Melissa Steel teases new collaboration with Craig David

Melissa Steel has teased a new collaboration with Craig David.

“THE LEGEND @craigdavid #studio,” the British singer/songwriter posted to Instagram on Wednesday (June 12, 2018).

David’s latest studio collection “The Time is Now” – featuring guest appearances from fellow recording artists such as Bastille, Ella Mai, JP Cooper, and GoldLink – peaked to number two on the UK Albums Chart.

His current promotional single “Magic” – featuring Yxng Bane – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Meanwhile, Steel is expected to release her upcoming debut project later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records UK.

The still-untitled collection reportedly yields productions and songwriting contributions from Diztortion, Grace Barker, ADP, Lauren Aquilina, Maestro Tha Baker, Dyo, Ill Blu, Jin Jin, TobiShyBoy, Chiara Hunter, Knightstarr, Dolapo, Alan Sampson, Grace Ackerman, and Banx n Ranx.

Melissa Steel writes new music with Shola Ama

Melissa Steel has written new music with fellow artist Shola Ama.

The “Imagine” star recently provided guest vocals on JKAY’s single “Danger,” co-written by Aminata “A*M*E” Kabba, Caroline Ailin, Marvin Humes, and Uzoechi “MNEK” Emenike.

As a songwriter, Ama co-wrote Taya’s “Got Me Wondering” alongside Eyelar Mirzazadeh and the song’s producer Tommy “Toddla T” Bell.

Ama also co-wrote “Good Friends” for UK girl group M.O alongside Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and Gareth “Bless Beats” Keane.

Meanwhile, Steel is expected to release her first studio collection – featuring promotional singles “Kisses for Breakfast” and “You Love Me” – later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly features productions from Diztortion (Ms. Dyanmite), Tre Jean Marie (KAYTRANADA), Michael Angelo (Stanaj), Di Genius (Drake), Jonny Lattimer (Anne-Marie), Knox Brown (Dua Lipa), Moon Willis (Justine Skye), Phil Cook (Birdy) and Laconic (Cover Drive).

Steel also collaborated with songwriters Autumn Rowe (Leona Lewis), Viktoria Hansen (All Saints), Jennifer Decilveo (Diana Gordon), Nicola Roberts (Tinashe), Dayo Olatunji (Fifth Harmony) and Sam Romans (Alicia Keys).

Melissa Steel has recorded new material with Fraser T. Smith.

The Grammy award winning record producer and songwriter recently co-penned “Feels Like Home” for British drum and bass duo Sigma. The Ina Wroldsen-assisted track appears on Sigma’s debut album, “Life,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with 3Beat Music.

Smith’s extensive resume include further works with Adele (“Set Fire to the Rain”), James Morrison (“Broken Strings”), Sam Smith (“Drowning Shadows”), Leona Lewis (“Come Alive”), and Birdy (“Standing in the Way of the Light”).

Meanwhile, Steel is expected to release her first studio collection – featuring singles “Kisses for Breakfast” and “You Love Me?” – later this year through Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled project delivers alliances with Dallas Austin (Madonna), Cass Lowe (Tinashe), Rodney Jerkins (Ciara), Harmony Samuels (Brandy), Knox Brown (Usher), Di Genius (Ne-Yo), and Chris Loco (Emeli Sande).

Melissa Steel has recorded new music Nicola Roberts and Diztortion.

“Creating with @TheDiztortion and @NicolaRoberts,” the British singer/songwriter tweeted on Monday (November 16, 2015).

Diztortion is a Dutch born record producer best known for his work with UK based artists such as Stylo G (“Soundbwoy”), Lethal Bizzle (“The Drop”), Tinie Tempah (“Peak”) and Sigma (“Redemption”).

Meanwhile, Roberts is responsible for co-writing Joel Compass’ “Girlfriends” [Outsiders Recorded Music], Cheryl’s “Throwback” [Polydor] and Little Mix’s “Going Nowhere” [Syco / Columbia].

As mentioned in earlier posts, Steel is scheduled to release her first studio collection – featuring singles “Kisses for Breakfast” and “You Love Me?” – next year through Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled LP boasts productions from Rodney Jerkins (Beyonce), Jerry Duplessis (Lauryn Hill), Knox Brown (Usher), Harmony Samuels (Ciara), Bless Beats (Jess Glynne), Di Genius (Emeli Sande) and Chris Loco (Rita Ora).

Melissa Steel has hinted at a new collaboration with Dallas Austin.

“Had a sick session with @DallasAustin and the co today,” the British singer/songwriter tweeted on Tuesday (October 13, 2015).

Austin recently co-wrote “FourFiveSeconds” for Rihanna along with Kirby Lauryen and Mike Dean. The Kanye West and Paul McCartney-assisted track peaked to number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

He also worked with Janet Jackson (“Just a Little While”), Lionel Richie (“Reason to Believe”), Madonna (“Secret”), Pink (“Don’t Let Me Get Me”), TLC (“Silly Ho”), Kelis (“Trick Me”) and Monica (“Don’t Take It Personal).

Meanwhile, Steel is expected to release her first studio collection – featuring singles “Kisses for Breakfast” and “You Love Me?” – next year through Disturbing London in conjunction with Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled LP reportedly delivers productions from Chris Loco (Tori Kelly), Di Genius (Emeli Sande), Rodney Jerkins (Sam Smith), Harmony Samuels (Ciara), Knox Brown (Little Mix) and Bless Beats (Jess Glynne).

Austin, on the other hand, contributed to the next projects by Krishane [Atlantic Records], M.O [Operator Records] and Cris Cab [Island Records].

British singer/songwriter Melissa Steel has added Cass Lowe to the list of contributors for her upcoming debut album.

Lowe recently co-produced and co-wrote “All Cried Out” for UK house duo Blonde along with Rachel “Raye” Keen and Lucas Secon. The Alex Newell-assisted track peaked to number four on the UK Singles Chart.

Other notable credits by Lowe include Cheryl’s “Coming Up for Air” f/ Joel Compass [Polydor], Sinead Harnett’s “Anywhere But Here” [Virgin EMI], Grades’ “King” [Warner Bros] and Kwabs’ “Love + War” [Atlantic].

Meanwhile, Steel is expected to release her first studio collection later this year through Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

Current single “You Love Me?” – available for download from September 11 via iTunes (UK) – was co-written by ROMANS (John Legend, Mary J. Blige) and produced by Rodney Jerkins (Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly).

Melissa Steel’s new single “You Love Me?” gets a Di Genius remix

Melissa Steel’s new single has been remixed by Di Genius.

The British songbird posted the re-produced clip for “You Love Me?” – featuring Assassin – to her YouTube channel on Friday (August 13, 2015).

“You Love Me?” marks the second promotional cut from Steel’s upcoming debut album under Disturbing London and Atlantic Records.

The track – available for download from September 11 through iTunes (UK) – was originally co-written by ROMANS (Mary J. Blige, John Legend) and produced by Rodney Jerkins (Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey).

Di Genius – real name Stephen McGregor – recently produced and co-wrote “Midnight” for British singer/songwriter Lianne La Havas along with Sam Dew (Rihanna, Bridget Kelly) and Shea Taylor (Beyonce, Nicole Scherzinger).

Other notable works by the Jamaican record producer and songwriter are with Nelly Furtado (“Don’t Leave Me”), Sean Paul (“Dat You Like”), Mali Music (“One”), Katy B (“Little Red Light”) and Matisyahu (“Smash Lies”).
