Mariah Carey reunites with Eric Hudson for fifteenth album

Mariah Carey has reunited with Eric Hudson on new material.

“Back in the #studio making #music @ehudmusic,” the singer/songwriter posted to Instagram on Sunday (August 02, 2015).

Hudson previously produced and co-wrote “Infinity” for Carey along with Priscilla Renea Hamilton (Rihanna, Demi Lovato), Ilsey Juber (Jennifer Lopez, Pia Mia) and Taylor Parks (Zendaya, Jason Derulo).

His resume includes additional works for K. Michelle (“Maybe I Should Call”), Trey Songz (“Without a Woman”), Keyshia Cole (“Missing Me”), Marsha Ambrosius (“Shoes”), Mary J. Blige (“Why”) and Omarion (“Entourage”).

Meanwhile, Carey is expected to release her next studio collection later this year through Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

The still-untitled CD serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse,” which debuted at number 3 on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and delivered hit singles “#Beautiful” and “You’re Mine (Eternal).”

Mariah Carey has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer and songwriter posted the Brett Ratner-directed clip for “Infinity” to her Vevo channel on Monday (June 01, 2015).

“Infinity” was co-written by Priscilla Renea (Usher, Alicia Keys), Ilsey Juber (Jennifer Lopez, Snoh Aalegra) and Taylor Parks (Zendaya, Jason Derulo).

Production duties were handled by Eric Hudson and Andrew “Hit Drew” Clifton, who are also responsible for Keyshia Cole’s “Missing Me” [Interscope Records] and K. Michelle’s “Maybe I Should Call” [Atlantic Records].

Carey’s latest compilation album “#1 to Infinity” – featuring previous hit singles “We Belong Together,” “Obsessed” and “Touch My Body” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Epic Records.

Mariah Carey has shared the lyric video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the official lyrical clip for “Infinity” to her Vevo channel on Sunday (April 26, 2015).

“Infinity” – now available for download via iTunes – was co-written by Carey along with Priscilla Renea (Rita Ora, Tamar Braxton), Taylor Parks (Jason Derulo, Tori Kelly) and Ilsey Juber (Snoh Aalegra, Jennifer Lopez).

Production duties on “Infinity” were handled by Eric Hudson and Andrew “Hit Drew” Clifton, who are also responsible for K. Michelle’s “Maybe I Should Call” [Atlantic Records] and Marsha Ambrosius’ “Shoes” [RCA Records].

The track is lifted from Carey’s upcoming compilation album, “#1 to Infinity,” which will hit stores and digital outlets on May 18 under Epic Records.

Fans can expect an accompanying music video soon. It was filmed by filmmaker and music video director Brett Ratner, who previously teamed with Mariah on hit visuals including “Heartbreaker,” “We Belong Together” and “It’s Like That.”

Carey’s last album, 2014’s “Me. I Am Mariah … The Elusive Chanteuse,” peaked to number 3 on the US Albums Chart and spawned singles including the Miguel-assisted “#Beautiful” and Rodney Jerkins-produced “You’re Mine (Eternal).”

Mariah Carey has signed a new deal with Epic Records.

The Sony Music Entertainment imprint – headed by music moguls L.A. Reid and Sylvia Rhone – is also home to artists including Fifth Harmony, Meghan Trainor, Tamar Braxton, Ciara, Avril Lavigne, Sara Bareilles, and Kat Dahlia.

Reid previously served as executive producer amongst four of Carey’s albums, namely “The Emancipation of Mimi” (2005), “E=MC²” (2008), “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” (2009) and “Merry Christmas II You” (2010).

The songbird’s last studio collection, 2013’s “Me. I Am Mariah…. The Elusive Chanteuse,” peaked to number three on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned hit singles “#Beautiful” and “You’re Mine (Eternal).”

“We go back. @Ciara this is a old one,” he posted via his official Instagram account on Saturday (January 10, 2015).

Stewart co-wrote and produced two songs on Ciara’s third album “Fantasy Ride” in the shape of “Keep Dancin’ on Me” and “Like a Surgeon.” He also served as executive producer for her fourth studio collection, “Basic Instinct.”

His extensive resume includes additional works for Rihanna (“Umbrella”), Beyonce (“1+1”), Mariah Carey (“Obsessed”), Nicole Scherzinger (“Your Love”), Celine Dion (“Skies of L.A.”) and Tamar Braxton (“Stay and Fight”).

Meanwhile, Ciara is confirmed to release her sixth album later this year via iTunes in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

The still-untitled project follows 2013’s “Ciara,” which peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned hit single “Body Party.”

For the highly-anticipated new project, the “Overdose” star has reportedly teamed with Dr. Luke, Rock City, Henry “Cirkut” Walter, Polow Da Don, Mike Will Made It, Kenneth “Soundz” Coby, Diane Warren and Harmony Samuels.

The R&B musician, singer–songwriter and record producer has written and produced over 26 No. 1 R&B hits throughout his career.

Canadian singer/songwriter Kiesza has recently hit the studio with Mikkel Storleer Eriksen of Norwegian songwriting and production duo Stargate.

There’s been no word on what the pair worked on last night, or whether the session was intended for another artist or Kiesza’s debut album.

Stargate – which consists of Eriksen along with Tor Erik Hermansen – are responsible for hit singles “Black Widow” by Iggy Azalea f/ Rita Ora [Island Records] and “Cannonball” by Lea Michele [Columbia Records].

Their extensive resume also includes works for Rihanna (“Diamonds”), Beyoncé (“Irreplaceable”), Katy Perry (“Firework”), Mariah Carey (“I’m That Chick”), Toni Braxton (“I Hate Love”) and Janet Jackson (“2nite”).

Kiesza - Stargate

Meanwhile, Kiesza is expected to release her highly-anticipated first studio collection later this year via Lokal Legend / Island Records.

Current single “Giant in My Heart” – produced by Rami Samir Afuni – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

It serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Beautiful Surprise,” which debuted at number twenty six on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.
