Sigma, Ella Henderson announce new single “Glitterball”

Sigma have announced the details for their new single.

The drum and bass duo – consisting of Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie – christened “Glitterball” as the fourth promotional cut from their debut album.

“Glitterball” – which features vocals from UK songbird Ella Henderson – was written by Wayne Hector (Fleur East, Britney Spears), Jim Eliot (Leona Lewis, Olly Murs) and Mima Stilwell (Will Young, Kylie Minogue).

The track also serves as the follow-up to previous single, the Labrinth-assisted “Higher,” which peaked to number twelve on the UK Singles Chart.

Sigma’s first studio collection, simply entitled “Life,” is scheduled to hit stores and digital outlets later this year under 3 Beat Records.

The highly-anticipated project boasts additional alliances with Fraser T. Smith (Bebe Rexha, Craig David), Ina Wroldsen (Selena Gomez, Britney Spears), MNEK (Madonna, Emeli Sande) and TMS (Ella Eyre, Sinead Harnett).

Rudimental reunite with Ella Eyre, MNEK for new album “We the Generation”

Rudimental have confirmed the details for their upcoming sophomore album.

The British drum and bass band – consisting of members Amir Amor, Leon “DJ Locksmith” Rolle, Kesi Dryden and Piers Agget – christened their next studio collection “We the Generation” and will release it on September 18.

Lead single “Never Let You Go” will be available for download from June 14 via iTunes (UK) in partnership with Major Toms and Asylum Records.

“We The Generation” serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Home,” which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and spawned hit singles including “Feel the Love,” “Not Giving In,” “Waiting All Night” and “Powerless.”

The keenly-awaited project features guest appearances from MNEK (“Common Emotion”), Ella Eyre (“Too Cool”), Lianne La Havas (“Needn’t Speak”), Ed Sheeran (“Bloodstream”) and Sinead Harnett (“Treading on the Water”).

KStewart releases music video for new single “Keeping You Up”

KStewart has released the music video for her new single online.

The British singer and songwriter posted the visual clip for “Keeping You Up” to her official YouTube channel on Monday (May 18, 2015).

“Keeping You Up” – available for download from June 1 – was helmed by UK producer Shift K3Y, who scored a top three single in 2014 with “Touch.”

The track also marks the first promotional cut from KStewart’s upcoming debut album, which will hit stores and digital outlets later this year under her own imprint Cherry Jam Records.

Kate previously featured on TCTS’ single “Games” [MTA Records] and Oliver Heldens’  “Last All Night (Koala)” [Parlophone Records].

She also collaborated with fellow UK musicians including MNEK (Madonna, Kylie Minogue), Becky Hill (Little Mix, Conor Maynard), Joel Compass (Laura Welsh, FKA twigs) and Bondax (Tanya Lacey, Karma Kid).

Little Mix confirm new single “Black Magic”

Little Mix have confirmed the title for their new single.

The British group – consisting of members Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson – christened “Black Magic” as the first promotional cut from their upcoming third album.

Little Mix’s second studio collection, 2013’s “Salute,” peaked to number four on the UK Albums Chart and number six on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

For their third album, Little Mix have reunited with TMS (Labrinth, Ella Eyre), Iain James (Craig David, Emeli Sande), Camille Purcell (Fleur East, Ella Henderson) and Future Cut (Rihanna, Melanie Fiona).

As mentioned in earlier posts, the still-untitled project will hit stores and digital outlets later this year under Syco Music 9(UK) and Columbia Records (US).

Furthermore, Little Mix co-wrote “Pretty Girls” for Britney Spears with Maegan Cottone (Demi Lovato, Olly Murs) and The Invisible Men (DJ Fresh, Rita Ora). The Iggy Azalea-assisted track is now available for download via iTunes.

Melissa Steel recruits Knox Brown for debut album

Melissa Steel has recruited Knox Brown for her upcoming debut album.

Brown is known for producing and co-writing “Whole Damn Year” for Mary J. Blige along with Emeli Sande. The track appears on Blige’s latest album, “The London Sessions,” now available for download via iTunes.

His songwriting and production resume includes additional works for Jess Glynne [Atlantic Records], Sinead Harnett [Virgin EMI], Joel Compass [Polydor], Aloe Blacc [Interscope] and Beyonce [Columbia].

Meanwhile, Steel’s first studio collection is expected to hit stores and digital outlets later this year under Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

Lead single “Kisses for Breakfast” was co-written by Lea-Anna Gallimore and produced by Derryck “Wundah” Cyrus. Commercial performance-wise, the track peaked to number ten on the UK Singles Chart.

Other musicians backing Steel on her debut album are Bless Beats, Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett, MNEK, Tre Jean-Marie, Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis, Carmen Reece, Harmony Samuels, Jessica Agombar, and Chris Loco.

Ava Lily has collaborated with MNEK on new music.

“Today’s session was fun! Thank you @MNEK,” the British singer/songwriter and pianist posted to her Twitter profile on Thursday (April 23, 2015).

MNEK is known for co-writing and producing Karen Harding’s “Say Something” [Capitol Records], Becky Hill’s “Losing” [Parlophone Records], Tanika’s “Bad 4 U” [Virgin EMI Records] and Misha B’s “Homerun” [Relentless Records].

