K. Michelle announces details for new album “All Monsters Are Human”

K. Michelle has announced the details for her upcoming album.

The American singer/songwriter (born Kimberly Pate) dubbed her fifth studio collection “All Monsters Are Human” and will release it on 31 January via Entertainment One Music / No Color No Sound Records.

Current promotional single “The Rain” – which samples New Edition’s 1988 hit single “Can You Stand the Rain” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2017’s “Kimberly: The People I Used to Know” also features contributions from Troy Taylor, Jazze Pha, Ronnie Jackson, Uforo Ebong, Darhyl “DJ” Camper,  Rico Love, Chad “C-Note” Roper , Drumma Boy, Gabrielle “Goldie” Nowee, and Louis York (aka Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony).

K. Michelle drafts Prince Charlez for new single “Talk to God”

K. Michelle has announced the details for her new single.

The American singer/songwriter (born Kimberly Pate) christened “Talk to God” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming fourth album under Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The track was co-written by fellow recording artist Charles Hinshaw Jr. (professionally known Prince Charlez), whose resume boasts further works with Rihanna (“Needed Me”), Grace (“Hell of a Girl”), Trey Songz (“Song Goes Off”), Beyonce (“Ring Off”), Mary J. Blige (“Love Yourself”), Ella Mai (“Who Knew”), Usher (“More”) and Zedd & Liam Payne (“Get Low”).

Other songwriters expected to appear on the follow-up to 2016’s “More Issues Than Vogue,” tentatively entitled “The People I Used to Know,” are Bianca Atterberry, Lyrica Anderson, Rosina Russell, Sevyn Streeter, Claude Kelly, Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, and Gabrielle “Goldie” Nowee.

Fans of Prince Charlez’s songwriting works, on the other hand, should keep an eye on the next releases by Nicki Minaj, Jessie J, Tamar Braxton, Lily Allen, Starley, Conrad Sewell, Sky Ferreira, and Jazmine Sullivan.

K. Michelle has collaborated with Lyrica Anderson for her fourth album.

The American singer/songwriter is known for co-writing Chris Brown’s “Privacy,” Beyonce’s “Drunk in Love,” Tinashe’s “Pretend,” Christina Milian’s “Paint Me Pink,” Mya’s “Walka Not a Talka,” Elijah Blake’s “I Just Wanna,” Jason Derulo’s “Love Like That,” MoZella’s “Luvsik,” Demi Lovato’s “All Night Long,” Leighton Meester’s “Body Control,” and Keke Palmer’s “Footworkin.”

Anderson’s resume boasts additional works with fellow musicians including Soulshock & Karlin, Timbaland, Nire AllDai, Jim Beanz, Evan “Kidd” Bogart, Detail, J Angel, Printz Board, Sterling Simms, Warren “Oak” Felder, Nate Walker, Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem, The Runners, Shep Solomon, Dapo Tormiro, Blac Elvis, Mark Fiest, Eric Hudson, Toby Gad, and Stargate.

The follow-up to 2016’s “More Issues Than Vogue” is expected to delivers further songwriting contributions from Bianca “Blush” Atterberry (Meghan Trainor), Rosina “Soaky Siren” Russell (David Guetta), Claude Kelly (Le’Andria Johnson), Amber “Sevyn” Streeter (Tamar Braxton), Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd (Jennifer Lopez) and Gabrielle “Goldie” Nowee (Christina Aguilera).

K. Michelle has drafted Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd for her upcoming fourth album.

“My last studio session for my new album was spent with a genius crazy man. Wait till you guys hear this one #PooBear,” the singer-songwriter posted to Instagram on Saturday (February 04, 2017).

Boyd is known for co-writing international hit singles including “What Do You Mean” (Justin Bieber), “Where Are U Now” (Jack Ü), “She Ain’t You” (Chris Brown), “Bitch Bad” (Lupe Fiasco) and “Work” (Kelly Rowland).

His extensive resume boasts further works with Usher (“Caught Up”), Pink (“Love is Such a Crazy Thing”), Kelis (“Handful”), Ludacris (“Contagious”), Mya (“Lock U Down”), Amerie (“Just Like Me”) and Blu Cantrell (“Round Up”).

Meanwhile, K. Michelle – real name Kimberly Pate – will release her next studio collection later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

K. Michelle has debuted her new single online.

The singer-songwriter – real name Kimberly Pate – posted the audio clip for “Time” to her YouTube channel on Thursday (February 25, 2016).

“Time” was co-written by Priscilla Renea Hamilton, whose other credits include Monica’s “I Miss Music” [RCA], Fifth Harmony’s “Worth It” [Syco], Tamar Braxton’s “Tip Toe” [Streamline] and Mariah Carey’s “Infinity” [Epic].

Production duties were handled by Eric Hudson, who also worked with the likes of Marsha Ambrosius (“Shoes”), Omarion (“Entourage”), Bridget Kelly (“Special Delivery”), Mary J. Blige (“Why?”) and Keyshia Cole (“Missing Me”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, K. Michelle will release her third studio collection “More Issues Than Vogue” – featuring previous singles “Not a Little Bit,” “Ain’t You” and “Mindful” – on March 25 via Atlantic Records.

The keenly awaited project follows to 2014’s “Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart?,” which debuted at number six on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Hard to Do” and “Maybe I Should Call.”

The singer-songwriter – real name Kimberly Pate – will release “More Issues Than Vogue” on March 25 through Atlantic Records.

The highly-anticipated collection follows 2014’s “Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart?,” which debuted at number six on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Current single “Ain’t You” – now available for download via iTunes – was co-written by Hitmaka, Jeremih, Chi Hoover, Arin Ray and Drew Love. Production is credited to The Mekanics, Hitmaka, OZ and UC.

Other album contributors include Shep Crawford (Tamia), Diane Warren (Beyonce), Troy Taylor (Trey Songz), Sevyn Streeter (Chris Brown), Knox Brown (Usher), Priscilla Renea (Rihanna), and Pop & Oak (Kehlani).
