Leona Lewis reunites with Autumn Rowe, Jonas Quant for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Leona Lewis has reunited with Autumn Rowe and Jonas Quant for a new collaboration.

Rowe previously co-wrote “Collide” and “Your Hallelujah,” taken from the albums “Glassheart” and “Christmas, with Love,” respectively.

Meanwhile, Quant is responsible for producing Lewis’ rendition of Elton John’s “Your Song.” The track was largely played as part of a travel and tourism advertising push in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.

As mentioned in earlier, Lewis’ next project – featuring further productions and songwriting contributions from Mac & Phil, Aleena Gibson, Jon Maguire, Corey Sanders, Ilsey Juber, Philip Plested, Lauren Aquilina, Walter Afanasieff, Jake Gosling, and Chris Leonard – is expected to arrive later this year.

Her last studio collection, 2015’s “I Am,” was released via Island Records UK and Def Jam Recordings. Executive-produced by German hitmaker Toby Gad, it debuted at number twelve on the UK Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Fire Under My Feet” and “Thunder.”

Leona Lewis teams with Lauren Aquilina, PLESTED, Mac & Phil for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Leona Lewis has teamed up with Lauren Aqulina, PLESTED, and Mac & Phil for a new collaboration.

In addition to releasing her debut album “Isn’t it Strange” in 2016 via Island Records UK, Aqulina has also penned songs on the next releases by Taya, Kara Marni, Ella Henderson, Fleur East, Imani Williams, Liza Owen, Nina Nesbitt, Sarah Close, Tamera Foster, Kylie Minogue, and Etham.

Meanwhile, PLESTED’s current single “Habits” – which was co-written with Kane “KIN” Parfitt and Mac & Phil – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Composed of Matthew Holmes and Philip Leigh, Mac & Phil are also responsible for co-writing and producing Emily Warren’s “Something To Hold On To,” The Chainsmokers’ “Bloodstream,” Emeli Sande’s “Hurts,” Plested’s “Habits,” Carys Selvey’s “Shallow,” and Lost Kings’ “Phone Down.”

On the follow-up to 2015’s “I Am,” which peaked to number twelve on the UK Albums Chart, Lewis has also worked with Walter Afanasieff (Mariah Carey), Autumn Rowe (Kacy Hill), Jake Gosling (Shawn Mendes), Isley Juber (Jessica Simpson), Chris Leonard (Shania Twain) and Ali Tamposi (Justin Bieber).

Leona Lewis reunites with Walter Afanasieff for new collaboration

Leona Lewis has reunited with Walter Afanasieff for a new collaboration.

“Singing with Walter A is like a dream come true, the most incredible pianist/composer/writer/ human!” the British singer, songwriter, and actress tweeted on Tuesday (July 04, 2017).

Afanasieff previously produced and co-wrote “Here I Am” alongside fellow musician Brett James, taken from Lewis’ debut studio collection, 2007’s “Spirit,” which topped both the UK and US Albums Chart.

The Grammy Award-winning record producer’s extensive resume boasts additional works with Mariah Carey (“Hero”), Celine Dion (“My Heart Will Go On”), Luther Vandross (“Endless Love”), Beyonce (“My Heart Still Beats”), Darren Hayes (“Insatiable”), Ricky Martin (“Nobody Wants to Be Lonely”), Allure (“Last Chance”) and Chante Moore (“One More Time”).

Meanwhile, Lewis is expected to release her next project, which serves as the follow-up to 2015’s “I Am,” later this year via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Among the songwriters and producers expected to appear on the still-untitled collection are Jake Gosling (Dido, Ed Sheeran), Autumn Rowe (Kelis, Molly Kate Kestner), Chris Leonard (Nina Nesbitt, Shawn Mendes), Ilsey Juber (Lykke Li, Ellie Goulding) and Ali Tamposi (Selena Gomez, Troye Sivan).

Leona Lewis has teamed up with songwriting and production duo Jake Gosling and Chris Leonard for a new collaboration.

Gosling and Leonard are known for their works with Ed Sheeran (“Lego House”), Shawn Mendes (“Treat You Better”), James Bay (“Incomplete”), Hilary Duff (“Tattoo”), Rebecca Ferguson (“Waiting for Me”), Jake Isaac (“Where We Belong”) and Nina Nesbitt (“18 Candles”).

Fans of their collective songwriting and production works should also keep an eye on the next projects by Rita Ora [Atlantic Records], Ella Henderson [Syco Music] and Shania Twain [Capitol Records Nashville].

Lewis’s last studio collection, 2015’s “I Am,” was entirely produced by Toby Gad and featured additional contributions from Jim Eliot (“Power”), Francis “Eg” White (“I Am”), Jonny Coffer (“The Best and the Worst”), Anne Preven (“Thank You”), Wayne Wilkins (“Ladders”) and TMS (“Another Love Song”).

Leona Lewis has shared the music video for her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Thunder” to her Vevo channel on Thursday (August 13, 2015).

Lewis co-wrote “Thunder” with regular collaborator Toby Gad, whose other credits include John Legend (“All of Me”), Madonna (“Living for Love”), Demi Lovato (“Skyscraper”) and Tori Kelly (“First Heartbreak”).

Video treatment was handled by Sarah McColgan, who is also behind Wale’s “The Matrimony” f/ Usher [Maybach Music], Sabrina Carpenter’s “Eyes Wide Open” [Hollywood] and Mary J. Blige’s “Therapy” [Capitol].

Lewis’ upcoming fifth studio collection “I Am” – featuring previous single “Fire Under My Feet” – will hit stores and digital outlets on September 11 through Island Records (UK) and Def Jam Recordings (US).

Other album contributors include Naughty Boy (Rihanna, Emeli Sande), Wayne Wilkins (Beyonce, Natasha Bedingfield), Francis “Eg” White (Kwabs, Sinead Harnett), Jim Eliot (Foxes, Ellie Goulding) and TMS (Olly Murs, Ella Eyre).

The British singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Thunder” to her Vevo channel on Thursday (July 16, 2015).

“Thunder” was co-written and produced by Toby Gad, whose other credits include Demi Lovato (“Skyscraper”), Selena Gomez (“Nobody Does it Like You”), Fergie (“Big Girls Don’t Cry”) and Beyonce (“If I Were a Boy”).

Lewis’ fifth studio collection “I Am” – featuring lead single “Fire Under My Feet” – will hit stores and digital outlets on September 11 through Island Records (UK) and Def Jam Recordings (US).

The British singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “I Am” to her Vevo channel on Friday (July 17, 2015).

Lewis co-wrote “I Am” – now available via iTunes – along with Francis “Eg” White (Sam Smith, Celine Dion) and Toby Gad (John Legend, Alicia Keys).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Lewis’ fifth album “I Am” will hit stores on September 11 through Island Records (UK) and Def Jam Recordings (US).

The highly-anticipated project features additional alliances with Jim Eliot (Foxes, Kylie Minogue), Diane Warren (Beyonce, Toni Braxton), Wayne Wilkins (Cheryl, Keri Hilson) and Anne Preven (Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato).
