Jasmine V collaborates with Benny Cassette for debut album?

Jasmine V has collaborated with Benny Cassette on new material.

“No tracks, just songs. @JasmineVillegas @MichahFoneCheck @WattSix” Cassette posted to his Instagram page on Tuesday (January 27, 2015).

Some of his recent credits include Miguel’s “NWA” f/ Kurupt [RCA Records], Stacy Barthe’s “Live for Today” f/ Common [Homeschool / Motown Records] and Mary Lambert’s “Secrets” [Capitol Records].

The record producer and songwriter – real name Benedetto Rotondi – also contributed to forthcoming releases by Elle Varner [RCA Records], Sevyn Streeter [Atlantic Records] and Keri Hilson [Interscope Records].

Meanwhile, Jasmine V is expected to release her full-length debut album later this year via Universal Music Group imprint Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project follows 2014’s EP “That’s Me Right There,” which features the Kendrick Lamar-featuring / Harmony Samuels-produced title track as well as the RoccStar-assisted “I Love Your Crazy.”

Among the musicians backing Jasmine V on the highly-anticipated LP are Ester Dean (Trey Songz, Britney Spears), Soundz (Usher, K. Michelle), Ne-Yo (Ciara, Nicole Scherzinger) and Eric Bellinger (Chris Brown, Teyana Taylor).

Ne-Yo releases new album “Non-Fiction”

Ne-Yo has released his new album online.

“Non-Fiction” – featuring hit singles “Money Can’t Buy,” “She Don’t Know” and “Coming with You” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Compound Entertainment and Motown Records.

The keenly-anticipated project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “R.E.D.,” which peaked to number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Among the musicians backing Ne-Yo on “Non-Fiction” are Shea Taylor, Jesse “Corparal” Wilson, Stephan Moccio, Darhyl “DJ” Camper, Stargate, Dr. Luke, Cirkut, Key Wane, David Guetta and Giorgio Tuinfort.

On the songwriting front, the “So Sick” star confirmed placements on the next albums by Rihanna [Roc Nation], Keri Hilson [Interscope Records], Sevyn Streeter [Atlantic Records] and Gabi Wilson [RCA Records].

Ne-Yo has unleashed the music video for his new single online.

The singer, songwriter and record producer posted the Colin Tilley-directed clip for “Coming with You” to his Vevo page on Wednesday (January 14, 2015).

“Coming with You” was helmed by Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Storleer Eriksen of Stargate, who previously teamed with Ne-Yo on singles including “So Sick,” Miss Independent,” “Beautiful Monster” and “Sexy Love.”

The track appears on the artist’s upcoming studio collection, “Non-Fiction,” which will hit stores and digital outlets on January 27 via Motown Records.

Other album contributors include Jesse “Corporal” Wilson (K. Michelle, Celine Dion), Shea Taylor (Beyonce, Lianne La Havas), Darhyl Camper (Elle Varner, Chris Brown), Dr. Luke (Usher, Nicki Minaj) and Cirkut (Rihanna, Katy Perry).

Rihanna recruits Sam Smith for new album?

Sam Smith has hinted at a new collaboration with Rihanna.

“I’m personally very excited for Rihanna’s album. I know some stuff about that record that no-one knows” the British singer/songwriter stated in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Smith – real name Samuel Frederick Smith – recently co-wrote four songs on Mary J. Blige’s latest CD, “The London Sessions.” The songs in question are “Right Now,” “Nobody But You,” “Therapy” and “Not Loving You.”

His debut album “In the Lonely Hour” is now available for download via PMR Records and Capitol Records. The platinum-selling project includes singles “Money on My Mind,” “Stay with Me” and “I’m Not the Only One.”

Meanwhile, Rihanna’s next studio collection will be released later this year via Roc Nation in partnership with SRP Records.

The highly-anticipated project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Unapologetic,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Other songwriters previously linked to the new album, tentatively entitled “R8,” are Natalia Kills, Elijah Blake, Kiesza, James Fauntleroy, Emeli Sande, Charli XCX, Ne-Yo, Anjulie Persaud, Kelly Sheehan, and Ester Dean.

On the production front, Rihanna has reportedly teamed with Stargate, Naughty Boy, DJ Mustard, Alex Da Kid, Jeff Bhasker, Glass John, and Tiago Carvalho.

Ne-Yo has confirmed plans to shoot the music video for his new single.

“Coming With You” is lifted from the singer, songwriter and record producer’s sixth album, “Non-Fiction,” out on January 27 via Motown Records.

Production duties on “Coming With You” were handled by Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Storleer Eriksen of Stargate, who previously teamed with Ne-Yo on hit singles including “So Sick,” “Sexy Love,” “Miss Independent” and “Closer.”

Award winning music video director Colin Tilley will be responsible for the song’s video treatment. His resume includes works for Nicki Minaj (“Anaconda”), Cheryl (“Crazy Stupid Love”) and Jason Derulo (“Talk Dirty”).

Meanwhile, fans of Ne-Yo’s poignant songwriting should keep an eye on the next projects by Rihanna [Roc Nation], Keri Hilson [Interscope Records], Sevyn Streeter [Atlantic Records] and Gabi Wilson [RCA Records].

The singer, songwriter and record producer posted the lyric-based visual clip for “Coming With You” to his official Vevo page on Monday (December 15, 2014).

“Coming With You” is lifted from the artist’s sixth album, “Non-Fiction,” out on January 27, 2015 via iTunes in partnership with Motown Records.

The track follows previous promotional cut “She Knows,” which was produced by Dr. Luke (Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry) and Cirkut (Usher, Miley Cyrus).

Ne-Yo’s last studio collection, 2012’s “R.E.D,” peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned hit singles “Lazy Love,” “Forever Now” and “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself).”
