British-Swedish singer/songwriter Mabel Alabama-Pearl McVey, known mononymously as Mabel, has released her new single online.
“Boyfriend” – which samples Marlena Shaw’s “Woman of the Ghetto” – is now available via Apple Music and all other digital streaming outlets.
The track was co-written by Mabel alongside Camille “Kamille” Purcell and Steven “Steve Mac” McCutcheon, who previously teamed up with the artist on hit singles “Don’t Call Me Up” (UK No. 3) and “Mad Love” (UK No. 8).
Mabel’s debut studio album, 2019’s “High Expectations,” debuted at number three on the UK Albums Chart. She also won the award for Best Female Solo Artist at the 2020 Brit Awards.
