John Legend liberates new promotional single “I Know Better”

John Legend has liberated his new promotional single online.

“I Know Better” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written and produced by Legend alongside Blake Mills, who previously teamed up with the artist on hit single, “Love Me Now.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Legend’s fifth studio collection “Darkness and Light” will arrive on December 2 via GOOD Music / Columbia Records.

The follow-up to 2013’s “Love in the Future” delivers additional alliances with Greg Kurstin, Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter, Tobias Jesso Jr., John Henry Ryan, Matt Sweeney, Tyler Johnson, and Joel Compass.

John Legend enlists Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter for new album “Darkness and Light”

John Legend has enlisted Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter for his upcoming fifth album, “Darkness and Light,” which will hit stores and digital streaming outlets on December 2 via GOOD Music / Columbia Records.

Michaels and Tranter co-wrote “Love You Anyway” and “What You Do to Me” for Legend alongside Tyler Johnson, Blake Mills and Matt Sweeney, respectively.

The songwriting duo are also responsible for singles performed by Britney Spears (“Slumber Party”), Gwen Stefani (“Make Me Like You”), Justin Bieber (“Sorry”), Selena Gomez (“Hands to Myself”), Nicole Scherzinger (“Run”), Pia Mia (“Touch”) and Nick Jonas (“Close”).

In addition Michaels and Tranter, “Darkness and Light” delivers additional alliances with Greg Kurstin (Sia, Kylie Minogue), Tobias Jesso Jr. (Adele, Jarryd James) and John Henry Ryan (Colbie Caillat, One Direction).

The keenly awaited project serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Love in the Future,” which debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned international hit single “All of Me.”

Meanwhile, Tranter and Michaels have collectively contributed to the next releases by Jason Derulo, Years & Years, Jasmine Thompson, Ella Henderson, Hailee Steinfeld, Zara Larsson, Betty Who, Ellie Goulding, Jessie Ware, Rita Ora, and Snakehips.
