Olivia Dean releases new single “Crosswords”

British singer/songwriter Olivia Dean has released her new single online.

“Crosswords”  is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Francis “Eg” White, whose recent credits include Celine Dion’s “I Will Be Stronger,” Izzy Bizu’s “This is What We Wanted,” Jasmine Thompson’s “Some People,” Ben Platt’s “Hurt Me Once,” Nao’s “A Life Like This,” Ray Blk’s “Got My Own,” and Maverick Sabre’s “Into Hope.”

Production duties on “Crosswords” were collectively handled by White alongside Felix Joseph, who is also responsible for Mahalia’s “Simmer,” Jorja Smith’s “Wandering Romance,” Elli Ingram’s “Table for Two,” Kwabs’ “Perfect Ruin,” Birdy’s “Take My Heart,” Kevin Garrett’s “Stranglehold.”

Dean’s upcoming project – which reportedly features additional contributions from Jimmy Napes, Anton Goransson, Isabella Sjostrand, Max Wolfgang, Emily Burns, Aston Rudi, Ed Thomas, Marlon Roudette, Fred Cox, Laura Welsh, and Alan Sampson – is expected to arrive later this year via AMF Records.

Awa premieres music video for new single “Like I Do”

Awa has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The Swedish singer/songwriter (born Awa Santesson-Sey) posted the visual clip for “Like I Do” to her Vevo channel on Monday (02 December 2019).

Production duties on “Like I Do” were collectively handled by Aston Rudi (Tamera Foster, Ray BLK), Tre Jean-Marie (Sinead Harnett, Little Mix) and Sam Tsang (Ed Sheeran, Maisie Peters).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Awa is currently working on her upcoming debut project under Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records UK.

The still-untitled collection reportedly features additional contributions from Future Cut, Laura Welsh, Fred Cox, Negin Djafari, Luke Fitton, Joi Wynn, Kasper Larsen, Angela Beyince, Levi Lennox, Erika Nuri, Steve Booker, Autumn Rowe, Diztortion, Lauren Aquilina, and Eyelar Mirzazadeh.

Awa hits the studio with Laura Welsh, Future Cut for new collaboration

Swedish singer/songwriter Awa Santesson-Sey, known mononymously as Awa, has teamed up with Laura Welsh and Future Cut for a new collaboration.

Welsh’s debut studio collection “Soft Control” was released in 2015 via Outsiders Recorded Music Limited / Polydor Records. That collection features singles “Cold Front” and “Break the Fall,” as well as productions from Dev Hynes, Emile Haynie, Joel Compass, Robin Hannibal, and Greg Kurstin.

Meanwhile, Future Cut’s production resume boasts works with Lily Allen (“Smile”),  Stooshe (“Black Heart”), Olly Murs (“Please Don’t Let Me Go”), Little Mix (“How Ya Doin”), Shakira (“Gypsy”), Laura Izibor (“Shine”), Melanie Fiona (“Ayo”), Ella Eyre (“Together”) and Mae Muller (“Leave It Out”).

Awa’s current promotional single “Comfortable” – which was produced by Aaron “Alias” Kleinstub and co-written by Justin Chaisson Smith – is now available via Apple Music and all other digital streaming outlets.

Laura Welsh drafts Fiona Bevan for new song “Sex & Violence”

Laura Welsh has debuted a new song online.

The British singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Sex & Violence” to her SoundCloud channel on Wednesday (October 21, 2015).

Welsh co-wrote “Sex & Violence” with fellow UK artist Fiona Bevan, whose resume includes further works with Ed Sheeran [Atlantic], One Direction [Columbia], Ben Haenow [Syco] and 5 Seconds of Summer [Capitol].

The track is also slotted for inclusion on Welsh’s upcoming sophomore album, which will be released next year through Polydor Records.

Welsh previously provided vocals on “Here for You” by Gorgon City. The MNEK-assisted track peaked to number seven on the UK Singles Chart.

Her first studio collection “Soft Control” – featuring singles “Cold Front,” “Break the Fall” and “Ghosts” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Amanda Ghost’s label Outsiders Recorded Music Limited.

