Jordin Sparks unveils music video for new single “They Don’t Give”

Jordin Sparks has unveiled the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “They Don’t Give” to her Vevo channel on Monday (August 10, 2015).

“They Don’t Give” was co-written by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, whose recent credits include Tamar Braxton (“Where it Hurts”), Colbie Caillat (“Try”), Celine Dion (“Always Be Your Girl”) and Samantha Jade (“Shake That”).

Production duties were handled by Salaam Remi, who is also responsible for Ella Henderson’s “Hard Work” [Syco Music], Mack Wilds’ “My Crib” [Larger Than Life Records] and Miguel’s “Face the Sun” f/ Lenny Kravitz [RCA Records].

Sparks’ third studio collection “Right Here, Right Now” – featuring previous singles “Work from Home,” “100 Years,” “Double Tap” and “It Ain’t You” – will be released on August 21 through Louder Than Life Records.

The follow-up to 2009’s “Battlefield” boasts further contributions from Meleni Smith (Beyonce, Alicia Keys), Victoria Monet (Nas, Fifth Harmony), Elijah Blake (Ciara, Keyshia Cole) and James Fauntleroy (Cassie, Jhene Aiko).

Jordin Sparks has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for the 2 Chainz-assisted “Double Tap” to her official Vevo channel on Wednesday (March 11, 2015).

“Double Tap” – now available for download via iTunes – was co-written by Victoria Monet (Fifth Harmony, Ariana Grande), Thomas Lumpkins (Britney Spears, Janet Jackson) and Jonas Jeberg (Nicole Scherzinger, Pixie Lott).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Sparks’ third studio album “Right Here, Right Now” will hit stores later this year via Larger Than Life Records.

The follow-up to 2009’s “Battlefield” is executive-produced by Salaam Remi, who also worked with Jazmine Sullivan [RCA Records], Leona Lewis [Island Records] and Mack Wilds [Larger Than Life Records].

Other album contributors are Dem Jointz (Brandy, Madison Beer), Crada (Drake, Emeli Sande), Elijah Blake (Usher, Keyshia Cole), Tommy Brown (Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez) and DJ Mustard (Omarion, Jhene Aiko).

The singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for the 2 Chainz-assisted “Double Tap” to her official Vevo channel on Tuesday (March 03, 2015).

“Double Tap” – now available for download via iTunes (US) – was written by Victoria Monet (Ariana Grande, Fifth Harmony), Thomas Lumpkins (Janet Jackson, Britney Spears) and Jonas Jeberg (Meghan Trainor, Nicki Minaj).

As mentioned in previous posts, Sparks’ third studio album “Right Here, Right Now” will hit stores and digital outlets later this year under 19 Recordings and Sony Music Entertainment imprint Larger Than Life Records.

The follow-up to 2009’s “Battlefield” is executive produced by Salaam Remi, who also worked with Jazmine Sullivan [RCA Records], Ella Henderson [Syco Music], Kat Dahlia [Epic Records] and Mack Wilds [Larger Than Life Records].

Other musicians backing Sparks on “Right Here, Right Now” are DJ Mustard (Tinashe, Omarion), Elijah Blake (Usher, Keyshia Cole), Crada (Drake, Emeli Sande) and Dem Jointz (Brandy, Christina Aguilera).

Mack Wilds teams with Key Wane for sophomore album

Mack Wilds has teamed with Key Wane on new material.

The R&B and Hip Hop record producer – born Dwane Weir – is known for collaborating with artists including Beyonce [Columbia Records], Drake [Republic Records] and Big Sean [Def Jam Recordings].

Some of his notable production credits are Jazmine Sullivan’s “Mascara” [RCA Records], Ariana Grande’s “Best Mistake” [Republic Records] and Jhene Aiko’s “Eternal Sunshine” [Def Jam Recordings].

Meanwhile, Wilds is expected to release his sophomore album later this year via Sony Music Entertainment imprint Larger Than Life Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “New York: A Love Story,” which spawned hit singles “Own It,” “My Crib” and “Henny.”

Other musicians backing Wilds on the highly-anticipated LP are Salaam Remi (Jordin Sparks, Liam Bailey), Elle Varner (Emeli Sande, Jessie J) and Darhyl “DJ” Camper (Chris Brown, John Legend).

Mack Wilds has recorded new material with Elle Varner and Darhyl Camper.

It is yet to be known whether the session is intended for a future Varner release or Wilds’ upcoming sophomore album.

On the songwriting front, Varner is co-responsible for Jessie J’s “Personal” [Republic Records], Tanika’s “Run Away” [Tim & Danny Music / Virgin EMI Records] and Miguel’s “Use Me” [RCA Records].

Meanwhile, notable production and songwriting credits by Camper include Elle Varner’s “Refill” [RCA Records], Stacy Barthe’s “Flawed Beautiful Creatures” [Motown Records] and Tamar Braxton’s “Love and War” [Epic Records].

