Zhavia Ward enlists Shungudzo for new collaboration

Zhavia Ward has enlisted Shungudzo for a new collaboration.

The Zimbabwean/French/Native-American singer-songwriter (also known as Alexandra Govere) recently co-wrote and provided guest vocals on Rudimental’s “Toast to Our Differences,” out now via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Shungudzo’s songwriting resume boasts additional works with Little Mix (“Touch”), Alina Baraz (“I Don’t Even Know Why Though”), Victoria Monet (“Wish I Never Met You”), Louisa Johnson (“Best Behaviour”), Jessie Ware (“Your Domino”) and The Chainsmokers (“It Won’t Kill Ya”).

Meanwhile, Ward’s upcoming debut album is expected to arrive later this year via Sony Music Entertianment / Columbia Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly yields further contributions from Warren “Oak” Felder, Trevor Brown, Zaire Kaolo, Paul E. Phamous, Benny Cassette, Jenna Andrews, Wayne Hector, Priscilla Renea, Ben Abraham, Jin Jin, M-Phazes, Alex Hope, Symbolyc One, and Malay.

Zhavia Ward signs new deal with Columbia Records

Zhavia Ward has signed a new deal with Columbia Records.

The Sony Music imprint also houses artists including Beyonce, Calvin Harris, Diplo, Harry Styles, John Mayer, Haim, Leon Bridges, George Ezra, Adele, John Legend, Celine Dion, Lecrae, Noah Cyrus, and Lennon Stella.

For her upcoming debut project, Ward has worked with songwriters Priscilla Renea (Rihanna, Charlie Puth), Ben Abraham (Kesha, Ray BLK), Jin Jin (Ebba Smith, Jess Glynne) and Paul E. Phamous (Lykke Li, Nick Jonas).

On the production front, “The Four” star has teamed up with Benny Cassette (Diana Gordon, Keri Hilson), Warren Felder (Liam Payne, Demi Lovato), Alex Hope (Troye Sivan, Kacy Hill), M-Phazes (Kehlani, Zara Larsson) and Symbolyc One (Madonna, Kanye West) and Trevor Brown (Alina Baraz, Maty Noyes).

Tamar Braxton has unleashed the music video for her new single online.

The R&B singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Let Me Know” – featuring Future – to her official Vevo page on Thursday (October 23, 2014).

“Let Me Know” – which was co-written by Erick J. Coulter, Al Sherrod Lambert and Harmony Samuels – is now available for download via iTunes (US).

Braxton’s fourth studio album is expected to hit stores and digital outlets later this year via Streamline Records and Epic Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Winter Loversland,” which peaked at number 11 on the US Top R&B / Hip-Hop Albums Chart.

Among the other musicians backing Braxton on the highly-anticipated LP are Symbolyc One (Madonna, Keyshia Cole), Makeba Riddick (Brandy, Jennifer Lopez) and LaShawn Daniels (Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston).

Keyshia Cole is out with a new music video online.

The R&B singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Believer” to her official Vevo page on Tuesday (October 7, 2014).

The track was co-written by Keyshia Cole and Jasper Cameron along with Ester Dean, whose credits include Nicki Minaj’s “Pills N Potions” [Republic], Selena Gomez’s “Come & Get It” [Hollywood] and GRL’s “Ugly Heart” [RCA].

Production duties on “Believer” were handled by Stargate, who are also responsible for Tinashe’s “Feels Like Vegas” [RCA], Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow” [Island] and Maroon 5’s “Leaving California” [Interscope].

Cole’s latest studio collection “Point of No Return” is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Universal Music Group / Interscope Records.

The follow-up to 2012’s “Woman to Woman” spawns further contributions from Mike WiLL Made It (Usher, Trey Songz), DJ Mustard (Mila J, Kid Ink) and Symbolyc One (Kanye West, Tamar Braxton).

Keyshia Cole has released the music video for her new single online.

“Love Letter” – featuring Future – is lifted from the R&B singer/songwriter’s sixth album, “Point of No Return,” out now via Interscope Records.

The track was produced by Mike Will Made It and Marquel “Marz” Middlebrooks, who are also responsible for Miley Cyrus’ “Love Money Party” [RCA Records] and Kelly Rowland’s “Kisses Down Low” [Republic Records].

“Point of No Return” serves as the follow-up to 2010’s “Woman to Woman,” which peaked at number ten on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and featured hit singles including “Enough of No Love” and “I Choose You.”

Other musicians backing Cole on “Point of No Return” are Amadeus (Trey Songz, Jennifer Lopez), Symbolyc One (Madonna, Kanye West), DJ Mustard (Rihanna, Charli XCX) and Stargate (Usher, Chris Brown).

The R&B artist christened “Let Me Know” – featuring Future – as the first promotional cut from her upcoming fourth studio album.

The still-untitled LP – which features productions and songwriting contributions from LaShawn “Big Shiz” Daniels, Makeba Riddick and Symbolyc One – is expected to be released later this year via Streamline / Epic Records.

Tamar’s last album, “Winter Loversland,” peaked at number 11 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and featured hit single “She Can Have You.”

The R&B singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “N. L. U” to her official Vevo page on Friday (October 3, 2014).

“N. L. U” – featuring 2 Chainz – was co-written by Elijah Blake, who previously teamed up with Cole on singles “Enough of No Love” and “I Choose You.”

Production duties on “N. L. U” were handled by Symbolyc One and M-Phazes, who collectively worked with artists including Madonna [Interscope Records], Eminem [Shady Records] and Kimbra [Warner Bros. Records].

As previously reported, Cole’s next studio collection “Point of No Return” is scheduled to hit stores on October 7 via Interscope Records.
