Skylar Stecker releases new single “How Did We”

Skylar Stecker has released her new single online.

“How Did We” – taken from the original motion picture soundtrack “Everything, Everything” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, who are also behind Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” Selena Gomez’s “Hands to Myself,” Pia Mia’s “Sorry,” John Legend’s “What You Do to Me,” Nick Jonas’ “Closer,” Gwen Stefani’s “Misery,” and Britney Spears’ “Slumber Party.”

Production duties on “How Did We” were handled by Jussi “Jussifer” Karvinen, who is also behind Jojo’s “FAB,” New Kids on the Block’s “One More Night,” Butcher Babies’ “Never Go Back,” and Christopher & Matoma’s “Take Me Back.”

Stecker, on the other hand, is expected to release her upcoming sophomore album – featuring the Tricky Stewart-produced “Only Want You” – is expected to arrive later this year via Cherrytree / Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers additional productions from Martin “Cherry Cherry Boom Boom” Kierszenbaum (Madonna, Lady GaGa), Dallas Austin (Tamia, Janet Jackson), Sean “The Pen” Garrett (Beyonce, Kelly Rowland) and Polow Da Don (Ciara, Tamar Braxton).

Madonna hints at new collaboration with Alicia Keys for new album

Madonna has hinted at a new collaboration with fellow artist Alicia Keys for her upcoming thirteenth studio album.

The singer, songwriter, pianist and record producer previously teamed up with artists such as John Legend [Columbia], Emeli Sande [Capitol], Usher [RCA], Drake [Republic], Bruno Mars [Atlantic] and Frank Ocean [Def Jam].

Some of her notable songwriting and production credits include Mario’s “2 Train” [J Records], Christina Aguilera’s “Impossible” [RCA], Whitney Houston’s “Million Dollar Bill” [Arista] and Jennifer Hudson’s “Angel” [RCA].

Meanwhile, the highly-anticipated new studio collection by Madonna is expected to be released later this year via Universal Music Group / Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “MDNA,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Other album contributions include Diplo (Lorde, Chris Brown), MNEK (Rudimental, Gorgon City), Toby Gad (Beyonce, Jessie J), Ariel Rechtshaid (HAIM, Charli XCX) and Martin Kierszenbaum (Lady Gaga, Natalia Kills).

Madonna enlists Ariel Rechtshaid for new album

Madonna has enlisted Ariel Rechtshaid for her upcoming thirteenth album.

The hitmaker is known for co-writing and producing songs for the likes of Usher [RCA Records], Solange [Saint Records], No Doubt [Interscope Records], Rita Ora [Columbia Records] and Vampire Weekend [XL Recordings].

Some of his notable credits include Sky Ferreira’s “I Blame Myself” [Capitol Records], Kylie Minogue’s “If Only” [Parlophone Records], Charli XCX’s “You’re the One” [Atlantic Records] and Haim’s “Falling” [Polydor Records].

As previously reported, the as-yet-untitled new LP by Madonna is scheduled to be released later this year via Live Nation / Interscope Records.

It serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “MDNA,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and delivered hit singles including “Give Me All Your Luvin,” “Girl Gone Wild” and “Turn Up the Radio.”

In addition to Rechtshaid, Madonna has also teamed up with Diplo (Katy Perry, Britney Spears), Toby Gad (Robin Thicke, Alicia Keys), Symbolyc One (Beyoncé, Kanye West) and Martin Kierszenbaum (Lady Gaga, Far East Movement).

Madonna has recently collaborated with Diplo for her upcoming studio album.

The hitmaker – born Thomas Wesley Pentz – is known for helming “Passenger” by Britney Spears [RCA Records], “It Won’t Stop” by Sevyn Streeter [Atlantic Records] and “Opulence” by Brooke Candy [Monkey Puzzle Records].

He also confirmed songwriting and production placements on the next projects by Usher [RCA Records], Jennifer Lopez [Capitol Records], Rita Ora [Columbia Records], Kat Dahlia [Epic Records] and Charli XCX [Atlantic Records].

As previously reported, Madonna’s upcoming thirteenth studio album is expected to be released later this year via Live Nation / Interscope Records.

It serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “MDNA,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and featured hit singles “Give Me All Your Luvin,” “Girl Gone Wild,” “Masterpiece” and “Turn Up the Radio.”
