Tove Lo hits the studio with Fred Ball for new collaboration

Swedish singer/songwriter Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson, known professionally as Tove Lo, has enlisted Roc Nation signee Fred Ball for a new collaboration.

The Roc Nation signee recently produced and co-wrote “Heaven” for American recording artist Justine Skye alongside Charles “Prince Charlez” Hinshaw Jr. The track appears on Skye’s debut album, “Ultraviolet,” out now via Universal Music Group / Roc Nation Records.

Ball’s resume boasts additional works with Rihanna (“Love on the Brain”), Toni Braxton (“Deadwood”), Jessie Ware (“Slow Me Down”), Zara Larsson (“One Mississippi”), Madison Beer (“Say it to My Face”), Astrid S (“Does She Know”), Nina Nesbitt (“Take You to Heaven”) and All Saints (“Summer Rain”).

Meanwhile, Tove Lo is expected to release her upcoming project later this year via Universal Music Group / Island Records.

Her latest album “Blue Lips (Lady Wood Phase II)” – featuring productions and songwriting contributions from Jack & Coke, Alex Hope, Lukas “Lulou” Loules, Choukri Gustmann, and The Struts – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Tove Lo confirms details for new album “Lady Wood”

Tove Lo has confirmed the details for her sophomore album.

The Swedish singer-songwriter – real name Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson – christened her second studio collection “Lady Wood” and will release it on October 28 via Universal Music Group / Island Records.

Lead single “Cool Girl” – now available for download via iTunes – was written by Tove Lo along with Jakob Jerlström and Ludvig Söderberg.

“Lady Wood” reportedly boasts further contributions from songwriting and production team Captain Cuts, who also worked with the likes of Phoebe Ryan [Columbia], Carly Rae Jepsen [Interscope], and Halsey [Capitol].

Tove Lo’s debut studio collection, 2014’s “Queen of the Clouds,” peaked to number fourteen on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Habits (Stay High),” “Talking Body” and “Moments.”

On the songwriting front, Tove Lo co-penned Ellie Goulding’s “Still Falling for You” along with fellow Swedish musicians Ilya Salmanzadeh, Rickard Goransson, and Johan “Shellback” Schuster.

Her extensive resume boasts further works with Nick Jonas (“Close”), Hilary Duff (“Sparks”), Adam Lambert (“Rumors”), Zara Larsson (“Skippin’ a Beat”), Lea Michele (“Thousand Needles”), and Ella Eyre (“That’s Just Me”).

Tori Kelly has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Should’ve Been Us” to her Vevo channel on Monday (June 22, 2015).

“Should’ve Been Us” – now available for download via iTunes – was written by Tori Kelly along with Laleh Pourkarim, Ludvig Söderberg, Jakob Jerlström, Oscar Holter, Alexander Kronlund, and James Alan.

The track follows previous single “Nobody Love,” which peaked to number sixteen on the US Billboard Mainstream Top 40 Chart.

Kelly’s debut album “Unbreakable Smile” will hit stores and digital outlets on June 23 through Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

The highly-anticipated project is executive-produced by Scooter Braun, whose also overseeing the next releases by Carly Rae Jepsen [Interscope Records], Ariana Grande [Republic Records] and Madison Beer [Island Records].

“Unbreakable Smile” boasts further collaborations with Max Martin (Britney Spears, Katy Perry), Toby Gad (Beyonce, Leona Lewis), Ed Sheeran (Jessie Ware, Hilary Duff) and Ilya Salmanzadeh (Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding).

As mentioned in earlier posts, “Unbreakable Smile” – featuring hit single “Nobody Love” – will hit stores on June 23 via Capitol Records.

Album producers are Max Martin (Kelis, Avril Lavigne), Toby Gad (Beyonce, Alicia Keys), Ilya KnocDown (Prince Royce, Ellie Goulding), Chuck Harmony (Tamia, Janet Jackson) and Malay (Frank Ocean, John Legend).

Victoria Justice has premiered the music video for her new single online.

“Gold” – produced by The Struts along with Peter Thomas and Jay Vice – marks the first promotional single from the pop starlet’s upcoming debut album, out soon via Sony Music Entertainment / Nickelodeon / Columbia Records.

The track was written by Peter Thomas along with Tove Nilsson, Jason Weiss, Sam Shrieve, Ben Camp, Jakob Jerlström and Ludvig Söderberg.
