Khalid liberates new promotional single “Stay”

American singer/songwriter Khalid Donnel Robinson, known mononymously as Khalid, has liberated his new promotional single online.

“Stay” – which appears on the original motion picture soundtrack “Uncle Drew” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Scribz Riley alongside Billy Walsh, who has also worked with Alicia Keys (“In Common”), The Weeknd (“True Colors”), Camila Cabello (“Real Friends”) and Emeli Sande (“Starlight”).

Production duties on “Stay” were handled by Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen of Stargate, whose other credits include Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes,” Daya’s “New,” Majid Jordan’s “Body Talk,” Tinashe’s “Faded Love,” Ne-Yo’s “Push Back,” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Almost Love.”

Khalid’s upcoming sophomore album – featuring productions and songwriting contributions from Sam Romans, Hit-Boy, and Darhyl “DJ” Camper – is expected to arrive later this year via RCA Records.

Sam Smith reunites with Stargate for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Sam Smith has reunited with Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen of Stargate for a new collaboration.

The Norwegian duo previously co-wrote and co-produced Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes,” which topped the UK Singles Chart and peaked to number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

Stargate’s credits also include Sabrina Carpenter’s “Almost Love,” Ne-Yo’s “Push Back,” Tinashe’s “No Drama,” Camila Cabello’s “OMG,” Majid Jordan’s “Body Talk,” Zara Larsson’s “Sundown,” and Charli XCX’s “Track 10.”

Smith’s current single “Pray” – which was collectively produced by Timbaland, Steve Fitzmaurice, and Jimmy Napes – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Meanwhile, fans of Stargate’s songwriting and production works should keep an eye on the next projects by Saweetie, Rita Ora, David Guetta, Charli XCX, Jacob Banks, Khalid, and Normani Kordei.

Sabrina Carpenter has released her new single online.

“Almost Love” – which was co-written by Carpenter alongside Nate Campany and Steph Jones – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was also produced by Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen of Stargate, who have contributed to the next projects by Saweetie, Rita Ora, David Guetta, Charli XCX, Jacob Banks, Khalid, and Normani Kordei.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Carpenter’s upcoming third album “Singular” is scheduled to arrive later this year via Hollywood Records.

The follow-up to 2016’s “Evolution” reportedly yields additional contributions from The Futuristics, Alex Hope, Ido Zmishlany, Madison Love, Warren “Oak” Felder, Trevor Brown, Zaire Kaolo, Sasha Sloan, JHart, Ilsey Juber, Oscar Gorres, Delacey, Bastian Langebaek, and James Ghaleb.

The American singer/songwriter christened her third studio collection “Singular” and will release it later this year via Hollywood Records.

Current promotional single “Almost Love” – which was co-written by Nate Campany and Steph Jones alongside the song’s producers Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen of Stargate – will arrive on June 6th via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Rita Ora reunites with the Invisible Men for new collaboration

Rita Ora has reunited with the Invisible Men for a new collaboration.

The British songwriting and production team (composed of Jonathan Shave, George Astasio, and Jason Pebworth) previously teamed up with Ora on DJ Fresh’s “Hot Right Now,” Conor Maynard’s “Better Than You,” and Charles Hamilton’s “New York Raining.”

The Invisible Men are also responsible for Charli XCX’s “5 in the Morning,” Anne-Marie’s “Heavy,” Kara Marni’s “Curve,” Bebe Rexha’s “No Broken Hearts,” Jonas Blue’s “By Your Side,” Sigala’s “Say You Do” and Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy.”

Meanwhile, Ora is scheduled to release her sophomore studio collection – featuring singles “Girls,” “Your Song,” “Anywhere” and “Proud” – later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records UK.

The follow-up to 2012’s “ORA” reportedly yields further contributions from Ritual, Jason Evigan, Emile Haynie, Diztortion, Jimmy Napes, King Henry, Digital Farm Animals, Jake Gosling, Mike Dean, and Stargate.

“5 in the Morning” – which was co-written by XCX alongside Cleo Tighe and Natalie Dunn – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “5 in the Morning” were handled by Jason Pebworth, George Astasio and Jonathan Shave of The Invisible Men, who previously teamed up with XCX on Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” and “Beg for It.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, XCX’s upcoming project is expected to arrive later this year via Asylum Records (UK) and Atlantic Records (US).

The follow-up to 2017’s “Pop 2” reportedly yields additional productions and songwriting contributions from Stargate, Nate Campany, Ali Tamposi, Fred Ball, Noonie Ball, Andrew Watt, and The Stereotypes.
