Monica reunites with Jermaine Dupri for new album

R&B songbird Monica has reunited with Jermaine Dupri on new material for her upcoming studio album.

Dupri previously co-wrote and produced Monica’s hit singles “U Should’ve Known Better,” “The First Night” and “Love All Over Me.”

Other notable credits by Dupri include Mariah Carey’s “You Don’t Know What to Do” [Def Jam Recordings], Whitney Houston’s “Never Give Up” [RCA Records] and Janet Jackson’s “Call on Me” [Virgin Records].

Meanwhile, the highly-anticipated new album by Monica is expected to be released later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

It serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “New Life,” which debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and delivered singles “Anything (To Find You),” “Until It’s Gone,” “It All Belongs to Me” and “Without You.”

R&B songstress Monica has reunited with Missy Elliot for her upcoming studio album.

The pair previously teamed up on singles “A Dozen Roses (You Remind Me),” “Everything to Me,” “Until It’s Gone” and “Anything (To Find You).”

Elliot is also responsible for co-writing and producing Whitney Houston’s “Things You Say” [Arista Records], Fantasia’s “Free Yourself” [J Records] and Jazmine Sullivan’s “Need U Bad” [RCA Records].

The as-yet-untitled new album by Monica is expected to be released later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

It serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “New Life,” which debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

R&B songstress Monica has reunited with Bryan Michael Cox for her upcoming seventh album, which serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “New Life.”

The pair previously teamed up on tracks such as “I’m Back,” “You Should’ve Known Better,” “Too Hood,” “If You Were the Girl,” “Searching,” “Hell No (Leave Home),” “Still Standing (featuring Ludacris),” “Love All Over Me,” “Superman,” “Lesson Learned” and “Amazing.”

He also confirmed songwriting and production placements on the next projects by Usher [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records], Mariah Carey [Universal Music Group / Island Def Jam Recordings] and Tamar Braxton [Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records].

Meanwhile, the new collection by Monica is expected to yield further collaborations with Jim Jonsin (Brandy, Alexandra Burke), Claude Kelly (Tamia, Faith Evans), Miguel Pimentel (Elle Varner, Alicia Keys), Rico Love (Ciara, Sean Paul), Mike WiLL Made It (Ciara, Kelly Rowland), Jermaine Dupri (Ashanti, Deborah Cox) and Polow Da Don (Jamie Foxx, Chris Brown).

Monica has teamed up with Miguel Pimentel for her upcoming seventh album, out soon via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The R&B crooner’s sophomore album “Kaleidoscope Dream” – which was released in 2012 via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records – debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

It also delivered three hit singles in the shape of “Adorn,” “Do You” and “How Many Drinks,” as well as productions from Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis, Salaam Remi, Warren “Oak” Felder and Andrew “Pop” Wansel.

As a songwriter, Miguel has teamed up with artists including Alicia Keys [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records], Beyonce Knowles [Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records] and Elle Varner [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records].

Meanwhile, the new collection by Monica – which serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “New Life” – is expected to boast further contributions from Stargate, Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliot, Jamal “Polow Da Don” Jones, Richard “Rico Love” Butler, Michael “Mike WiLL Made It” Williams and James “Jim Jonsin” Scheffer.
