth”

Canadian singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes has enlisted fellow recording artist Khalid for his new promotional single “Youth,” which will arrive on May 3rd via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Production duties on “Youth” were handled by Joel Little, whose resume boasts additional works with Sam Smith (“Reminds Me of You”), Bebe Rexha (“The Way I Are”), Lorde (“Green Light”), Ellie Goulding (“Paradise”), Kesha (“This is Me”), Ruth B (“In My Dreams”) and Jarryd James (“Give Me Something”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Mendes is scheduled to release his self-titled third album – featuring current promotional singles “In My Blood” and “Lost in Japan” – on May 24 via Universal Music Group / Island Records.

The follow-up to 2016’s “Illuminate” yields additional alliances with Scott Harris, Teddy Geiger, Geoffrey Warburton, Julia Michaels, Ed Sheeran, Louis Bell, Frank Dukes, Amy Allen, John Mayer, Ryan Tedder, and Zach Skelton.

Shawn Mendes has confirmed the details for his upcoming album.

The Canadian singer/songwriter is scheduled to release his third studio collection on May 24 via Universal Music Group / Island Records.

The self-titled project is preceded by lead promotional singles “In My Blood” and “Lost in Japan,” which are now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Having reunited with regular collaborators Scott Harris, Teddy Geiger and Geoffrey Warburton; Mendes has also worked with Julia Michaels, Ed Sheeran, Khalid, Louis Bell, Frank Dukes, Amy Allen, John Mayer, Ryan Tedder, and Zach Skelton on the follow-up to 2016’s “Illuminate.”

“OTW” – featuring guest appearances from fellow recording artists 6LACK and Ty Dolla $ign – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “OTW” were handled by Nineteen85, who is also responsible for Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” PartyNextDoor’s “Not Nice,” Jessie Ware’s “Desire,” Majid Jordan’s “My Love,” Nicki Minaj’s “Truffle Butter,” Jennifer Hudson’s “Dangerous,” and DJ Khaled’s “For Free.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Khalid’s upcoming sophomore studio collection – featuring additional alliances with Stargate, Hit-Boy, Sam Romans, and Scribz Riley – is scheduled to arrive later this year via RCA Records.

The Norwegian production and songwriting duo – composed of Mikkel Eriksen and Tor Hermansen – recently helmed “No Drama” and “Faded Love” for Tinashe. Both tracks are taken from the artist’s upcoming album, “Joyride,” out on April 13 via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Stargate’s credits also include Ne-Yo’s “Push Back,” Charli XCX’s “Track 10,” Majid Jordan’s “Body Talk,” Camila Cabello’s “OMG,” Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes,” Bebe Rexha’s “I Got Time,” Rachel Platten’s “Broken Glass,” Christina Aguileta’s “Telepathy,” and Zara Larsson’s “Sundown.”

Meanwhile, Khalid is expected to release his sophomore studio collection – featuring additional alliances with Scribz Riley, Hit-Boy, and Sam Romans – later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

Having dropped his debut album “American Teen” in early 2017, Khalid also teamed up with fellow recording artists Normani Kordei and Sabrina Claudio on their singles “Love Lies” and “Don’t Let Me Down,” respectively.

Romans is known for co-writing Craig David’s “Heartline,” Mary J. Blige’s “Doubt,” Ella Mai’s “Makes Me Wonder,” Clean Bandit’s “Tears,” AlunaGeorge’s “I’m in Control,” Little Mix’s “If I Had My Way,” Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Fade to Nothing,” Melissa Steel’s “You Love Me,” and Kwabs’ “Father Figure.”

Born Chauncey Hollis Jr., Hit-Boy’s production resume boasts works with Drake (“Trophies”), Beyonce (“Bow Down”), Kelly Rowland (“Lay it On Me”), Mary J. Blige (“Stronger”), Rihanna (“Watch n’ Learn”), Nicki Minaj (“Feeling Myself”), Mariah Carey (“Thirsty”) and Chloe x Halle (“Red Lights”).

Meanwhile, Khalid is expected to release his next project and follow-up to 2017’s “American Teen” later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

His current promotional single “Love Lies” with Normani Kordei – which was co-written by Taylor “Tayla Parx” Parks alongside Ryan “Charlie Handsome” Vojtesak and Jamil “Digi” Chammas – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.
