Sam Smith shares “Like I Can” music video

Sam Smith - In the Lonely Hour

Sam Smith has shared a new music video online.

The British singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Like I Can” to his official Vevo page on Friday (December 12, 2014).

“Like I Can” was written by Smith along with Matt Prime, whose other credits include Eliza Doolittle’s “Make Up Sex” [Parlophone Records], Maverick Sabre’s “These Days” [Island Records] and Olly Murs’ “Just Smile” [Epic Records].

Production duties were handled by Jimmy Napes and Steve Fitzmaurice along with Mustafa Omer and James Murray of Mojam, who have also worked with Emeli Sande [Capitol Records] and Leona Lewis [Island Records].

Smith’s debut album “In Lonely Hour” also features previous promotional singles “Money on My Mind,” “Stay with Me” and “I’m Not the Only One.”

It also boasts further productions from Fraser T. Smith (Ella Eyre, Britney Spears), Francis “Eg” White (Adele, Rebecca Ferguson), Two Inch Punch (Miguel, Jessie Ware) and Komi Hakam (Paloma Faith, Ella Henderson).

On the songwriting front, Smith penned four songs on Mary J. Blige’s latest album “The London Sessions.” These tracks are “Therapy,” “Not Loving You,” “Nobody But You” and the Disclosure produced-“Right Now.”

Sam Smith - In the Lonely Hour

Sam Smith has premiered the music video for his new single online.

“Leave Your Lover” marks the third promotional single from the British singer/songwriter’s upcoming debut album, “In the Lonely Hour.”

The track was written by Sam Smith and Simon Aldred, meanwhile production duties were handled by Jimmy Napes and Steve Fitzmaurice.

Previous release “Stay with Me” – co-written by William “Tourist” Phillips – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

As previously reported, “In the Lonely Hour” is scheduled to hit stores and online outlets in the United Kingdom on May 27 / United States on June 16 via Universal Music Group / PMR / Capitol Records.

Sam Smith has revealed the credits for his upcoming debut album.

The British singer/songwriter – born Samuel Fredrick Smith – is scheduled to release “In the Lonely Hour” on May 27 via PMR / Capitol Records.

New single “Stay with Me” – written by Sam Smith along with James Napier and William “Tourist” Phillips – is now available for download via iTunes.

Lauriana Mae works with Polow Da Don for debut album

Singer/songwriter Lauriana Mae has recently worked with Polow Da Don for her upcoming debut album, out soon via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The super producer – born Jamal Jones – is known helming singles “London Bridge” by Fergie [Interscope Records], “Blindfold Me” by Kelis [Jive Records] and “Love in this Club” by Usher [RCA Records].

He also confirmed placements on the next projects by Mario [RCA Records], Keri Hilson [Interscope Records], Beyoncé Knowles [Columbia Records], Nikki Williams [Island Def Jam Recordings] and Chris Brown [RCA Records].

Other producers backing Mae on the still-untitled collection are Kwame Holland (Fantasia, Christina Aguilera), Jack Splash (Pixie Lott, Mayer Hawthorne), Toby Gad (Colbie Caillat, John Legend) and Pharrell Williams (Ciara, Mikky Ekko).

Eliza Doolittle has premiered the music video for her new single online.

Rox drafts Patrice for new single ‘Kryptonite’

Rox has revealed the title of her new single online.

The singer/songwriter – real name Roxanne Tataei – will release “Kryptonite” as the lead single from her upcoming as-yet-untitled sophomore album.

The track was produced by Sierra Leonean-German reggae musician Patrice Bart-Williams (better known as Patrice).

Rox’s debut album “Memoirs” was released in 2010 via Rough Trade Records. That collection was executively produced by Alexander “Al Shux” Shuckburgh, whose known for collaborating with the likes of Alicia Keys [RCA Records], Cheryl Cole [Polydor Records] and Lana Del Rey [Interscope Records].

The “My Baby Left Me” star also collaborated with hitmakers including Sam Dixon (Sia, Christina Aguilera) / Future Cut: Darren Lewis & Tunde Babalola (Stooshe, Olly Murs) / Matthew Prime (Eliza Doolittle, Skylar Grey) / and TMS: Thomas Barnes, Peter Kelleher and Ben Kohn (Jessie J, Emeli Sande).

Eliza Doolittle has scheduled the release date for her sophomore album.

The British singer/songwriter – real name Eliza Caird – will release “In Your Hands” in the United Kingdom on October 14 via Warner Music Group / Parlophone Records.

New single “Let It Rain” was co-written by Ross Golan, whose credits include the likes of Skylar Grey [Interscope Records], Icona Pop [Big Beat Records], Cee Lo Green [Elektra Records] and Nicki Minaj [Republic Records].

Other album contributors include Steve Robson (Christina Aguilera, Paloma Faith), Wayne Hector (Katy Perry, Britney Spears), Lucas Secon (Alexandra Burke, Conor Maynard), Matthew Prime (Lauriana Mae, Natalie Imbruglia) and Tim Woodcock (Delta Goodrem, Victoria Beckham).
