Carly Rae Jepsen reunites with Evan “Kidd” Bogart for a new collaboration

Carly Rae Jepsen has reunited with Evan “Kidd” Bogart for a new collaboration.

The American music executive, television producer, music publisher and songwriter previously co-penned “Black Heart” for Jepsen alongside the song’s producer Greg Wells. The track appears on Jepsen’s 2015 album, “E.MO.TION,” which peaked to number sixteen on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Other notable credits by Bogart include ZZ Ward’s “Help Me Mama,” Lizzo’s “Coconut Oil,” Hey Violet’s “Pure,” Fleur East’s “Love Me or Leave Me Alone,” Madonna’s “Ghosttown,” Britney Spears’ “Love Me Down,” Leona Lewis’ “Happy,” Jason Derulo’s “It Girl,” Rihanna’s “S.O.S,” Rachel Platten’s “Hey Hey Hallelujah,” and Demi Lovato’s “I Hate You, Don’t Leave Me.”

Jepsen, on the other hand, is expected to release her fourth studio collection later this year via School Boy Records and Interscope Records.

Other songwriters expected to appear on the still-untitled collection are Charlotte “Charlie XCX” Aitchison (Camila Cabello), Amanda “MNDR” Warner (AlunaGeorge), Jonnali “Noonie Bao” Parmenius (Dua Lipa), Phoebe Ryan (The Chainsmokers), Simon Wilcox (Nick Jonas), Tobias Jesso Jr. (Sam Smith), Justin Tranter (Ellie Goulding) and Nathaniel “Nate” Campany (Tori Kelly).

Meanwhile, fans of Bogart’s songwriting works should keep an eye on the next projects by acts and artists including DAKOTA, Bethany Noel Mota, Karen Harding, Ella Henderson, Georgia Ku, Jess Glynne, Kyla Smith, Ella Eyre, Rudimental, MKTO, Stanaj, and Robert DeLong.

Rachel Platten has teamed with Scott Harris for a new collaboration.

The American multi-platinum songwriter, producer, and musician is known for his work with Shawn Mendes (“Treat You Better”), The Chainsmokers (“Don’t Let Me Down”), Naughty Boy (“Should’ve Been Me”), Melanie Martinez (“Tag, You’re It”), Lost Kings (“Phone Down”), Sabrina Carpenter (“White Flag”), Niykee Heaton (“Villa”) and Tiesto & Oliver Heldens (“Right Song”).

Harris’ resume boasts additional collaborations with fellow songwriters including Emily Warren, Anne Preven, Madison Emiko Love, Audra Mae, Josh Grant, Ido Zmishlany, Teddy Geiger, Martin Terefe, Geoffrey Warburton, Brian Kierulf, Matt Squire, Joe London, AMMO, Drew Pearson, and Mac & Phil.

Meanwhile, Platten is expected to release her next studio collection later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

British singer/songwriter Charlotte OC – real name Charlotte O’Connor – has liberated her first studio collection online.

“Careless People” – featuring singles “Darkest Hour,” “Shell” and “Medicine Man” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The highly-anticipated project boasts productions from Tim Anderson (BANKS), Jon Levine (Bebe Rexha), Chris Spilfogel (Halsey), Daniel Nigro (Sky Ferreira), Trevor Lawrence Jr. (Bruno Mars) and Linda Perry (Alicia Keys).

Album songwriters include Laura “LP” Pergolizzi (Rihanna), Sean Foreman (Kesha), Jarrad Rogers (Betty Who), Sacha Skarbek (Lana Del Rey), Francis “Eg” White (Mary J. Blige), Nate Campany (Ellie Goulding), Daniel Weber (POWERS), Tom Aspaul (Liza Owen) and Martin Sjolie (Maria Mena).

Charlotte OC releases acoustic rendition of “Darkest Hour”

British singer/songwriter Charlotte OC has released a new song online.

The acoustic rendition of “Darkest Hour” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by Charlotte OC alongside Jarrad Rogers (Demi Lovato, Rita Ora) and Sean Foreman (Kesha, Ariana Grande).

Production duties on “Darkest Hour” were handled by Tim Anderson, whose other credits include BANKS’ “Mind Games,” Sam Sparrow’s “Yellow Orange Rays,” Halsey’s “Hurricane,” and Solange’s “Sleep in the Park.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Charlotte OC will release her sophomore studio collection “Careless People” on March 31 via Harvest Records.

The highly-anticipated project delivers further songwriters contributions from Tom Aspaul (Celeste Waite), Andrew Jackson (Ellie Goulding), Nate Campany (Tori Kelly), Daniel Nigro (Sky Ferreira) and Laura “LP” Pergolizzi (Becky Hill).

American singer/songwriter MNDR (real name Amanda Warner) is responsible for co-writing Charli XCX’s “Babygirl,” Jake Miller’s “Superhuman,” AlunaGeorge’s “Mean What I Mean,” Flume’s “Like Water,” Kylie Minogue’s “Les Sex,” Brooke Candy’s “Rubber Band Stacks,” and Sean Paul’s “Legacy.”

Meanwhile, Raisen’s songwriting/production resume boasts works for Charli XCX (“London Queen”), Sky Ferreira (“Love in Stereo”), Santigold (Who I Thought You Were), Lawrence Rothman (“H”), MS MR (“Criminals), Theophilus London (“Why Even Try?”), Kim Gordon (“Murdered Out”), Ariel Pink (“Picture Me Gone”), Little Boots (“Satellite”) and Angel Olsen (“Shut Up Kiss Me”).

Ellie Goulding pens song for Lea Michele’s new album “Places”

Ellie Goulding has penned a new song for fellow recording artist Lea Michele.

“Heavenly” is earmarked for inclusion on Michele’s sophomore studio collection, “Places,” which will arrive on April 28 via Columbia Records.

Goulding wrote the song with production duo Richard “Biff” Stannard and Ash Howes, who previously teamed up with the British singer/songwriter on “Lights,” which peaked to number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, and “Ritual,” taken from the artist’s 2012’s album, “Halcyon.”

Additionally, Goulding co-wrote Diana Vickers’ “Remake Me + You,” “Jumping into Rivers” and “Notice” alongside UK producer Guy Sigsworth.

The “Love Me Like You Do” star’s upcoming fourth album – featuring productions and songwriting contributions from Noel Zancanella, Justin Tranter, Nate Campany, RAYE, Andrew Jackson, Ilsey Juber, and BloodPop – is expected to hit stores and online outlets later this year via Polydor Records,

On the other hand, Michele’s current promotional single “Anything’s Possible” – which was co-written by Maureen “MoZella” McDonald and Timothy “Tim” Myers – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.
