Alicia Keys drafts Arrow Benjamin for new collaboration

American singer, songwriter, and record producer Alicia Keys has drafted fellow recording artist Arrow Benjamin for a new collaboration.

Signed to Universal Music Group / Virgin EMI Records, Benjamin’s songwriting resume boasts works with Beyonce (“Freedom”), Naughty Boy (“Runnin'”), James Arthur (“Kryptonite”) and Sigrid (“Working Alone”).

His promotional singles “Love and Hate” (co-written with Iain Archer and Steve McEwan) and “Look at Me” (co-written with Shazelle Gobin and Alan Nglish) are now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Meanwhile, Keys is expected to release her next project and follow-up 2016’s “Here” later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly delivers additional productions and songwriting contributions from Fred Ball (Rihanna), Emile Haynie (Lana Del Rey), DaHeala (The Weeknd), Foy Vance (Rag’n’Bone Man), Andrew Wyatt (Kacy Hill), Kaytranada (Craig David) and Swizz Beatz (Mary J. Blige).

Lauren Faith releases new promotional single “Rush”

British singer/songwriter Lauren Faith has released her new single online.

“Rush” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by Lauren Faith alongside Zena Kitt (Lilly Ahlberg, Karen Harding) and Luke Fitton (Kylie Minogue, Liza Owen).

Faith’s upcoming debut album – featuring previous promotional single “Let Them Talk” – is expected to arrive later this year via JEM Records.

The still-untitled collection boasts additional alliances with Kaytranada (Alicia Keys), Jim Duguid (Paolo Nutini), LOSTBOY (Becky Hill), Fraser T. Smith (Jess Glynne) and Knightstarr (Mali-Koa).

On the songwriting front, Faith has worked with Dutch record producer Diztortion for Craig David’s upcoming seventh album. She previously co-wrote “Got it Good” and “Sink or Swim” alongside Tre Jean-Marie. The Kaytranada-produced tracks appear on David’s 2016 album “Following My Intuition.”

Notable songwriting and production credits by Fred Ball include Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain,” Zara Larsson’s “One Mississipi,” All Saints’ “Summer Rain,” Una Sand’s “Seventeen,” Nina Nesbitt’s “Take You to Heaven,” Petite Meller’s “America,” Little Mix’s “See Me Now,” Sophie Ellis Bextor’s “Synchronized,” Astrid S’s “Does She Know,” and Betsy’s “Time.”

He has also contributed to the next projects by Alma, Pixie Lott, Wens, Kevin Garrett, Raye, Tamera Foster, Saya, Ella Henderson, Jessie Ware, Maad, Joy Crookes, Arlissa, Emeli Sande, Dagny, Fanny Anderson, Taya, Grace Carter, Era Istrefi, L Devine, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tinashe, and Paloma Faith.

The Northern-Irish singer/songwriter’s resume boasts previous works with Plan B (“In the Name of Man”), Rag’n’Bone Man (“Odetta”), Ed Sheeran (“Nancy Mulligan”), Rudimental (“Never Let You Go”), Miranda Lambert (“Pushing Time”) and Sawyer Fredericks (“Bittersweet”).

Vance’s latest studio collection “The Wild Swan,” which was executive-produced by Elton John and released via Ed Sheeran’s label Gingerbread Man Records, is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Meanwhile, Keys is expected to release her next project and follow-up 2016’s “Here” later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

Raphael Saadiq graces new album by Chromeo

Chromeo have teased a new collaboration with Raphael Saadiq.

“The god @raphael_saadiq laced us too. People don’t even know how incredible of a bass player he is. We got a bunch some of our idols on this album,” the Canadian electro-funk duo posted on Instagram on Saturday (June 17, 2017).

Saadiq’s recent songwriting and production credits include Solange’s “Cranes in the Sky,” Usher’s “Champions,” Andra Day’s “Cheers to the Fall,” Miguel’s “Flesh,” and Adrian Marcel’s “Eyes Don’t Lie.”

His extensive resume boasts additional works with Joss Stone (“Tell Me ‘Bout It”), D’Angelo (“Lady”), TLC (“So So Dumb”), Kelis (“80s Joint”), Mary J. Blige (“Color”), Kelly Price (“So Sweet”), Teedra Moses (“Take Me”), Alicia Keys (“Lesson Learned”) and Whitney Houston (“Fine”).

Meanwhile, Chromeo – consisting of David “Dave 1” Macklovitch and Patrick “P-Thugg” Gemayel – are expected to drop their new album later this year via Last Gang Records / Big Beat Records / Atlantic Records.

Carly Rae Jepsen has liberated her new promotional single online.

“Cut to the Feeling” – which is taken from the motion picture soundtrack to the upcoming film “Leap!” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Originally intended for Jepsen’s 2015 album “E.MO.TION,” the track was co-written by Simon Wilcox and Nolan “Sir Nolan” Lambroza, who are also behind Tinashe’s “Flame,” Nick Jonas’ “Jealous,” DNCE’s “Unsweet,” Fifth Harmony’s “Squeeze,” and Demi Lovato’s “Body Talk.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Jepsen is expected to release her next studio collection later this year via School Boy Records and Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts songwriting contributions from Noonie Bao (Dua Lipa), Nate Campany (Tori Kelly), Phoebe Ryan (Britney Spears), Evan “Kidd” Bogart (Jess Glynne), Amanda “MNDR” Warner (AlunaGeorge), Tobias Jesso Jr. (Sam Smith), Charli XCX (Blondie), Justin Tranter (Betty Who) and Maureen “MoZella” McDonald (Tinashe).
