Charli XCX recruits Rita Ora for new single “Doing It”

Charli XCX has debuted her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for the “Doing It” to her official SoundCloud page on Thursday (January 08, 2015).

“Doing It” was co-written by Charli XCX along with Noonie Bao and Matthew Burns. Production duties were handled by Ariel Rechtshaid and Jarrad Rogers, who also teamed with XCX on Neon Jungle track “So Alive.”

The new version of “Doing It” – featuring vocals from fellow British artist Rita Ora – is slotted for inclusion on the UK version of XCX’s latest album, “Sucker,” out on February 16 via Warner Music Group / Asylum Records.

Other musicians backing the “Boom Clap” star on “Sucker” are Stargate (Usher, Jennifer Lopez), Cashmere Cat (Tinashe, Ariana Grande), Benny Blanco (Ciara, Jordin Sparks) and Greg Kurstin (Shakira, Kelly Clarkson).

As mentioned in earlier posts, XCX – real name Charlotte Aitchison – has contributed to the third CD by Gwen Stefani. The still-untitled project will be released later this year via Mad Love Records and Interscope Records.

Rita Ora works with Jarrad Rogers for new album

British singer/songwriter Rita Ora has worked with Jarrad “Jaz” Rogers on songs for her upcoming sophomore album.

The Australian hitmaker recently co-wrote and produced “Doing It” for Charli XCX along with Ariel Rechtshaid, Noonie Bao and Matthew Burns. The tracks appears on the artist’s second studio collection, “Sucker,” out now via iTunes.

He is also responsible for Ella Eyre’s “If I Go” [Virgin EMI Records], Rebecca Fergusson’s “I Hope” [Syco Music], Icona Pop’s “In the Stars” [Big Beat Records] and Neon Jungle’s “So Alive” [RCA Records].

Meanwhile, the “Grateful” star will release her next studio collection in early 2015 via Roc Nation and Columbia Records.

The still-untitled project follows 2012’s “ORA,” which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and spawned four hit singles in the shape of “R.I.P.,” “How We Do (Party),” “Shine Ya Light” and “Radioactive.”

In addition to Rogers, the highly-anticipated project reportedly boasts further contributions from Diplo, Priscilla Renea, Tommy Brown, Victoria Monet, DJ Mustard, Camille Purcell, Devonte Hynes, and Chantal Kreviazuk.

Neon Jungle premiere music video for new single “Can’t Stop the Love”

Neon Jungle have premiered the music video for their new single online.

The British quartet posted the visual clip for “Can’t Stop the Love” – featuring Snob Scrilla – to their official Vevo page on Tuesday (November 04, 2014).

“Can’t Stop the Love” was written by Cassie Davis and Sean Ray along with Wayne Wilkins, whose resume includes works for Cheryl (“Crazy Stupid Love”), Beyonce (“Sweet Dreams”) and Leona Lewis (“Take a Bow”).

The track is taken from Neon Jungle’s debut studio collection “Welcome to the Jungle,” which is now available for download via RCA Records.

Other musicians backing Neon Jungle on the album are MNEK (Rudimental, Little Mix), Charli XCX (Iggy Azalea, Gwen Stefani), Jarrad Rogers (Becky Hill, Ella Eyre) and Ana Diaz (Britney Spears, Agnes Carlsson).

Charli XCX reunites with Justin Raisen for new song “London Queen”

Charli XCX has unveiled a new song online.

“London Queen” is lifted from the British singer/songwriter’s sophomore album, “Sucker,” out on December 16 via Neon Gold / Atlantic Records.

Production duties on “London Queen” were handled by Justin Raisen, who also teamed up with XCX on “True Romance” cuts “Nuclear Seasons,” “Take My Hand,” “Stay Away” and “Black Roses.”

As previously reported, “Sucker” yields additional alliances with Stargate (Tinashe, Bebe Rexha), Benny Blanco (Miguel, Ed Sheeran), Cashmere Cat (Maroon 5, Ariana Grande) and Robopop (Lana Del Rey, Sean Paul).

XCX – born Charlotte Aitchison – also confirmed songwriting placements on the next projects by Rihanna [SRP / Roc Nation Records], Gwen Stefani [Mad Love / Interscope Records] and Sky Ferreira [Capitol Records].

Some of her notable credits include “I Love It” by Icona Pop [Big Beat / Atlantic Records], “So Alive” by Neon Jungle [RCA Records] and “OctaHate” by Ryn Weaver [Friends Keep Secrets / Interscope Records].

Karen Harding has debuted her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Say Something” to her official SoundCloud page on Friday (August 22, 2014).

The track marks the first promotional single from the artist’s upcoming project on Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

It was co-written and produced by MNEK, who is also responsible for Neon Jungle’s “London Rain” [RCA Records], Gorgon City’s “Here for You” [Virgin EMI Records] and Clean Bandit’s “Cologne” [Warner Bros. Records].

Madonna recruits MNEK for new album

MNEK has been added to the list of contributors for Madonna’s next album.

The British singer, songwriter and record producer – born Uzoechi Emenike – previously worked with the likes of Rudimental [Atlantic Records], Gorgon City [Virgin EMI Records] and Clean Bandit [Warner Bros. Records].

Some of his notable credits include Kylie Minogue’s “Feels So Good” [Parlophone Records], Neon Jungle’s “London Rain” [RCA Records] and The Saturdays’ “What Are You Waiting For?” [Polydor Records].

Meanwhile, the highly-anticipated new album by Madonna is expected to be released later this year via Universal Music Group / Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “MDNA,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

It is confirmed to yield further collaborations with Diplo (Sia, Chris Brown), Toby Gad (Beyonce, John Legend), Ariel Rechtshaid (HAIM, Sky Ferreira) and Maureen “Mozella” McDonald (Miley Cyrus, Tessanne Chin).

MNEK has premiered the music video for his new single online.

“Wrote a Song About You” marks the second promotional single from the British singer, songwriter, and record producer’s upcoming debut album on Universal Music Group / Virgin EMI Records.

The track follows previous release “Every Little Word,” which peaked at number thirty six on the UK R&B Singles Chart. Other songs slotted for inclusion on the still-untitled LP are “Don’t Call This Love” and “In Your Clouds.”

Fans of MNEK’s songwriting and production work should look out for the next releases by Becky Hill [Parlophone Records], Joel Compass [Polydor Records] and Neon Jungle [RCA Records].
