Dan Caplen drafts Felix Joseph for new collaboration

Dan Caplen has drafted Felix Joseph for a new collaboration.

Joseph recently helmed the entirety of Elli Ingram’s debut album under Island Records, “Love You Really,” which features promotional singles “Stone Cold,” “Better Alone” and the Laura Dockrill-assisted “Table for Two.”

The British record producer, songwriter, photographer, and art director has also worked with the likes of Abi Ocia (“Konfyt”), Jorja Smith (“Beautiful Little Fools”), Aquilo (“Never Hurt Again”), Cosima (“Hymns for Him”), Kwabs (“Perfect Ruin”), Ray BLK (“50/50”), Professor Green (“Not Your Man”), Birdy (“Take My Heart”) and Kevin Garrett (“Pulling Me Under”).

Meanwhile, Caplen’s upcoming project – featuring the Jordan Riley and Mark Ralph-produced “Flat Champagne” – will arrive later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records UK.

The still-untitled collection reportedly boasts further contributions from Fred Cox (Maverick Sabre), Two Inch Punch (Rag’n’Bone Man), Levi Lennox (Zayn Malik), Jamie Hartman (Marlon Roudette), Fraser T. Smith (Craig David), Grades (Raleigh Ritchie), Dave Tozer (John Legend), Bastian Langebaek (Jack Garratt), Fred Ball (Prince Charlez) and MJ Cole (Sam Smith).

Amber Mark premieres music video for new single “Heatwave”

Amber Mark has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The American singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Heatwave” to her Vevo channel on Wednesday (September 6th, 2017).

The track was co-written and co-produced by Mark Ralph, whose credits also include Taya’s “When Ur Sober,” Zac Samuel’s “Never Letting Go,” Jax Jones’s “Instruction,” Clean Bandit’s “Disconnect,” Zara Larsson’s “Symphony,” Frances’s “Under Our Feet,” and Era Istrefi’s “Redrum.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Mark’s upcoming project and follow-up to “3:33am” is expected to arrive later this year via Jasmine Music in parternship with PMR Records and Virgin EMI Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly delivers additional alliances with Two Inch Punch (Jessie Reyez), Sarah Aarons (Dua Lipa), Noah Breakfast (Becky Hill), STINT (AlunaGeorge), Zac Samuel (Taya) and Jeff Gitty (Kelsey Lu).

Dan Caplen has reunited with Fred Cox for a new collaboration.

The pair previously teamed up on the unreleased track “Creeping Around,” which was co-written with Amy Wadge.

Cox’s resume boasts further songwriting and production works with Joel Compass (“Back to Me”), Lion Babe (“Impossible”), Rosie Lowe (“So Human”), Chloe Leone (“Comfortably Me”), Kiah Victoria (“Treat Me”), Denai Moore (“Leave it Up to You”) and Rag’n’Bone Man (“Grace”).

Meanwhile, Caplen’s upcoming project – featuring the Ray BLK-assisted / Jordan Riley and Mark Ralph-produced “Flat Champagne” – will arrive later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records UK.

The British record producer and songwriter (born Benjamin Ross Ash) has recently helmed songs for Elijah Blake (“Black & Blue”), Kodaline (“Brother”), Rex Orange County (“Untitled”) and Rag’n’Bone Man (“Ego”).

Fans of Two Inch Punch’s works should also keep an eye on the next releases by Jessie Reyez, Sabrina Claudio, Alma, Era Istrefi, Janice Kavander, Amber Mark, Ella Eyre, Dakota, Sam Smith, Raye, Jessie Ware, Saya, JP Cooper, Antigoni Buxton, Grace Carter, Jacob Banks, L Devine, and Kamille.

“Heatwave” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written and co-produced by Mark Ralph, whose credits also include Taya’s “When Ur Sober,” Zac Samuel’s “Never Letting Go,” Jax Jones’s “Instruction,” Clean Bandit’s “Disconnect,” Zara Larsson’s “Symphony,” Frances’s “Under Our Feet,” and Era Istrefi’s “Redrum.”

DAGNY hits the studio with Electric, Lucy “Pawws” Taylor

Norwegian singer/songwriter Dagny Norvoll Sandvik, known mononymously as Dagny, has enlisted the songwriting and production services of Lucy “Pawws” Taylor and Electric for her upcoming project under Republic Records.

Taylor’s songwriting resume boasts works for Dua Lipa (“Be the One”), Etham (“Close Enough”), Liv Dawson (“I’ll Be Waiting”), Tom Walker (“Boys Will Be Boys”), Annalisa (“Used to You”) and Redlight (“I’ll Be Waiting”).

Composed of members Edvard Erfjord and Henrik Michelsen, Electric are responsible for producing Little Mix’s “No More Sad Songs,” Machine Gun Kelly’s “At My Best,” Fleur East’s “Sax,” Olly Murs’ “Love You More,” Cheryl’s “Live Life Now,” Ben Haenow’s “Brother,” and M.O’s “Not in Love.”

DAGNY’s current promotional single “Wearing Nothing” – which was co-written with Tommy English, Alx Reuterskiold and Ludgvig Soderberg – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

On the follow-up to 2016’s “Ultraviolet,” DAGNY has reportedly teamed up with producers Jon Levine (Bebe Rexha), Mark Ralph (Craig David), Jonny Coffer (Ella Eyre), Cass Lowe (Sam Smith), Fred Ball (Alicia Keys), Justin Parker (Mikky Ekko), Bastian Langebaek (Kiah Victoria), Rami Yacoub (Charlie Puth), Axident (Dua Lipa), Big Taste (Jake Miller) and The 23rd (Grace Carter).

Among the songwriters expected to appear on the project are Simon Wilcox (Gallant), Nate Cyphert (Rachel Platten), Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran), Max McElligott (Liv Dawson), Ilsey Juber (Lykke Li), Danny Parker (Shawn Mendes), Emily Warren (Noah Cyrus), Andrew Jackson (Galantis), Caroline Ailin (Ella Henderson), Ross Golan (Stanaj) and Michelle Buzz (Jaira Burns).

Marina Diamandis teams with Clean Bandit for new single “Disconnect”

Welsh singer/songwriter Marina Diamandis, professionally known as Marina and the Diamonds, has teamed up with British electronic music group Clean Bandit for their new single “Disconnect,” now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Disconnect” were handled by group members Luke and Jack Patterson alongside Mark Ralph, whose other credits include Jax Jones’ “You Don’t Know Me,” Take That’s “Giants,” Frances’ “Under Our Feet,” Era Istrefi’s “Redrum,” and AlunaGeorge’s “Mean What I Mean.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Diamandis is currently working on her upcoming fourth album, which reportedly boasts contributions from Jason Evigan (Madonna), Sarah Hudson (Dua Lipa), Big Taste (Maty Noyes), Jesse St. John (Brooke Candy), Noah Breakfast (Amber Mark), Cass Lowe (Snakehips), James Flannigan (Kodaline) and Bonnie McKee (Charlie Puth).

Meanwhile, Clean Bandit’s sophomore studio collection – featuring previous singles “Symphony,” “Rockabye” and “Tears” – is expected to arrive later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.
