Jojo hits the studio with Malay for new collaboration

American singer/songwriter Joanna Levesque, known mononymously as Jojo, has teamed up with Malay for a new collaboration.

The Grammy award-winning record producer and songwriter (born James Ho) recently helmed “About You” for Capitol recording artist Fletcher alongside Kara DioGuardi, Ingrid Andress, Andrew Jacob Pruis, and Derrick Sutherland.

Malay’s resume boasts additional works with Sam Smith (“Midnight Train”), Frank Ocean (“Nikes”), Zayn Malik (“It’s You”), Alessia Cara (“Wild Things”), Lorde (“Sober”), Tori Kelly (“Talk”), Alicia Keys (“One Thing”), Lykke Li (“Deep End”), Goapele (“Break of Dawn”) and John Legend (“Green Light”).

In addition to contributing to Louise’s upcoming album, “Heavy Love,” Jojo is expected to release her fourth studio collection later this year via her own imprint Clover Music in partnership with Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project, which follows 2016’s “Mad Love,” reportedly delivers further productions from Doc McKinney, Jamie Hartman, Stint, Oak Felder, Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox, D’Mile, Chris Loco, Kyle Shearer, Lido, Digital Farm Animals, Big Taste, ADP, Nick Monson, and Jussifer.

Anne-Marie hits the studio with Emily Warren, Chris Loco for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Anne-Marie has teamed up with Emily Warren and Chris Loco for a new collaboration.

Recent songwriting credits by Warren include Little Mix’s “No More Sad Songs,” Charli XCX’s “Boys,” Dua Lipa’s “New Rules,” Molly Kate Kestner’s “Good Die Young,” Sean Paul’s “No Lie,” Alessia Cara’s “The Other Side,” Noah Cyrus’ “Stay Together,” and Naughty Boy’s “Should’ve Been Me.”

She has also contributed to the next projects by Sigrid, Liam Payne, Dua Lipa, Sigala, Ella Eyre, Tori Kelly, David Guetta, Shakira, Grace Mitchell, Dagny, Liza Owen, Phoebe Ryan, and Ella Henderson.

Meanwhile, Loco is responsible for co-writing and producing Raleigh Ritchie’s “Stronger than Ever,” Emeli Sande’s “Garden,” Kevin Garrett’s “Little Bit of You,” Justine Skye’s “U Don’t Know,” Etta Bond’s “Kiss My Girlfriend,” Sinead Harnett’s “Rather Be with You,” and Professor Green’s “Lullaby.”

Louisa Johnson registers new song title with ASCAP

Louisa Johnson has registered a new song title with ASCAP – The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

“Feeling It” was written by Alexandra “Ali” Tamposi (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato), Chloe Angelides (Lily Allen, Jason Derulo) and Steven “Steve Mac” McCutcheon (Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora).

The track is slotted for inclusion on Johnson’s upcoming debut album under Simon Cowell’s Sony imprint Syco Music.

Current promotional single “Best Behaviour” – which was written by Shungudzo “Alexandra Govere” Kuyimba and Daniel “Danny” Parker alongside the song’s producers Thomas “Froe” Barnes, Benjamin Kohn and Peter “Merf” Kelleher of TMS – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

For her first studio collection, Johnson has also worked with producers Tobias “Toby” Gad (Madonna), Matthew “BURNS” Burns (Kacy Hill), Dallas Austin (Ciara), Tre Jean-Marie (Mabel McVey), Arnthor Birgisson (RAYE), Joseph “Joe” Janiak (Britney Spears) and Nicholas “Digital Farm Animals” Gale (Little Mix).

Fifth Harmony have worked with Captain Cuts for their upcoming album.

The LA-based songwriting and production trio – composed of Ryan McMahon, Ben Berger, and Ryan Rabin – are known for helming tracks performed by artists/acts including Bebe Rexha (“I Got You”), Halsey (“Roman Holiday”), Grouplove (“Tongue Tied”), Sabrina Carpenter (“Two Young Hearts”), Tove Lo (“Crave”) and Walk the Moon (“Shut Up and Dance”).

Their promotional single “Love Like We Used To” – featuring guest vocals from Nateur – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Meanwhile, Fifth Harmony – composed of Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui – are scheduled to release the follow-up to 2016’s “7/27” later this year via Syco Music and Epic Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers additional productions from Jason Evigan (Charlie Puth), Gian Stone (Rachel Platten), Digital Farm Animals (Liam Payne), Shama “Sak Pase” Joseph (Rihanna), Fredrik “Fredro” Odesjo (Stanaj) and The Monsters & Strangerz (Nick Jonas).

Fifth Harmony reunites with Jason Evigan, the Monsters & Strangerz for new album

Fifth Harmony have reunited with Jason Evigan and The Monsters & Strangerz for their third studio collection.

Evigan initially co-wrote “Miss Movin’ On” alongside regular collaborators Lindy Robbins, Julia Michaels and Mitch Allan. The track peaked to number twenty-seven on the US Billboard Mainstream Top 40 Chart.

The former vocalist of indie rock band After Midnight Proejct also co-wrote and co-produced Fifth Harmony’s “Leave My Heart Out of This” with The Monsters & Strangerz. as with “Miss Movin’ On,” “Leave My Heart Out of This” appears on Fifth Harmony’s 2013 EP, “Better Together.”

Other songs that were collectively produced by Evigan and The Monsters & Strangerz are Demi Lovato’s “Never Been Hurt,” Selena Gomez’s “Forget Forever,” Zendaya’s “Butterflies,” Maroon 5’s “It Was Always You,” Pentatonix’s “on My Way Home,” Pitbull’s “Fun,” and Jason Derulo’s “Cheyenne.”

Meanwhile, Fifth Harmony – composed of Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui – are scheduled to release the follow-up to 2016’s “7/27” later this year via Syco Music and Epic Records.

Louisa Johnson has liberated her new single online.

“Best Behaviour” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Johnson alongside Shungudzo Kuyimba (Little Mix, Ella Henderson) and Daniel “Danny” Parker (Shawn Mendes, James Blunt).

Production duties on “Best Behaviour” were handled by Thomas “Froe” Barnes, Benjamin Kohn and Peter “Merf” Kelleher of TMS, who reportedly worked on the next projects by Craig David, Taya, Nick Jonas, Ellie Goulding, Madcon, Fleur East, Mollie King, Aloe Blacc, The Vamps, Imani Williams, Era Istrefi, Dua Lipa, Liv Dawson, RAYE, Paloma Faith, Hey Violet, and Bebe Rexha.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Johnson’s debut studio collection – featuring previous promotional single “So Good” – will arrive later this year via Simon Cowell’s Sony imprint Syco Music.
