Mali-Koa enlists Bantu for new collaboration

Australian singer-songwriter Mali-Koa Hood, known monoymously as Mali-Koa, has reportedly enlisted Bantu for a new collaboration.

The Zimbabwean record producer (born Tinashe Sibanda) is known for his works with Jason Derulo (“Tip Toe”), K. Michelle (“Make the Bed”), Fifth Harmony (“Them Girls Be Like”), Rita Ora (“Body on Me”), Sabina Ddumba (“Not Too Young”), Tove Styrke (“Say My Name”), Keshia Chante (“Lights Out”), Maroon 5 (“Whiskey”) and Zara Larsson (“Permission”).

His extensive resume boasts additional works with songwriters including Lindy Robbins, Meagan Cottone, JHart, Lisa Scinta, Tayla Parx, Iain James, Chelcee Grimes, Ali Tamposi, Nate Campany, Emily Warren, Stephenie Jones, Eskeerdo, Noonie Bao, Sasha Sloan, Teddy Geiger, Julia Michaels, Carmen Reece, Wayne Hector, Victoria Monet, Brittany Burton, and Jacob Kasher Hindlin.

Bantu’s debut mini-album “Africa for the Summer” – featuring guest appearances from Shungudzo Kuyimba, Elliphant, and Rosina “Soaky Siren” Russell – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Meanwhile, Mali-Koa is expected to release her upcoming project – featuring the Philip Plested-penned / Joe Garret-produced lead single “Honest” – some time next year via Honest Records.

Other songwriters and producers Mali-Koa has collaborated with are Goldfingers, Louis Mattrs, Nat Dunn, Daniel “Grades” Traynor, Lauren Aquilina, Kane “KIN” Parfitt, Hannah Wilson, Maestro the Baker, Nina Nesbitt, Knightstarr, Dominique Vellutato, Eddy Atlantis, and Mac & Phil.

Mali-Koa liberates debut promotional single “Honest”

Australian singer/songwriter Mali-Koa Hood, known mononymously as Mali-Koa, has liberated her debut promotional single online.

“Honest” – which was written by Mali-Koa alongside Philip Plested and Joe Garrett – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

As a songwriter, Mali-Koa has co-penned “The Beautiful & Damned” for G-Eazy alongside Zoe Nash, Georgia Sinclair, and Madison Wolf. The track appears on the American rapper’s fourth studio album of the same name, which is out now via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

She also provided guest vocals on H Block Ink’s “Numbers Game,” which was co-written with Farrah “Nefera” Guenena, Amish “ADP” Patel, and Linus Nordstrom of Swedish production duo Goldfingers.

Mali-Koa’s upcoming debut project, on the other hand, reportedly boasts alliances with Louis Mattrs, Nat Dunn, Daniel “Grades” Traynor, Lauren Aquilina, Kane “KIN” Parfitt, Hannah Wilson, Maestro the Baker, Nina Nesbitt, Knightstarr, Dominique Vellutato, Eddy Atlantis, and Mac & Phil.

Sinead Harnett releases new mixtape “Chapter One”

British singer/songwriter Sinead Harnett has released her new mixtape online.

“Chapter One” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The highly-anticipated collection boasts songwriting contributions from fellow recording artists including Marlon Roudette (“Unconditional”), Katy B (“Heal You”), Ed Thomas (“So Solo”) and Louis Mattrs (“Ally”).

On the production front, Harnett has teamed up with Daniel “GRADES” Traynor (Jess Glynne, Ella Henderson), Christian “Crada” Kalla (Emeli Sande, Jordin Sparks) and Louis “Kaytranada” Celestin (Craig David, Kali Uchis).

Louis Mattrs liberates new single “Bow Down”

Louis Mattrs has liberated his new single online.

“Bow Down” is now available for download via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Mattrs – real name Louis Collard-Watson – alongside Alistair Tennant (Jessie J, Craig David), Bradford Ellis (Anne-Marie, Karen Harding) and Noah Breakfast (Becky Hill, Ellie Goulding).

Production duties on “Bow Down” were handled by Two Inch Punch, who also worked with Zac Samuel (“Never Letting Go”), Rag’n’Bone Man (“Human”), Years & Years (“Eyes Shut”) and Sam Smith (“Money on My Mind”).

Mattrs’ upcoming first studio collection is expected to arrive next year via Sony Music Entertainment UK.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2015’s EP “Slow Waves,” which spawned contributions from Digital Farm Animals (“Superman”), Felix Joseph (“Sweet Innocence”) and Cadenza (“WGW”).
