TLC confirm new single details

TLC have confirmed the details for their new single.

The American girl group christened “Way Back” – featuring Snoop Dogg – as the lead single from their upcoming album and will release it on April 14 via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by group member T-Boz – real name Tionne Watkins – alongside James “JHart” Abrahart, whose credits include Jake Miller’s “Good Thing,” Zara Larsson’s “I Would Like,” Charlie Puth’s “Dangerously,” Little Mix’s “Power,” Justin Bieber’s “Company,” and Rita Ora’s “Body on Me.”

Production duties on “Way Back” were handled by Dernst “D’Mile” Emile, who is also responsible for LeToya Luckett’s “I’m Ready,” Usher’s “Mind of a Man,” Jordin Sparks’ “Casual Love,” Daye Jack’s “Supernatural,” Wynter Gordon’s “Back to You,” Mack Wilds’ “Go Crazy,” and Ariana Grande’s “Moonlight.”

As mentioned in various media outlets, TLC’s final studio collection – which was executive produced by Ron Fair – will arrive on June 30.

The follow-up to 2002’s “3D” reportedly delivers additional alliances with Dallas Austin (Madonna, Janet Jackson), Makeba Riddick (Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez), Kwame Holland (Fantasia, Christina Aguilera), Rock City (Ciara, Kelly Rowland) and Candice Pillay (Rihanna, Christina Aguilera).

Meleni Smith, also known by her stage name Polly A., is an American singer-songwriter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

She is known for her singles “The Brooklyn Sun,” “Denial,” “Pick Your Poison,” “Nature,” “Meet Me in the Bathroom” and “Happy,” which was featured on the original motion picture soundtrack “Hitch” and later on covered by Natasha Bedingfield.

On the songwriting front, Smith has co-penned tracks for Alicia Keys (“Love is My Disease”), J. Cole (“Crooked Smile”), Selena Gomez (“Bang Bang Bang”), Nadine Coyle (“Feels Like Love”), Jordin Sparks (“Left … Right”), Nicole Scherzinger (“Satellite”), and Kat Dahlia (“Mirror”).

She also collaborated with top producers and fellow songwriters including Soulshock & Karlin, Frankie Storm, Toby Gad, Priscilla Renea, Salaam Remi, Crada, Kwame Holland, Syience, Jonas Jeberg, Fernando Garibay, Happy Perez, Boi-1da, Quiz & Larossi, Dave Tozer, Chuck Harmony, and Stargate.

Her latest single “Ghetto Gold Dream” – which was produced by regular collaborator Synematik – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with 222 Records and Interscope Records.

Lauriana Mae has debuted a new song online.

The singer/songwriter posted “Fly Away” – which features Mazon – to her official SoundCloud page on Sunday (June 1st, 2014).

As previously reported, Mae will release her as-yet-untitled debut album later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The project will boast productions from Kwame Holland (Christina Aguilera, Fantasia Barrino), Polow Da Don (Ciara, Keri Hilson), Jack Splash (Solange, Pixie Lott) and Pharrell Williams (Brandy, Kelly Rowland).

Marlon Roudette collaborates with Kwame Holland for new material

Marlon Roudette has recently collaborated with Kwame Holland on new material.

The British singer/songwriter is working on his upcoming sophomore album, which is expected to be released later this year via Warner Bros. Records.

The new collection serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Matter Fixed,” which delivered hit singles including “New Age” and “Anti-Hero.”

Holland previously collaborated with Roudette on “Matter Fixed” track “10 Million.” The hitmaker also worked with artists including Lauriana Mae [Atlantic Records], Keyshia Cole [Geffen Records] and Keri Hilson [Interscope Records].

Some of Kwame’s recent songwriting and production credits include “Recovery” by Algebra Blessett [eOne Music], “Alone” by Chante Moore [Shanachie Records] and “Up / Down” by Jessica Mauboy [Sony Music Australia].

Among the other musicians expected to appear on the new LP by Marlon Roudette are Guy Chambers (Katy B, Robbie Williams), Wayne Wilkins (K’Naan, Cheryl Cole) and Danielle Brisebois (Donna Summer, Natasha Bedingfield).

