Troye Sivan christens “My My My” as new promotional single

South African-Australian singer, songwriter, and actor Troye Sivan has christened “My My My” as his next promotional single and will release it on January 12 via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by Sivan alongside Oscar “OzGo” Gorres (Taylor Swift, Britney Spears), Brett “Leland” McLaughlin (Rachel Platten, Andy Grammer) and James Ghaleb (Katy Perry, The Script).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Sivan’s upcoming sophomore album and follow-up to 2015’s “Blue Neighbourhood” is expected to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly delivers further contributions from BloodPop (Dua Lipa, John Legend), Ali Tamposi (Beyonce, Rita Ora), Justin Tranter (Gwen Stefani, Nick Jonas), Ariel Rechtshaid (Madonna, Charli XCX), Kaytranada (Cassie, Mary J. Blige) and Joel Little (Lorde, Sam Smith).

Ellie Goulding drafts Jamie Hartman, The 23rd for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Ellie Goulding has drafted Jamie Hartman and The 23rd for a new collaboration.

Composed of brothers George and Henry Flint, The 23rd are known for co-writing and producing Grace Carter’s “Silence” [Polydor Records] and Sigrid’s “Plot Twist” [Island Records].

Meanwhile, Hartman’s songwriting and production resume boasts works with Jennifer Hudson (“Burden Me”), Rag’n’Bone Man (“Human”), JP Cooper (“Passport Home”), Kacy Hill (“Lion”) and Birdy (“Shadow”).

Goulding, on the other hand, is expected to release her fourth studio collection early next year via Polydor Records (UK) and Interscope Records (US).

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts further contributions from TMS (Maroon 5), Raye (Little Mix), BloodPop (Madonna), Ilsey Juber (Lykke Li), Andrew Jackson (Skylar Grey), Nate Campany (Carly Rae Jepsen), Justin Tranter (Gwen Stefani) and Noel Zancanella (Tori Kelly).

Raye reunites with Billy Walsh of Somewhere Else for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Rachel Keen, known mononymously as Raye, has reunited with Billy Walsh of Somewhere Else for a new collaboration.

The pair previously teamed up on Somewhere Else’s single “Glue,” which is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Walsh’s songwriting resume boasts additional works with Emeli Sande (“Starlight”), Alicia Keys (“In Common”), The Weeknd (“Die for You”), Post Malone (“I Fall Apart”) and Majid Jordan (“Something About You”).

Meanwhile, Raye is expected to release her next project – featuring the Jin Jin-assisted / Fraser T. Smith produced single “Decline” – early next year via Universal Music Group / Polydor Records.

As a songwriter, she recently co-wrote “If I Had My Way” for Little Mix alongside fellow recording artist Sam Romans and Thomas “Froe” Barnes, Benjamin Kohn and Peter “Merf” Kelleher of UK production team TMS.

Throughout this year, Raye has also been in the studio with musicians including BloodPop, Julia Michaels, Kane “Kin” Parfitt, Sasha Sloan, Wesley Muoria-Chaves, Eyelar Mirzazadeh, D’Mile, Sarah Aarons, John Ryan, Ilsey Juber, Naughty Boy, Fred Ball, Evan Bogart, Julian Bunetta, and Banx & Ranx.

Lily Allen christens “Trigger Bang” as lead single from new album

Lily Allen has announced the details for her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter christened “Trigger Bang” – featuring Giggs – as the lead promotional cut from her upcoming album under Parlophone Records, tentatively entitled “The Fourth Wall.”

Released in 2014; Allen’s previous studio collection “Sheezus” topped the UK Albums Chart and peaked to number twelve on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart. That project also spawned three singles in the shape of “Hard Out Here,” “Air Balloon” and “As Long As I Got You.”

Among the songwriters and producers expected to appear on “The Fourth Album” are Mark Ronson, Jenna Andrews, Benny Cassette, Andrea “Nylo” Landis, BloodPop, Chloe Angelides, Tev’n, Sarah Hudson, Dre Skull, Liana Banks, Ari PenSmith, Rodaidh McDonald, and Sam Duckworth.

It is also important to note that Allen co-wrote “Mr. C” for Nina Nesbitt alongside Karen Poole and Steve Mac, as well as “Can’t Dance without You” for Professor Green alongside Peter “Merf” Kelleher, Benjamin Kohn and Thomas “Froe” Barnes of UK songwriting/production team TMS.

Tinashe drafts Shungudzo, MNEK for new collaboration

American singer/songwriter Tinashe Jorgensen Kachingwe, known mononymously as Tinashe, has drafted Shungudzo and MNEK for a new song entitled “Eat You Up” (as per ASCAP Reportery).

Having contributed to the next projects by Ella Henderson, Liza Owen, Alina Baraz and Sabina Ddumba; Shungudzo (aka Alexandra Govere) is responsible for co-penning Little Mix’s “Touch,” The Chainsmokers’ “It Won’t Kill Ya,” Louisa Johnson’s “Best Behaviour,” and Jessie Ware’s “Your Domino.”

Meanwhile, recent songwriting/production credits by MNEK include Anne-Marie’s “Heavy,” 5 After Midnight’s “Up in Here,” Zara Larsson’s “What They Say,” Dua Lipa’s “IDGAF,” Raye’s “You Don’t Know Me,” Demi Lovato’s “Instruction,” Becky Hill’s “Unpredictable,” and Olly Murs’ “Private.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Tinashe is expected to release her sophomore studio collection “Joyride” early next year via RCA Records.

Norwegian singer/songwriter Sigrid Solbakk Raabe, known mononymously as simply Sigrid, has released her new promotional single online.

“Strangers” – which was co-written and produced by regular collaborator Martin Sjolie – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Sigrid’s upcoming debut studio collection – featuring previous promotional singles “Don’t Kill My Vibe” and “Plot Twist” – is expected to arrive early next year via Universal Music Group / Island Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts additional productions from Future Cut (Rita Ora), Justin Parker (Ellie Goulding), Laconic (Mic Lowry), Jonny Coffer (Beyonce), The Electric (Mabel McVey), Fred Ball (Rihanna), BloodPop (Justin Bieber), Patrik Berger (Charli XCX) and TMS (Niall Horan).

Jasmine Thompson shares music video for new single “Words”

Jasmine Thompson has shared the music video for her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Words” to her Vevo channel on Thursday (September 28, 2017).

The track was written by Julia Michaels (Gwen Stefani, Rita Ora), Justin Tranter (Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez), Oscar Holter (Adam Lambert, Katy Perry) and Oscar Gorres (Ellie Goulding, Tori Kelly).

Thompson’s current EP “Wonderland” – featuring previous promotional singles “Old Friends,” “Someone’s Somebody” and “Wanna Know Love” – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

The mini-collection boasts further songwriting contributions Maegan Cottone (Era Istrefi), Ross Golan (Charlie Puth), Hayley Warner (Jessica Simpson), Tom Havelock (Sinead Harnett) and Madison Love (Camila Cabello).
