Lauren Jauregui liberates debut solo single “Expectations”

Lauren Jauregui has liberated her debut solo single online.

“Expectations” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was produced by Kid Harpoon, who is also responsible for Jessie Ware’s “Wildest Moments,” Shakira’s “Can’t Remember to Forget You,” Harry Styles’ “Sweet Creature,” and Florence + the Machine’s “What Kind of Man.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Jauregui is currently working on her upcoming project under Syco Music / Columbia Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly yields further contributions from The Rascals (Justine Skye, Ariana Grande), Nija Charles (Normani, The Carters), Rami Yacoub (Britney Spears, Demi Lovato), Kurtis “K9” McKenzie (Sabrina Claudio, Little Mix) and Rob Knox (Ciara, Justin Timberlake).

Lauren Jauregui has recorded new music with Rami Yacoub and Rob Knox.

Yacoub’s recent songwriting and production credits include Charlie Puth’s “Slow it Down,” 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Empty Wallets,” DNCE’s “Body Moves,” Carly Rae Jepsen’s “First Time,” and Madonna’s “Devil Prey.”

Meanwhile, Knox is reponsible for co-writing and producing Justin Timberlake’s “Morning Light,” Luke James’ “These Arms,” Rihanna’s “Cold Case Love,” Britney Spears’ “Mannequin,” and Chris Brown’s “Help Me.”

Having signed a solo record deal with Sony Music imprint Columbia Records, Jauregui’s upcoming debut album reportedly yields further contributions from Nija Charles and Kurtis “K9” McKenzie.

Fifth Harmony drafts Happy Perez for new album

American pop quartet Fifth Harmony – composed of Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, Ally Brooke and Lauren Jauregui – has drafted Nathan Perez, professionally known as Happy Perez, for their third album.

Perez’s notable production credits include Halsey’s “Now or Never,” Machine Gun Kelly’s “At My Best,” Daley’s “Love Somebody,” Ella Henderson’s “The Last Time,” Frank Ocean’s “We All Try,” K. Michelle’s “Pay My Bills,” Mariah Carey’s “#Beautiful,” and Baby Bash’s “Suga Suga.”

Fans of his production works should also keep an eye on the next projects by Chloe x Halle [Parkwood / Columbia Records], Tamera Foster [Syco Music], Demi Lovato [Safehouse / Island / Republic / Hollywood Records], Miguel [RCA Records] and Tory Lanez [Mad Love / Interscope Records].

Meanwhile, Fifth Harmony are scheduled to release the follow-up to 2016’s “7/27” later this year via Syco Music and Epic Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers further productions from Digital Farm Animals (Liam Payne), Fredro (Alessia Cara), Jason Evigan (Bebe Rexha), Shama “Sak Pase” Joseph (Jennifer Lopez), Vincent Berry (Beyonce), Gian Stone (Nick Jonas) and The Monsters & Strangerz (Zara Larsson).

Fifth Harmony have premiered a new music video online.

The pop quintet – composed of members Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, Camila Cabello and Dinah Jane –posted the visual clip for “Write on Me” to their Vevo channel on Friday (May 06, 2016).

“Write on Me” – now available for download via iTunes – was co-written by Priscilla Renea Hamilton (David Guetta, Selena Gomez) and Simon Wilcox (Britney Spears, Nick Jonas).

Production duties were collectively handled by Mikkel Storleer Eriksen and Tor Erik Hermansen of Stargate (Gwen Stefani, Kylie Minogue) and Kygo (Ella Henderson, Conrad Sewell).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Fifth Harmony will release their second studio collection “7/27” – featuring lead single “Work from Home” – on May 27 via Syco Music in partnership with Epic Records.

The keenly awaited project serves as the follow-up to 2015’s “Reflection,” which peaked to number five on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned three singles in the shape of “Worth It,” “Sledgehammer” and “Bo$$.”

Other musicians backing Fifth Harmony on “7/27” are Jack Antonoff, Tinashe, Lukas Loules, Julia Michaels, Alexander Kronlund, Taylor Parks, Max Martin, Shellback, Tommy Brown, Victoria Monet, JHart, Negin Djafari, Aaron Pearce, Jude Demorest, Ammo, Brian Lee, Dallas K, Eskeerdo, and Jared Cotter.

Fifth Harmony have revealed the tracklisting for their upcoming second album.

The pop quintet – composed of members Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, Camila Cabello and Dinah Jane – will release “7/27” on May 27 via Simon Cowell’s Sony imprint Syco Music and Epic Records.

Lead single “Work from Home” – now available for download via iTunes – was written by Jude Demorest along with Brian Lee, Alexander “Eskeerdo” Izquierdo and Joshua “Ammo” Coleman.

Other album songwriters include Negin Djafari (Astrid S), Victoria Monet (Ariana Grande), Taylor Parks (Zendaya), Jared Cotter (Jay Sean), Alexander Kronlund (Ella Eyre), JHart (K. Michelle), and Clarence Coffee Jr. (Snoh Aalegra).

On the production front, Fifth Harmony have teamed up with Stargate (Charlie Puth), Dallas K (Pixie Lott), Lukas Loules (Tinashe), Aaron Pearce (Celine Dion) and The Monsters & the Strangerz (Meghan Trainor).

Fifth Harmony have enlisted the production and songwriting services of Max Martin and Jason Evigan for their upcoming sophomore album.

Recent credits by Martin include Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” [Big Machine], Tori Kelly’s “Nobody Love” [Capitol], The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” [Republic] and Robin Thicke’s “Back Together” [Interscope].

Fans of his work should also look out for the next releases by Adele [Columbia], Tinashe [RCA], Hailee Steinfeld [Republic], Selena Gomez [Interscope], Ellie Goulding [Polydor] and Demi Lovato [Hollywood].

Meanwhile, Evigan is responsible for co-writing and producing Zendaya’s “Butterflies” [Hollywood], Jojo’s “When Love Hurts” [Atlantic], Nick Jonas’ “Chains” [Island] and Kelly Clarkson’s “Heartbeat Song” [RCA].

Furthermore, he produced and co-wrote two songs on Fifth Harmony’s debut mini-collection “Better Together” in the shape of “Miss Movin’ On” and “Leave My Heart Out of This.” The EP peaked to number six on the US Albums Chart.

Fifth Harmony have reunited with Mitch Allan for their sophomore album.

Allan previously produced and co-wrote “Miss Movin’ On” for Fifth Harmony along with Lindy Robbins, Julia Michaels and Jason Evigan.

His other credits include Bea Miller (“Perfect Picture”), Zendaya (“Bottle You Up”), Kat Graham (“Power”), Kelly Clarkson (“Heartbeat Song”), Jason Derulo (“Want to Want Me”) and Demi Lovato (“Two Pieces”).

Meanwhile, Fifth Harmony – composed of members Camila Cabello, Lauren Jauregui, Normani Hamilton, Ally Hernandez, and Dinah Hansen – are expected to release their second LP in 2016 through Syco Music and Epic Records.

Other songwriters and producers associated with the still-untitled project are Harmony Samuels (Kelly Rowland), Taylor Parks (Ariana Grande), LunchMoney Lewis (Nicki Minaj) and Khristopher Riddick-Tynes (Fleur East).