As mentioned in previous posts, Wilds is expected to release his second studio collection later this year via Larger Than Life Records.

The still-untitled project – executive produced by Salaam Remi – serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “New York: A Love Story,” which peaked to number twenty eight on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart.

Jordin Sparks has debuted a new song online.

The singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Double Tap” – featuring 2 Chainz – to her official SoundCloud channel.

“Double Tap” – which was initially featured on the artist’s mixtape “#ByeFelicia” – is slotted for inclusion on the artist’s third album, “Right Here, Right Now,” out soon via Sony Music Entertainment / Larger Than Life Records.

Salaam Remi serves as the new CD’s executive producer. His most recent credits include Jazmine Sullivan’s “Dumb” [RCA Records], Kat Dahlia’s “Mirror” [Epic Records] and Ella Henderson’s “Hard Work” [Syco Music].

Other musicians backing Sparks on the follow-up to 2008’s “Battlefield” are Dem Jointz (Brandy, Chris Brown), Elijah Blake (Rihanna, Marsha Ambrosius), Crada (Alicia Keys, Emeli Sande) and DJ Mustard (Omarion, Jhene Aiko).

Salaam Remi hints at new Mack Wilds album

Salaam Remi has hinted at a new album by Mack Wilds.

“@MackWilds new joints Gon make ya summer ‘15” the record producer and songwriter tweeted on Tuesday (December 30, 2014).

Remi served as executive-producer for Wilds’ debut album, “New York: A Love Story,” which was released on 30 September 2013 via Larger Than Life Records.

That collection peaked at number 28 on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and delivered four singles in the shape of “Own It,” “Henny,” “Remember the Time,” and my personal favorite, “My Crib.”

On the production front, Remi confirmed further placements on the next projects by Jazmine Sullivan (“Reality Show” – RCA), Kat Dahlia (“My Garden” – Epic) and Jordin Sparks (“Right Here, Right Now” – Larger Than Life).

The legendary hitmaker recently co-wrote and produced “Hard Work” for British singer/songwriter Ella Henderson. The track appears on the artist’s debut album, “Chapter One,” out now via iTunes in partnership with Syco Music.

Jordin Sparks has confirmed the title for her upcoming third album.

The singer/songwriter christened her next studio collection “Right Here, Right Now” and will release it during 2015 via Larger Than Life Records.

Current single “It Ain’t You” – which was produced by DJ Mustard – is now available for download via iTunes (US).

“Right Here, Right Now” spawns further collaborations with Salaam Remi (Mack Wilds, Jazmine Sullivan), Elijah Blake (Rihanna, Marsha Ambrosius) and Christian “Crada” Kalla (Alicia Keys, Emeli Sande).

Sparks’ last studio collection, 2009’s “Battlefield,” peaked at number seven on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

She also co-wrote international hit single “The Way” for Ariana Grande along with Sevyn Streeter (K. Michelle, Chris Brown), Al Sherrod Lambert (Omarion, Tamar Braxton) and Harmony “H-Money” Samuels (Ne-Yo, Teyana Taylor).

Mack Wilds has released the music video for his new single online.

“Don’t Turn Me Down” is lifted from the R&B singer/songwriter’s debut album, “New York: A Love Story,” out now via Larger Than Life Records.

The track was co-written by Rico Love, whose credits include Melanie Fiona’s “4 AM” [Republic Records], Sean Paul’s “Body” [Atlantic Records] and Brandy’s “Hardly Breathing” [Chameleon Entertainment / RCA Records].

Production duties were handled by Salaam Remi, who is also responsible for Jazmine Sullivan’s “Dumb” [RCA Records], Liam Bailey’s “On My Mind” [Flying Buddha Records] and James Arthur’s “New Tattoo” [Syco Music].

“New York: A Love Story” – which was Grammy Nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album – also features singles “My Crib” and “Own It.”

Other album contributors include James Fauntleroy (Usher, Leona Lewis), Roosevelt “Bink” Harrell (Mario, John Legend), DJ Premier (Christina Aguilera, Laura Izibor) and James Poyser (Erykah Badu, Mariah Carey).

Mack Wilds has dropped the music video for his new single online.

“My Crib” marks the fourth promotional single from the singer/songwriter’s debut album, “New York: A Love Story,” out now via Larger than Life Records.

The track was produced by Salaam Remi along with Roosevelt “Bink” Harrell, whose credits include John Legend’s “Who Do We Think We Are” [Columbia Records] and Mario’s “Fatal Distraction” [RCA Records].

“New York: A Love Story” boasts further productions from James Poyser (Erykah Badu, Mariah Carey), Rico Love (Usher, Kelly Rowland), DJ Premier (Kanye West, Christina Aguilera) and Ne-Yo (Rihanna, Lionel Richie).

Meanwhile, fans of Salaam Remi’s production work should look out for the next albums by Jazmine Sullivan [RCA Records], Liam Bailey [Flying Buddha Records], Ella Henderson [Syco Music] and Kat Dahlia [Epic Records].
