Melanie Fiona liberates new promotional single “Remember U”

Melanie Fiona has liberated her new promotional single online.

“Remember U” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by regular collaborator Andrea Martin, whose extensive resume boasts additional works with Toni Braxton (“I Love Me Some Him”), Monica (“Before You Walk Out of My Life”), Tracie Spencer (“Still in My Heart”), Leona Lewis (“Better in Time”) and En Vogue (“Don’t Let Go”).

Production duties on “Remember U” were handled by Jack Splash, who is also responsible for CeeLo Green’s “Fool for You,” K. Michelle’s “Sometimes,” John Legend’s “P.D.A.,” Alicia Keys’ “Teenage Love Affair,” Jennifer Hudson’s “All Dressed in Love,” Keyshia Cole’s “I Choose You,” and Solange’s “T.O.N.Y.”

Fiona’s upcoming third album “Next Train” is expected to arrive later this year via Title 9 Productions in partnership with BMG Rights Management and Primary Wave Records.

The follow-up to 2012’s “The MF Life” reportedly boasts further songwriting contributions from Sebastian Kole (Brandy), Audra Mae (Kelly Clarkson), Lil Eddie (Rita Ora) and Carmen Reece (Tamar Braxton).

On the production front, Fiona has worked with Andre Harris (Claudette Ortiz), Jerry Duplessis (Mary J. Blige), Jesse Shatkin (Rihanna), Gary Go (Harry Styles), Chris DeStefano (Kylie Minogue) and Jayson DeZuzio (Dua Lipa).

Melanie Fiona has shared the music video for her new single online.

The Canadian singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “I Tried” to her Vevo channel on Friday (October 09, 2015).

“I Tried” – out now via iTunes – was written by Fiona along with Sir Darryl Farris (Tyrese, Jill Scott) and Andre Harris (Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys).

Video treatment was handled by Carmen Murray, Melanie’s manager and Co-CEO of management company Title 9 Productions.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Fiona is expected to release her third studio collection “Awake” later this year through Title 9 Productions in conjunction with Primary Wave Music and BMG Rights Management.

Melanie Fiona has dropped the music video for her new single online.

The Canadian singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Bite the Bullet” to her Vevo channel Thursday (August 20, 2015).

“Bite the Bullet” – now available for download via iTunes – was co-written by BMG recording artist Midian along with Ryan Toby (Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige) and Andre Harris (Jill Scott, Mariah Carey).

The track also marks the first promotional cut from Fiona’s upcoming third album, “Awake,” slated to hit stores later this year through Title 9 Productions in partnership with Primary Wave Music and BMG Rights Management.

Other songwriters and producers backing Fiona on the follow-up to 2012’s “The MF Life” are Jack Splash (Alicia Keys, Keyshia Cole), Andrea Martin (Jess Glynne, Ella Eyre) and Alan Nglish (Andreya Triana, CeeLo Green).

Melanie Fiona confirms new album “Awake”

Melanie Fiona has confirmed the details for her upcoming third album.

The Canadian singer/songwriter christened her next studio collection “Awake” and will release it later this year under Title 9 / Primary Wave / BMG.

Lead single “Bite the Bullet” – now available for download via iTunes – was written by Fiona and fellow BMG artist Midian along with Ryan Toby (Usher, Mary J. Blige) and Andre Harris (LeToya Luckett, Alicia Keys).

Fiona’s second album, “The MF Life,” was released in March 2012 via Republic Records. The collection peaked topped the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and spawned hit singles including “4AM” and “This Time.”

As for the new CD, Fiona has teamed up with producers and songwriters Andrea Martin (Leona Lewis, Jordin Sparks), Jack Splash (Britney Spears, Jazmine Sullivan) and Alan Nglish (CeeLo Green, Andreya Triana).

Melanie Fiona has confirmed the title for her new single.

The Canadian singer/songwriter christened “Bite the Bullet” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming third studio album.

“Bite the Bullet” will be available for download from May 12 via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

Fiona last appearance was in the shape of the track “Where it Counts,” taken from the compilation album “BET Presents Music Matters, Vol. 1.” Fiona wrote “Where it Counts” along with Tiffany Fred (Tamar Braxton, Keri Hilson) and Salaam Remi (Jazmine Sullivan, Mack Wilds).

Furthermore, Fiona co-wrote “Lovers in the Parking Lot” for Solange Knowles along with Devonte “Blood Orange” Hynes. The track is lifted from Solange’s mini-album “True,” out now via Terrible Records.

As for the new album, Fiona has reportedly collaborated with Jerry Duplessis (Miguel, Jennifer Hudson), Andrea Martin (Fergie, Toni Braxton), Jack Splash (Alicia Keys, Jamie Foxx), Andre Harris (Ciara, Mariah Carey), Carlos McKinney (Usher, Kelly Rowland) and Alan Nglish (Taio Cruz, CeeLo Green).

Fiona’s last studio album, 2012’s “The MF Life,” peaked to number 7 on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned hit singles including “Gone and Never Coming Back,” “This Time,” “4 AM” and “Wrong Side of a Love Song.”

Stacy Barthe has confirmed the details for her upcoming debut album.

The singer/songwriter christened her first studio collection “BEcoming” and will release it next year via Homeschool Records and Motown Records.

Among the tracks slotted for inclusion on “BEcoming” are “Hey You There,” “Eyes Wide Shut,” “You Wonder Why” and “Live for Today.”

On the production front, Barthe has teamed with Darhyl “DJ” Camper (Tamar Braxton, Mary J. Blige), James “Malay” Ho (Goapele, Frank Ocean), Benny Cassette (Miguel, Keri Hilson) and Pharrell Williams (Brandy, Gwen Stefani).

As a songwriter, the “Hell Yeah” star penned cuts for K. Michelle (“Build a Man”), Miley Cyrus (“Adore You”), Britney Spears (“Blur”), Melanie Fiona (“Like I Love You”) and Katy Perry (“Hummingbird Heartbeat”).

Her mini-album, 2013’s “P.S. I Still Love You,” is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

“Heartbreak Heard Around the World” – featuring T-Pain – is lifted from the artist’s upcoming project with Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The track was co-written by Johnta Austin, whose notable credits include Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together” [Def Jam Recordings] and Melanie Fiona’s “This Time” [Republic Records].

Production duties were handled by Martin Johnson and Robert Shea Taylor, whose extensive resume includes works for Beyonce [Columbia Records], Sia [RCA Records] and Lianne La Havas [Atlantic Records].

“Cold Piece” marks the first promotional single from the Canadian artist’s upcoming third studio album with Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

The track was co-written and produced by Alan Nglish, whose previously teamed up with artists including Livvi Franc [Warner Bros. Records], Cee Lo Green [Elektra Records] and Taio Cruz [Island Records].

The new collection by Fiona serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “The MF Life,” which debuted at number seven on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.
