Mahalia drafts Sam Dew for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Mahalia Burkmar, known mononymously as Mahalia, has drafted fellow recording artist Sam Dew for a new collaboration.

Dew’s songwriting resume boasts works with Kelela (“Blue Light”), Lianne La Havas (“What You Don’t Do”), Santigold (“Before the Fire”), Jessie Ware (“Sweetest Song”), Mary J. Blige (“Self Love”), Rihanna (“Numb”), Bridget Kelly (“The Mouth”) and Marsha Ambrosius (“Night Time”).

Meanwhile, Mahalia’s current promotional single “Do Not Disturb” – which was co-written by Alastair O’Donnell, Felix Joseph, Aston Rudi, and Jonny Lattimer – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

For her upcoming sophomore album under Atlantic Records UK, Mahalia has also worked with Kuya Productions (Ella Henderson, Tamera Foster), Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran, Kylie Minogue), Grades (Nao, Paloma Faith), Jennifer Decilveo (Anne-Marie, Diana Gordon) and Sam Romans (Raye, Craig David).

Mahalia releases new promotional single “No Reply”

British singer/songwriter Mahalia Rose Burkmar, known mononymously as Mahalia, has released her new promotional single online.

“No Reply” – which was written by Mahalia alongside fellow recording artists J. Warner and Maths Time Joy – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Mahalia’s sophomore album – featuring previous singles “Proud of Me,” “No Pressure,” “Hold On” and “Sober” – expected to arrive later this year via Asylum Records (UK) and Atlantic Records (US).

The follow-up to 2016’s “Diary of Me” reportedly delivers further contributions from Kuya Productions (Tamera Foster, Ella Henderson), Grades (Jessie Ware, Ady Suleiman), Sam Romans (John Legend, Alicia Keys), Felix Joseph (Jorja Smith, Elli Ingram) and Amy Wadge (Kylie Minogue, Ed Sheeran).

Tamera Foster hits the studio with Naughty Boy, Fancy Hagood for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Tamera Foster has teamed up with record producer Naughty Boy and fellow recording artist Fancy Hagood for a new collaboration.

Having previously collaborated with Ariana Grande and Meghan Trainor on his own single, the Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem-produced “Boys Like You,” Hagood’s songwriting resume boasts additional works with Christina Aguilera (“Change”), Lucy Hale (“You Sound Good to Me”), Goldhouse (“Over”), Niykee Heaton (“Skin Tight”) and Ben Bradford (“Tequila Makes the World Go Round”).

Meanwhile, Naughty Boy is known for his production works with Emeli Sande (“Heaven”), Leona Lewis (“Trouble”), Rihanna (“Half of Me”), Cheryl (“Craziest Things”), Marlon Roudette (“Anti Hero”), Jess Glynne (“Saddest Vanilla”), Mary J. Kelly Clarkson has unwrapped the tracklisting for her upcoming eighth album “Meaning of Life,” which will arrive on October 27 via Atlantic Records.

Featuring current singles “Love So Soft” and “Move on You;” the follow-up to 2015’s “Piece By Piece” boasts songwriting contributions from MoZella (Charlie Puth), Audra Mae (Fantasia), Priscilla Renea (Alicia Keys), Ilsey Juber (Beyonce), Harloe (Nick Jonas) and Michael Pollack (Charli XCX).

Mahalia has premiered the music video for new single online.

The British singer/songwriter (born Mahalia Rose Burkmar) posted the visual clip for “Sober” to her YouTube channel on Thursday (July 27, 2017).

Co-written with Jessy Rose and produced by Maths Time Joy, the track is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

For her next project under Asylum Records (UK) and Atlantic Records (US), which follows 2016’s “Diary of Me,” Mahalia has also worked with Kuya Productions (Alessia Cara), Sam Romans (Louis Tomlinson), Amy Wadge (Kylie Minogue), Felix Joseph (Abi Ocia) and GRADES (Jessie Ware).
