Jojo enlists Isabella Kearney-Nurse, Warren “Oak” Felder for new collaboration

American singer/songwriter Joanna Levesque, known mononymously as Jojo, has enlisted Isabella Kearney-Nurse and Warren “Oak” Felder for a new collaboration.

Besides co-writing songs on Jessica Mauboy’s upcoming album alongside Louis Schoorl, Kearney-Nurse is responsible for co-writing The Veronicas’ “Think of Me,” Matt Gresham’s “Who Am I Now” and Mitch James’s “Can’t Help Myself.”

Meanwhile, Felder’s production resume boasts works with Demi Lovato (“Sorry Not Sorry”), Chris Brown (“Superhuman”), Kehlani (“Distraction”), Miguel (“Use Me”), Toni Braxton (“Hands Tied”), Usher (“Good Kisser”), Britney Spears (“Clumsy”) and Alessia Cara (“Scars to Your Beautiful”).

In addition to contributing to Louise’s upcoming album, “Heavy Love,” Jojo is expected to release her fourth studio collection later this year via her own imprint Clover Music in partnership with Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers additional productions and songwriting alliances with Jermaine Dupri, Natt Dunn, Bryan Michael Cox, Diana Gordon, Billy Steinberg, Caroline Ailin, D’Mile, Chloe Angelides, Iain James, Steph Jones, Chris Loco, Kennedi, Digital Farm Animals, Skyler Stonestreet, Big Taste, Myah Marie, Stint, Max Wolfgang.

Yuna drafts Shungudzo, Robin Hannibal for new single “Forevermore”

Malaysian singer/songwriter Yunalis Zara’ai, known mononymously as Yuna, has released her new promotional single online.

“Forevermore” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Alexandra “Shungudzo” Govere, whose other credits include Little Mix’s “Touch,” Alina Baraz’s “I Don’t Even Know Why Though,” Tinashe’s “Eat You Up,” Louisa Johnson’s “Best Behaviour,” Victoria Monet’s “Wish I Never Met You,” and Jessie Ware’s “Your Domino.”

Production duties on “Forevermore” were handled by regular collaborator Robin Hannibal, who is also responsible for Niia’s “California,” Jacob Banks’ “Unknown (To You),” Kacy Hill’s “Am I,” Erik Hassle’s “No Words,” Kimbra’s “Human,” Lion Babe’s “Where Do We Go,” and DNCE’s “TV in the Morning.”

Yuna’s upcoming fourth international studio album – featuring further contributions from Big Taste, Chloe Angelides, Jamie Hartman, and Fiona Bevan – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Verve Records.

Pia Mia teams with RyKeyz for new promotional single “Bitter Love”

Pia Mia has released her new promotional single online.

“Bitter Love” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Bitter Love” were handled by RyKeyz, whose other credits include Wiz Khalifa’s “Got Everything,” Fantasia’s “Man of the House,” Keyshia Cole’s “Signature,” Rak-Su’s “I Want You to Freak,” Little Mix’s “Mr. Lover Boy,” Cody Simpson’s “I’mma Be Cool,” and Arlissa’s “Home to You.”

Mia’s upcoming project – featuring further productions and songwriting contributions from Leroy “Big Taste” Clampitt and Jazelle “JVZEL” Rodriguez – is expected to arrive later this year via Cherry Pie Records.

Liza Owen teams with Olivia Waithe for new collaboration

Liza Owen has teamed up with Olivia Waithe for a new collaboration.

Formerly known as Livvi Franc, Waithe has previously penned songs for Rihanna (“What Now”), Britney Spears (“Trouble for Me”), Demi Lovato (“Two Pieces”), Selena Gomez (“Save the Day”), Leona Lewis (“Shake You Up”), Ciara (“Overdose”) and Kelly Clarkson (“The War is Over”).

Under her former management team Kerrie Thomas-Armstrong and Allison Hunte, Waithe signed a recording contract with now-defunct Jive Records and worked with top producers for her debut album “Underground Sunshine” including Future Cut (“Hummingbird”), Greg Kurstin (“She Loves Love”), RedOne (“Automatic”) and Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem (“My Window”).

Meanwhile, Owen’s current promotional single “Room Full of Boxes” – which was co-written by Sean Myer alongside London Jackson and Jacob Ames of X Lovers – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Besides regular collaborators Andrew Haas and Ian Franzino of AfterHrs, Owen has also been in the studio with Banx & Ranx, Chloe Angelides, Teddy Geiger, Emily Weisband, Jesse Saint John, Shungudzo, Big Taste, Steph Jones, Danny Parker, Tayla Parx, Steve Mac, and The Monsters & Strangerz.

American singer/songwriter Joanna Levesque, known mononymously as Jojo, has teamed up with Max Wolfgang and Stint for a new collaboration.

Among the artists Max Wolfgang has previously penned songs for are Kygo (“Never Let You Go”), Zayn Malik (“Back to Life”), Paloma Faith (“Loyal”), Kylie Minogue (“Your Body”), Chelcee Grimes (“Just Like That”), Jackson Penn (“Streetlights on Mars”) and Rudimental (“Lay It All On Me”).

Meanwhile, Stint (born Ajay Bhattacharyya) is responsible for producing Alina Baraz’s “Feels Right,” Nao’s “Drive and Disconnect,” Jessie Ware’s “Alone,” Sabrina Claudio’s “Unravel Me,” Demi Lovato’s “Tell Me You Love Me,” AlunaGeorge’s “Jealous,” and Zara Larsson’s “Make That Money Girl.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Jojo is expected to release her fourth studio collection and follow-up to 2016’s “Mad Love” later this year via her own imprint Clover Music in partnership with Interscope Records.

Marina confirms details for fourth album “Love + Fear”

Marina has confirmed the details for her upcoming album.

The Welsh singer/songwriter, formerly known as Marina and the Diamonds, has christened her fourth studio collection “Love + Fear” and will release it on April 26 via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

Lead promotional single “Handmade Heaven” – which was produced by New Zealand hitmaker Joel Little – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The highly-anticipated project delivers further productions and songwriting contributions from Captain Cuts, Noah Breakfast, James Flannigan, Alex Hope, Jason Evigan, Sarah Hudson, Joe Janiak, Big Taste, and Jesse St. John.

Welsh singer/songwriter Marina Diamandis, known mononymously as Marina, has unleashed her new promotional single online.

“Handmade Heaven” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was produced by Joel Little, who is also responsible for Lorde’s “Royals,” Imagine Dragons’ “Whatever it Takes,” Shawn Mendes’s “Youth,” Ruth B’s “If This is Love,” Daya’s “Safe,” Kesha’s “This is Me,” Bebe Rexha’s “The Way I Are,” Lennon Stella’s “La Di Da,” and Khaled’s “Young, Dumb & Broke.”

Marina’s upcoming fourth studio collection, which serves as the follow-up to 2015’s “Froot,” is expected to arrive later this year via Atlantic Records UK.
