Arlissa taps James “Malay” Ho for new collaboration

American-German singer/songwriter Arlissa Ruppert, known mononymously as Arlissa, has tapped Malay for a new collaboration.

The Grammy award-winning record producer and songwriter (born James Ho) has previously worked with Sam Smith (“Midnight Train”), Frank Ocean (“Nikes”), Zayn Malik (“It’s You”), Alessia Cara (“Wild Things”), Tori Kelly (“Talk”), Alicia Keys (“One Thing”) and John Legend (“Green Light”).

Fans of Malay’s songwriting and production works should also keep an eye on the next releases by Jazmine Sullivan, Zhavia Ward, Fletcher, Lennon Stella, Kai, Ingrid Andress, and RuthAnne.

Meanwhile, Arlissa’s current single “We Won’t Move” – which was co-written by Jessica “Harloe” Karpov and produced by Kevin White and Mike Woods of Rice N Peas – appears on the original motion picture soundtrack, “The Hate U Give.”

Her upcoming debut project under Def Jam Recordings reportedly yields further contributions from Jesse Shatkin, RyKeyz, Geoffrey Warburton, Martin Sjolie, Sam Fischer, Lostboy, Andre Harris, Martin Terefe, Jonny Hockings, T-Collar, Pip Kembo, Stint, Kameron Grae, and Wrabel.

Mae Muller delivers new promotional singles “Leave it Out” and “Flaws”

Mae Muller has delivered two new promotional singles online.

“Leave it Out” (co-written by Danny Shah) and “Flaws” (co-written by Elizabeth “Lowell” Boland) are now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on both singles were handled by Darren Lewis and Tunde Babalola of Future Cut, who are also responsible for singles including “Smile” (Lily Allen), “Black Heart” (Stooshe), “Please Don’t Let Me Go” (Olly Murs), “Gypsy” (Shakira), and “How Ya Doing?” (Little Mix).

Meanwhile, Muller is expected to release her upcoming project and follow-up to 2018’s “Frankly” later this year via Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly yields further contributions from Invisible Men, Ed Thomas, Jimmy Napes, Bastian Langebaek, Caroline Ailin, Lostboy, Jin Jin, Max Wolfgang, Eyelar Mirzazadeh, Joe Rubel, Marlon Roudette, and Two Inch Punch.

Louise signs new record deal with Warner Music UK

British singer/songwriter Louise Redknapp, known mononymously as Louise, has signed a new record deal with Warner Music UK.

“So it’s now official…25 years ago I signed my first solo deal with Parlophone, and I am so excited to be continuing my journey with the Warner Music family. I cant wait for everyone to hear this new album,” she posted to Instagram.

For her upcoming fourth album, Louise has worked with songwriters Maiday, Danny Shah, Negin Djafari, Andrew Jackson, Rachel Furner, Iain James, Jaxxon, Bryn Christopher, Carla Monroe, Jacob Attwooll, Grace Tither, Adam Argyle, Sinead Harnett, Nick Tsang, Katy B, Sam Klempner, and Dyo.

Among the producers expected to appear on the follow-up to 2000’s “Elbow Beach” are Sky Adams, Jim Duguid, Michael Angelo, Ollie Green, Lostboy, Phil Cook, Jez Ashurst, LDN Noise, Bradford Ellis, and Jonny Hockings.

Louise’s singles “Light of My Life,” “In Walked Love” and “Naked” – which were initially released in 1995 and 1996, respectively – are now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Arlissa has recruited the songwriting and production services of Wrabel and Stint for her upcoming project under Def Jam Recordings.

Besides co-writing and providing guest vocals on Afrojack’s international hit single “Ten Feet Tall,” Wrabel has also penned songs for Ellie Goulding (“Devotion”), Kesha (“Woman”), Galantis (“True Feeling”), Kygo (“With You”) and Backstreet Boys (“Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”).

Meanwhile, Stint (born Ajay Bhattacharyya) is responsible for helming Alina Baraz’s “Feels Right,” Nao’s “Drive and Disconnect,” Jessie Ware’s “Alone,” Sabrina Claudio’s “Unravel Me,” Demi Lovato’s “Tell Me You Love Me,” AlunaGeorge’s “Jealous,” and Zara Larsson’s “Make That Money Girl.”

Nina Nesbitt releases sophomore album “The Sun Will Come Up, the Seasons Will Change”

Scottish singer/songwriter Nina Nesbitt has released her sophomore studio collection and follow-up to 2014’s “Peroxide” online.

“The Sun Will Come Up, the Seasons Will Change” – featuring singles “The Moments I’m Missing,” “The Best You Had,” “Somebody Special,” “Loyal to Me” and “Colder” – is now available via all digital streaming outlets.

The highly-anticipated project also boasts contributions from Fraser T. Smith, Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett, Bre Kennedy, Dan McKulla, Peter “Lostboy” Rycroft, Thomas “Gemini” Slinger, Jordan Riley, Samuel Preston, and Red Triangle.

As a songwriter, Nesbitt co-wrote “Slow Me Down” for Jessie Ware alongside Fred Ball and Samuel Preston, as well as “Phoenix” for Olivia Holt alongside Steve Mac and Ammar Malik.

Arlissa has tapped the songwriting and production services of Maureen “MoZella” McDonald and Jesse Shatkin for her upcoming debut album.

MoZella’s songwriting resume boasts works with Miley Cyrus (“Wrecking Ball”), Charlie Puth (“One Call Away”), Rihanna (“Dancing in the Dark”), Ellie Goulding (“Don’t Panic”), Madonna (“Living for Love”), Rachel Platten (“Speechless”), Tinashe (“Feels Like Vegas”) and Miranda Lambert (“Secrets”).

Besides working with MoZella on songs performed by Kelly Clarkson (“Love So Soft”) and One Direction (“Perfect”); Shatkin is also responsible for co-writing/producing Sia’s “Chandelier,” Rihanna’s “Sledgehammer,” Camila Cabello’s “I Have Questions,” Foxes’ “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now,” Paloma Faith’s “Till I’m Done,” and Charlie Puth’s “Up All Night.”

Meanwhile, Arlissa’s upcoming debut album is expected to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Def Jam Recordings.