Laura Welsh writes new music with Fiona Bevan

Laura Welsh has written new music with Fiona Bevan.

“Back in the studio with Fiona Bevan,” the British singer/songwriter posted to her official Instagram account on Tuesday (July 28, 2015).

Bevan is a multi-platinum selling British singer/songwriter from Suffolk, who lives in Hackney, London. She is known for penning One Direction’s “Little Things” along with Ed Sheeran, which topped the UK Singles Chart.

Furthermore, she co-wrote “Voodoo Doll” for Australian band 5 Seconds Of Summer along with record producer and songwriter Adam Argyle. The track appears on 5S0S’ self-titled debut album under Capitol Records.

Meanwhile, Welsh is reportedly working on her yet-to-be-titled second studio collection with Outsiders Recorded Music and Polydor Records.

Her debut album “Soft Control” spawned singles including “Break the Fall,” “Cold Front” and the Greg Kurstin-produced “Ghosts.”

“Soft Control” also delivered contributions from Amanda Ghost (Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez), Liam Howe (FKA twigs, Lana Del Rey), Emile Haynie (Bruno Mars, Nate Ruess) and Joel Compass (Lion Babe, Nicola Roberts).

Laura Welsh has recorded new music with Jake Gosling.

“Music making with Mr. @JakeGosling” the British singer/songwriter posted to her official Instagram account on Friday (July 10, 2015).

Gosling is known for producing Ed Sheeran’s hit singles “The A Team,” “You Need Me, I Don’t Need You,” “Lego House” and “Thinking Out Loud.”

His extensive resume includes additional works for Paloma Faith (“Picking Up the Pieces”), One Direction (“Little Things”), James Bay (“Incomplete”), Christina Perri (“Be My Forever”) and Hilary Duff (“Tattoo”).

Meanwhile, Welsh’s debut album “Soft Control” – featuring singles “Break the Fall,” “Cold Front” and “Ghosts” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Outsiders Recorded Music and Polydor Records.

Laura Welsh has unveiled a new song online.

The British singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Undiscovered” to her official Vevo page on Tuesday (February 10, 2015).

“Undiscovered” was written by Welsh along with Amanda Ghost (Shakira, Jennifer Lopez), Devonte “Blood Orange” Hynes (Sky Ferreira, FKA twigs) and John Legend (Keyshia Cole, Stacy Barthe).

The track appears on the original motion picture soundtrack, “Fifty Shades of Grey,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Universal Music Group imprint Republic Records.

The star-studded collection boasts further guest appearances from Beyonce [Columbia Records], Sia [RCA Records], Ellie Goulding [Polydor Records], Jessie Ware [Island Records] and The Weeknd [Republic Records].

Meanwhile, Welsh’s debut album “Soft Control” is scheduled for release in the UK on March 9 under Outsiders Recorded Music and Polydor Records.

Chris Loco hints at new collaboration with Kwabs

Chris Loco has hinted at a new collaboration with Kwabs.

The British hitmaker – born Christopher Crowhurst – previously co-wrote and produced “Into You” for Kwabs. The track appears on the artist’s EP “Pray for Love,” now available for download via iTunes.

Some of his other notable credits are “Feels Like” by Etta Bond [Disturbing London], “Easier in Bed” by Emeli Sande [Capitol Records] and “Lullaby” by Professor Green featuring Tori Kelly [Virgin Records].

Loco also contributed to the next projects by Raleigh Ritchie [Columbia Records], Laura Welsh [Polydor Records], Becky Hill [Parlophone Records], Melissa Steel [Atlantic Records] and Ella Eyre [Virgin EMI Records].

Meanwhile, Kwabs is currently recording his upcoming debut album under Atlantic Records. The Warner Music Group imprint also represents artists including Bruno Mars, Janelle Monae, Trey Songz, and Charli XCX.

For the still-untitled LP, Kwabs reportedly teamed with TMS (Olly Murs, Leona Lewis), Al Shux (Alicia Keys, Elle Varner), Fraser T. Smith (Javeon, Bipolar Sunshine) and MNEK (Madonna, Kylie Minogue).
