JP Cooper unleashes debut album “Raised Under Grey Skies”

British singer/songwriter JP Cooper has unleashed his debut album online.

“Raised Under Grey Skies” – featuring singles “September Song,” “Passport Home” and “She’s on My Mind” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The highly-anticipated project was prominently co-written and produced by Teemu Brunila, whose resume boasts additional works with Jetta (“Feels Like Coming Home”), Flo Rida (“Here It Is”), David Guetta (“I’ll Keep Loving You”), Trey Songz (“Never Again”) and Charlie Puth (“Know Your Name”).

Other album contributors include Mike Spencer (Labrinth), Adriano Buffone (Janelle Monae), Two Inch Punch (Rag’n’Bone Man), Fred Ball (Nina Nesbitt), Jamie Hartman (Conrad Sewell), Greg Wells (Katy Perry), Mark Taylor (Craig David) and Alex Smith (Rebecca Ferguson).

JP Cooper releases new promotional single “She’s on My Mind”

British singer/songwriter John Paul Cooper, professionally known as JP Cooper, has released his new promotional single online.

“She’s On My Mind” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Jon Hume and Mr. Hudson, who previously teamed up with JP Cooper on “September Song.” Released in 16 September 2016, the track peaked to number seven on the UK Singles Chart.

Production duties on “She’s on My Mind” were collectively handled by Teemu Brunila alongside Mike Spencer, whose recent credits include Youngr’s “Monsters,” Zara Larsson’s “Ain’t My Fault,” Snakehips’ “Cruel,” Gabrielle Aplin’s “Miss You,” and Raleigh Ritchie’s “I Can Change.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, JP Cooper’s upcoming debut album “Raised Under Grey Skies” – featuring previous single “Passport Home” – will arrive on September 22 via Universal Music Group / Island Records UK.

The highly-anticipated project boasts further productions and songwriting contributions from Two Inch Punch (Sabrina Claudio), Jamie Hartman (Marlon Roudette), Adriano Buffone (Janelle Monae), Mark Taylor (Enrique Iglesias), Paul Barry (LeAnn Rimes), Alex Smith (Ella Eyre) and Greg Wells (Keith Urban).

Sam Smith has recorded new music with Johnny McDaid.

The Irish record producer and songwriter recently co-penned “Shape of You” for Ed Sheeran alongside the song’s producer Steve Mac.

McDaid’s other credits include James Blunt’s “Make Me Better,” Aquilo’s “Sorry,” Robbie Williams’ “Love of My Life,” Birdy’s “Wild Horses,” Biffy Clyro’s “Howl,” Example’s “Say Nothing,” and Rudimental’s “Never Let You Go.”

Meanwhile, Smith is expected to release his sophomore studio collection later this year via Method Records and Capitol Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers further contributions from Jimmy Napes (Alicia Keys), Malay (Frank Ocean), Levi Lennox (Bebe Rexha), Mark Taylor (Ella Eyre) Cass Lowe (Stanaj) and Jason Boyd (Jason Derulo).

Smith’s first studio collection, 2014’s “In the Lonely Hour,” debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Stay With Me,” “Lay Me Down” and “I’m Not the Only One.”

Boyd is known for co-writing international hit singles including “What Do You Mean” (Justin Bieber), “Where Are U Now” (Jack Ü), “She Ain’t You” (Chris Brown), “Bitch Bad” (Lupe Fiasco) and “Work” (Kelly Rowland).

His extensive resume boasts further works with Usher (“Caught Up”), Pink (“Love is Such a Crazy Thing”), Kelis (“Handful”), Ludacris (“Contagious”), Mya (“Lock U Down”), Amerie (“Just Like Me”) and Blu Cantrell (“Round Up”).

The British singer-songwriter posted the Alex Grazioli-directed clip for “I Need You Tonight” to his Vevo channel on Sunday (March 06, 2016).

“I Need You Tonight” was co-written by Morrison along with Paul Barry, whose other credits include James Bay’s “Let it Go” [Republic], Ella Eyre’s “Always” [Virgin EMI] and Craig David’s “Unbelievable” [Asylum].

“I Need You Tonight” was co-written by Paul Barry, whose recent credits include James Bay’s “Let it Go” [Republic], Take That’s “Will You Be There for Me” [Polydor] and The Vamps’ “Another World” [Virgin EMI].

Production duties were handled by Mark Taylor, who is also behind Ella Eyre’s “Always” [Virgin EMI], Kylie Minogue’s “On a Night Like This” [Parlophone] and Enrique Iglesias’s “Heartbeat” f/ Nicole Scherzinger [Polydor].
