JONES premieres music video for new single “Melt”

JONES has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The British singer-songwriter posted the visual clip for “Melt” to her Vevo channel on Tuesday (August 02, 2016).

“Melt” – now available for download via iTunes – was written by JONES along with Andrew “Andy” Clutterbuck and James Hatcher of Elektro-Soul production duo HONNE.

As mentioned in earlier posts, JONES’ first studio collection “New Skin” – featuring previous singles “Indulge” and “Hoops” – will be released on October 7 via 37 Adventures.

Other album contributors include Ollie Green (Alex Newell), Adam Argyle (Izzy Bizu), Martin Brammer (James Morrison), Laura Dockrill (Jessie Ware), Josh Record (Dua Lipa), Justin Parker (Lana Del Rey), and MNEK (Beyonce).

JONES has scheduled the release date for her upcoming debut album.

The British singer-songwriter – real name Cherie Jones – will release “New Skin” on October 7th via 37 Adventures.

Current single “Melt” – now available for download via iTunes – was written by JONES along with Andrew “Andy” Clutterbuck and James Hatcher of Elektro-Soul production duo HONNE.

Other album contributors include Ollie Green (Alex Newell), Adam Argyle (Izzy Bizu), Martin Brammer (James Morrison), Laura Dockrill (Jessie Ware), Josh Record (Dua Lipa), Justin Parker (Lana Del Rey) and MNEK (Beyonce).

“Melt” – now available for download via iTunes – was written by JONES along with Andrew “Andy” Clutterbuck and James Hatcher of Elektro-Soul production duo HONNE.

As mentioned in earlier posts, JONES’ debut album “New Skin” – featuring previous singles “Indulge” and “Hoops” – will arrive later this year.

The highly-anticipated project reportedly boasts further contributions from Adam Argyle, Martin Brammer, Digital Farm Animals, MNEK, Ollie Green, Max McElligot, Two Inch Punch, Justin Parker, and Rodiadh McDonald.

DAKOTA enlists Maiday, Bless Beats for debut album

DAKOTA has enlisted Maiday and Bless Beats for her debut album.

Maiday – real name Rachel Moulden – is responsible for co-writing Leona Lewis’s “Stop the Clocks” [Syco Music], Naughty Boy’s “One Way” [Virgin EMI], and Girls Aloud’s “Beautiful ‘Cause You Love Me” [Polydor].

Meanwhile, notable production credits by Bless Beats are Krishane’s “Drunk and Incapable” f/ Melissa Steel [Atlantic Records] and Tinie Tempah’s “Not Letting Go” f/ Jess Glynne [Disturbing London / Parlophone Records].

DAKOTA, on the other hand, is expected to release her first studio collection – featuring “Lonely Like a Fool” – later this year through 70Hz Recordings.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts further songwriting contributions from Amy Wadge, Ed Drewett, Laura Dockrill, Hannah Robinson, Karen Poole, Ollie Green, Tim Woodcock, and Martin Brammer.

On the production front, DAKOTA has teamed up with Fraser T. Smith, Linda Perry, Jamie Scott, Future Cut, Jez Ashurst, Luke Potashnick, Josh Record, Fred Cox, Jack McManus, and MKYL.

JONES has drafted Adam Argyle and Martin Brammer for her debut album.

“Yesterday’s smiles with @AdamArgyle and @MartinBrammer,” the British singer-songwriter tweeted on Tuesday (March 08, 2016).

Argyle and Brammer recently co-wrote “Time of My Life” for Ronan Keating along with Norma Jean Martine. The track appears on the Irish artist’s latest album of the same name, which is now available via Decca Records.

Other notable credits by the Argyle and Brammer include Ella Eyre’s “Bullet for You” [Virgin EMI], Olly Murs’ “Oh My Goodness” [Epic], Josh Kumra’s “Keep on Walking” [RCA] and Melanie C’s “Stupid Game” [Red Girl].

Meanwhile, JONES’s debut album “New Skin” – featuring singles “Indulge” and “Hoops” – will be released later this year through 37 Adventures.

The keenly awaited project yields additional alliances with Max McElligot, Ollie Green, XO, Josh Record, Laura Dockrill, SG Lewis, Two Inch Punch, Justin Parker, Digital Farm Animals, MNEK, and Rodaidh McDonald.

James Morrison selects “I Need You Tonight” as new single

James Morrison has selected his new single.

The British singer-songwriter christened “I Need You Tonight” as the next promotional cut from his latest studio album, “Higher Than Here.”

“I Need You Tonight” was co-written by Paul Barry, whose recent credits include James Bay’s “Let it Go” [Republic], Take That’s “Will You Be There for Me” [Polydor] and The Vamps’ “Another World” [Virgin EMI].

Production duties were handled by Mark Taylor, who is also behind Ella Eyre’s “Always” [Virgin EMI], Kylie Minogue’s “On a Night Like This” [Parlophone] and Enrique Iglesias’s “Heartbeat” f/ Nicole Scherzinger [Polydor].

As mentioned in earlier posts, “Higher Than Here” – featuring previous singles “Demons” and “Stay Like This” – is now available via Island Records.

Other musicians backing Morrison on the follow-up to 2011’s “The Awakening” are Fred Cox, Jim Eliot, Mima Stilwell, Malay, Eg White, Martin Terefe, Jarrad Rogers, Martin Brammer, Kid Harpoon, Jonny Lattimer, and Steve Robson.