Polly A. confirms new collaboration with Boi-1da

Polly A. has recently teamed up with Canadian hitmaker Boi-1da.

It is yet to be known whether the end of results of this collaboration will appear on the artist’s upcoming as-yet-untitled sophomore album, which serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “My Heart in Focus.”

Boi-1da – born Matthew Samuels – previously collaborated with major hip hop artists including Drake [Republic Records], Big Sean [Island Records], J. Cole [Columbia Records] and Jay-Z [Roc-A-Fella Records].

Some of his notable songwriting and production credits include Kelly Rowland’s “Red Wine” [Republic Records], Cover Drive’s “Can’t Live in a World” [Polydor Records] and Chris Brown’s “Party Hard” [RCA Records].

Other musicians backing the “Denial” star on the new collection are Salaam Remi (Mack Wilds, Liam Bailey),Reginald “Syience” Perry (Beyonce, Emeli Sande) and Kwame Holland (Christina Aguilera, Lauriana Mae).

Her extensive resume also includes works written for Alicia Keys (“Love is My Disease”), Natasha Bedingfield (“Happy”), Angel Haze (“No Bueno”), Selena Gomez (“Bang Bang”) and Kat Dahlia (“Money Party”).

Algebra Blessett has released the official lyric video for her new single online.

“Mystery” is lifted from the singer/songwriter’s latest album, “Recovery,” out now via Purpose Music Group / eOne Music.

The track was written by Algebra Blessett and Josh Rivera along with Kwame Holland, who also worked with Keri Hilson [Interscope Records], Lauriana Mae [Atlantic Records] and Christina Aguilera [RCA Records].

“Recovery” – which serves as the follow-up to 2008’s “Purpose” – features further productions and songwriting contributions from Bryan Michael Cox (Usher, Mariah Carey) and Shannon Sanders (India Arie, John Legend).

Kwame has hinted at a new collaboration with TLC.

The songwriter and producer is known for collaborating with artists including Algebra Blessett [eOne Music], Lauriana Mae [Atlantic Records], Keri Hilson [Interscope Records] and Jessica Mauboy [Sony Music Australia].

Some of his notable credits include “Understand” by Christina Aguilera [RCA Records], “Not the Way I Do” by Fantasia Barrino [J Records] and “No Other” by Keyshia Cole [Geffen Records].

TLC are currently working on their next studio collection, which serves as the follow-up to 2002’s “3D.” The still-untitled project is expected to be released later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

Among the tracks confirmed on the album is “Posh Life,” co-written by Stefani “Lady GaGa” Germanotta and produced by Dallas Austin.

Other album contributors include Planet VI (Kat Dahlia, Candice Glover), Makeba Riddick (Tamar Braxton, Jennifer Lopez), Young Yonny (Elijah Blake, Justin Bieber) and Candice Pillay (Tinie Tempah, Christina Aguilera).

The singer/songwriter – born Meleni Smith – christened “Ghetto Gold Dream” as the next promotional single from her upcoming studio album.

The track was written by Polly A. along with Adeniyi Omondi Adelekan, who is more commonly known as Synematik.

Some of Meleni’s notable songwriting credits are “No Bueno” by Angel Haze [Republic Records], “Crooked Smile” by J. Cole f/ TLC [Roc Nation / Columbia Records] and “Clocks” by Kat Dahlia [Vested in Culture / Epic Records].

Algebra has unveiled the official artwork for her sophomore album.

The R&B singer/songwriter – born Algebra Felicia Blessett – will release “Recovery” on January 28 via Entertainment One.

The new collection serves as the follow-up to 2008’s “Purpose,” which held steady on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Albums Charts for 14 weeks.

Lead single “Nobody But You” was produced by Shannon Sanders, who also worked with the likes of John Legend [Columbia Records], Ledisi [Verve Music Group] and India. Arie [Motown Records].

Other hitmakers backing Algebra on “Recovery” are Bryan Michael Cox (Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey) and Kwame Holland (Lauriana Mae, Christina Aguilera).
