Cheryl confirms new single “Love Made Me Do It”

British singer/songwriter Cheryl Tweedy, known mononymously as Cheryl, has dubbed “Love Made Me Do It” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming fifth album under Universal Music Group / Polydor Records.

The track – which was written by Cheryl alongside Nicola Roberts, Natasha Bedingfield, Miranda Cooper, Dylan Cooper and The Invisible Men (aka George Astasio, Jason Pebworth, and Jonathan Shave) – will arrive on November 9th via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Cheryl’s next studio collection, which serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “Only Human,” reportedly yields further songwriting contributions and productions from Wayne Wilkins, Chiara Hunter, Kevin Anyaeji, Heidi Rojas, Naughty Boy, Steph Jones, and Gina Kushka.

Lion Babe hit the studio with Joel Compass

Lion Babe have teamed with labelmate Joel Compass on new material.

“Friday night in da studio with @JoelCompass” the experimental pop duo posted to their official Twitter account on January 31, 2015.

It is yet to be known whether the session was intended for a future Joel Compass release or Lion Babe’s upcoming debut album.

Compass’ latest single “Girlfriends” – which was co-penned by Nicola Roberts, Miranda Cooper and Amanda Ghost and produced by The Invisible Men – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

Furthermore, he co-wrote “Kicks” for FKA twigs and provided guest vocals on the track “Coming Up for Air,” taken from Cheryl’s third album “Only Human.”

Meanwhile, Lion Babe’s first studio collection will hit stores later this year via Amanda Ghost’s label Outsiders Recorded Music Limited in partnership with Interscope Records (US) and Polydor Records (UK).

The still-untitled project follows the duo’s self-titled EP, featuring hit singles “Treat Me Like Fire,” “Jungle Lady” and “Jump Hi.”

Among the musicians backing Lion Babe on the keenly-awaited LP are Pharrell Williams (Usher, Gwen Stefani), Dave Sitek (Kelis, Mikky Ekko), Jeff Bhasker (Bruno Mars, Alicia Keys) and Andrew Wyatt (Mark Ronson, Charli XCX).

Joel Compass hits the studio with Autumn Rowe

Joel Compass is making new music with Autumn Rowe.

There’s been no word on what the pair worked on last night, or whether the session was intended for another artist or Compass’ debut album.

Rowe’s extensive resume includes works for Leona Lewis [Island Records], Tanika [Capitol Records], Sinead Harnett [Virgin EMI Records], One Direction [Columbia Records] and Rebecca Ferguson [Syco Music].

Some of her notable songwriting credits include “Sexy Love” by Kylie Minogue [Parlophone Records], “Only When You’re Close” by Zendaya [Hollywood Records] and “30 Days” by The Saturdays [Polydor Records].

Compass, meanwhile, is scheduled to release his first studio collection “Science” in early 2015 via Outsiders Recorded Music Limited / Polydor Records.

Current single “Girlfriends” – helmed by Compass, Nicola Roberts, Amanda Ghost and Miranda Cooper along with Jason Pebworth, George Astasio and Jon Shave of Invisible Men – is now available for download via iTunes (UK).

He also co-wrote and produced “Kicks” for FKA Twigs. The track appears on the British songbird’s debut album, “LP1,” out now via Yung Turks Recordings.

Joel Compass has revealed a new song title from his debut album.

“Dance” is slotted for inclusion on the British singer, songwriter and record producer’s first studio collection “Science.”

The highly-anticipated LP is scheduled for release in early 2015 via Outsiders Recorded Music Limited / Polydor Records.

Current single “Girlfriends” – now available for download via iTunes (UK) – was written by Compass, Nicola Roberts, Amanda Ghost and Miranda Cooper along with Jason Pebworth, George Astasio and Jon Shave of The Stereotypes.

“Science” will boast further collaborations with Starsmith (Ellie Goulding, Charli XCX), Ian Dench (Beyonce, Alesha Dixon), MNEK (Becky Hill, The Saturdays) and Dan Carey (Lily Allen, Kylie Minogue).

In related news, Compass recently co-wrote and produced “Kicks” for fellow British artist FKA twigs. The track is lifted from her debut album, “LP1,” out now via iTunes in partnership with XL Recordings imprint Young Turks.

Joel Compass has debuted the music video for his new single online.

“Girlfriends” is lifted from the British singer/songwriter’s upcoming debut album, “Science,” out on early 2015 via Polydor Records.

The track was written by Joel Compass along with Nicola Roberts, Miranda Cooper and Amanda Ghost, whose credits include Jordin Sparks’ “Tattoo” [RCA Records] and Beyonce’s “Beautiful Liar” [Columbia Records].

Production duties were handled by Jason Pebworth, George Astasio and Jon Shave of The Invisible Men, who are also responsible for Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” [Island Records] and Conor Maynard’s “Can’t Say No” [Parlophone Records].

“Girlfriends” follows previous single “Forgive Me,” which debuted at number thirty four on the UK Singles Chart.