He also contributed to the next projects by Moko [Virgin EMI], Little Mix [Columbia], Tamera Foster [Syco Music], Rudimental [Asylum], Melissa Steel [Atlantic] and Mutya Keisha Siobhan [Polydor].

Meanwhile, Lily is expected to release her debut project later this year under Naughty Records in partnership with Virgin EMI Records.

The still-untitled collection will feature songwriting contributions and productions from Naughty Boy, Two Inch Punch, Josh Record, Iain James, Jim Eliot, and Mojam (Mustafa Omer, James Murray).

Karen Harding hits the studio with Evan Bogart, Emanuel Kiriakou for debut album

British singer/songwriter Karen Harding has recorded new material with Evan “Kidd” Bogart and Emanuel Kiriakou for her upcoming debut album.

Bogart recently co-wrote “Ghosttown” for Madonna along with Jason Evigan and Sean Douglas. The Billboard-produced track is lifted from the artist’s latest album, “Rebel Heart,” out now via Interscope Records.

Meanwhile, Kiriakou’s production and songwriting resume includes works for Demi Lovato (“Let it Go”), Selena Gomez (“Who Says”), Bridgit Mendler (“Ready or Not”) and David Archuleta (“Crush”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Harding is expected to release her first studio collection later this year under Method Records and Capitol Records.

Lead single “Say Something” – featuring songwriting and production by fellow UK artist MNEK – peaked to number seven on the UK Singles Chart.

Other musicians backing Harding on the keenly-awaited album are Diane Warren (Ciara, Leona Lewis), Fraser T. Smith (Kwabs, Sam Smith), Camille Purcell (Little Mix, Rita Ora) and Jimmy Napes (Disclosure, Ellie Goulding).

British singer/songwriter Becky Hill wrote new music with Karen Poole.

It is yet to be known whether the session was intended for another artist or Hill’s upcoming debut album under Parlophone Records.

Recent songwriting credits by Poole include Giorgio Morodor’s “Right Here, Right Now” f/ Kylie Minogue [RCA], Say Lou Lou’s “Nothing But a Heartbeat” [Columbia] and Lily Allen’s “As Long As I Got You” [Parlophone].

Furthermore, the former Alisha’s Attic member teamed with top producers Greg Kurstin (Sia, Britney Spears), Steve Mac (Jess Glynne, Charli XCX), Francis “Eg” White (Adele, Celine Dion) and Chris Loco (Emeli Sande, Rita Ora).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Hill’s first studio collection will be released later this year. Current single “Losing” – which was co-written and produced by MNEK – is now available for download via iTunes.

For the still-untitled LP, the “Caution to the Wind” star enlisted Jarrad Rogers (Demi Lovato, Ella Eyre), Bebe Rexha (Tinashe, Selena Gomez), Tom Aspaul (Karen Harding, AlunaGeorge) and Two Inch Punch (Miguel, Sam Smith).

Chris Loco hints at new collaboration with Javeon

Chris Loco has hinted at a new collaboration with Javeon.

“Sick day w @Javeon,” the British record producer and songwriter posted to his Twitter account on Wednesday (March 25, 2015).

Loco recently co-wrote and co-produced “Nothing but a Heartbeat” for Say Lou Lou. The Karen Poole-assisted track appears on the pop duo’s debut album, “Lucid Dreaming,” out on April 6 via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

His other songwriting and production credits include Professor Green’s “Lullaby” f/ Tori Kelly [Virgin EMI Records], Raleigh Ritchie’s “Stronger Than Ever” [Columbia Records] and Rita Ora’s “Shine Ya Light” [Columbia Records].

He also contributed to the next projects by Raye [Polydor Records], Elijah Blake [Def Jam Recordings], Kwabs [Atlantic Records], Ella Eyre [Virgin EMI Records], Bipolar Sunshine [Polydor Records] and Emeli Sande [Capitol Records].

Meanwhile, Javeon’s first studio collection is expected to be released later this year under 70HZ Recordings in partnership with PMR Records.

Karen Harding has enlisted the songwriting and production services of Camille Purcell and Fraser T. Smith for her debut album.

Purcell is known for co-writing Ella Henderson’s “Glow” [Syco Music], Cheryl’s “Throwback” [Polydor Records], The Saturdays’ “What About Us” [Fascination Records] and Little Mix’s “Nothing Feels Like You” [Syco Music].

Meanwhile, Smith’s production resume includes works for Mikky Ekko (“Time”), Katy B (“Still”), Example (“Kids Again”), Kimbra (“Goldmine”), Lily Allen (“Holding On to Nothing”) and Sam Smith (“Not in that Way”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Harding will release her first studio collection later this year under Method Records and Capitol Records.

Current single “Say Something” – which was co-written and produced by MNEK – is now available for download via iTunes.

Other songwriters backing Harding on the still-untitled project are Chelcee Grimes (Kylie Minogue, Conor Maynard), Tom Aspaul (Becky Hill, AlunaGeorge) and Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett (Tamera Foster, Melissa Steel).
