Monica reunites with Missy Elliot for new album

R&B songstress Monica has reunited with Missy Elliot for her upcoming studio album.

The pair previously teamed up on singles “A Dozen Roses (You Remind Me),” “Everything to Me,” “Until It’s Gone” and “Anything (To Find You).”

Elliot is also responsible for co-writing and producing Whitney Houston’s “Things You Say” [Arista Records], Fantasia’s “Free Yourself” [J Records] and Jazmine Sullivan’s “Need U Bad” [RCA Records].

The as-yet-untitled new album by Monica is expected to be released later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

It serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “New Life,” which debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Kat Dahlia works with Missy Elliot for debut album ‘My Garden’

Singer/songwriter Kat Dahlia has recently collaborated with Missy Elliot for her upcoming as-yet-untitled debut album, “My Garden,” out soon via Sony Music Entertainment / Vested in Culture / Epic Records.

The hip hop legend recently featured on hit singles such as “Without Me” by Fantasia Barrino featuring Kelly Rowland [RCA Records] and “How Ya Doing” by Little Mix [Syco Music / Columbia Records].

She is also known for producing “Holding You Down (Goin’ in Circles)’ by Jazmine Sullivan [J Records], “Everything to Me” by Monica [RCA Records] and “Signs” by Beyonce Knowles [Columbia Records].

In addition to Missy Elliot, the highly-anticipated collection by Dahlia is confirmed to boast further collaborations with Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley (Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown), Salaam Remi (Usher Raymond, Leona Lewis) and Christopher “Tricky” Stewart (Mariah Carey, Tamar Braxton).

“Without Me” – which features Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliot – marks the second promotional single from the R&B artist’s latest album, “Side Effects of You,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The track was co-written by Al Sherrod Lambert, whose credits include “The Way” by Ariana Grande [Universal Music Group / Republic Records] and “Three Words” by Marcus Canty [Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records].

Little Mix have premiered the music video for their new single online.

“How Ya Doin?” – which features Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliot – is taken from the British group’s debut album, “DNA,” which is out now via Sony Music Entertainment / Syco Music / Columbia Records.

The track was co-written by Shaznay Lewis, whose credits include “Reach Out” by Westlife [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records], “Black Heart” by Stooshe [Warner Music Group / Warner Bros. Records] and “Boys” by Mutya Keisha Siobhan [Universal Music Group / Polydor Records].

Monica has teamed up with Miguel Pimentel for her upcoming seventh album, out soon via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The R&B crooner’s sophomore album “Kaleidoscope Dream” – which was released in 2012 via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records – debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

It also delivered three hit singles in the shape of “Adorn,” “Do You” and “How Many Drinks,” as well as productions from Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis, Salaam Remi, Warren “Oak” Felder and Andrew “Pop” Wansel.

As a songwriter, Miguel has teamed up with artists including Alicia Keys [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records], Beyonce Knowles [Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records] and Elle Varner [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records].

Meanwhile, the new collection by Monica – which serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “New Life” – is expected to boast further contributions from Stargate, Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliot, Jamal “Polow Da Don” Jones, Richard “Rico Love” Butler, Michael “Mike WiLL Made It” Williams and James “Jim Jonsin” Scheffer.
