Sean Douglas hints at new collaboration with Chromeo

Sean Douglas has hinted at a new collaboration with Chromeo.

“Joined a band today. @funky.larry, @peethugg said you’d be cool with it,” Douglas posted to Instagram on Wednesday (October 26, 2016).

The hit songwriter’s resume boasts works with Thomas Rhett (“Die a Happy Man”), Madonna (“Ghosttown”), Nick Jonas (“Levels”), Jason Derulo (“Get Ugly”), Chris Brown (“Zero”) and Demi Lovato (“Heart Attack”).

Douglas also contributed to the next releases by Ella Eyre [Virgin EMI], Bebe Rexha [Warner Brothers], Enrique Iglesias [Republic], David Guetta [Parlophone] and Icona Pop [TEN Music Group].

Meanwhile, Chromeo – consisting of David “Dave 1” Macklovitch and Patrick “P-Thugg” Gemayel – are expected to drop their new album in 2017 via Last Gang Records / Big Beat Records / Atlantic Records.

The follow-up to 2014’s “White Women” reportedly delivers productions from Jason Evigan (Ella Henderson), Digital Farm Animals (Noah Cyrus), Ian Kirkpatrick (Andy Grammer) and MNEK (Sabina Ddumba).

On the songwriting front, Chromeo have teamed up with Ross Golan (Selena Gomez), Andrew Jackson (John Legend), Priscilla Renea (Rihanna), Scott Harris (Shawn Mendes), Ammar Malik (Ariana Grande) and Lindy Robbins (Brandy).

Canadian electro-funk duo Chromeo – consisting of members David “Dave 1” Macklovitch and Patrick “P-Thugg” Gemayel – have enlisted Jason Evigan for their upcoming album.

Evigan recently co-penned and / or produced songs for Nick Jonas (“Champagne Problems”), Jon Bellion (“Morning in America”), Demi Lovato (“Old Ways”), and Chantal Kreviazuk (“Meant for This”).

He also contributed to the next projects by Ella Henderson [Syco], Britney Spears [RCA], Bebe Rexha [Warner Brothers], Enrique Iglesias [Republic], David Guetta [Parlophone], Kiiara [Atlantic], and Ella Eyre [Virgin EMI].

Meanwhile, Chromeo – consisting of members David “Dave 1” Macklovitch and Patrick “P-Thugg” Gemayel – are expected to release the follow-up to 2014’s “White Women” later this year through Last Gang Records in partnership with Big Beat Records and Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled project features further productions and songwriting contributions from Digital Farm Animals, Andrew Jackson, Ian Kirkpatrick, Priscilla Renea, Ross Golan, and MNEK.

Louisa Johnson taps Marlon Roudette, Digital Farm Animals for debut album

Louisa Johnson has tapped Digital Farm Animals for her upcoming debut album.

The British record producer and songwriter – real name Nick Gale – previously worked with the likes of Rudimental (“All That Love”), Dua Lipa (“Be the One”) and Alex Newell (“Devilish”).

His new single “Wanna Know” – featuring R. Kelly – is now available for download via Simco Limited and Tim & Danny Music.

Meanwhile, Johnson is scheduled to release her first studio collection later this year through Simon Cowell’s Sony imprint Syco Music.

Other album contributors include Toby Gad (Madonna), Ali Tamposi (Kelly Clarkson), BURNS (Charli XCX), Chloe Angelides (Tinashe), MoZella (Charlie Puth) and Priscilla Renea (Demi Lovato).

Dua Lipa has unleashed the artwork for her new single online.

The British singer-songwriter christened “Hotter Than Hell” as the fourth promotional cut from her upcoming debut album.

“Hotter Than Hell” was written by Dua Lipa along with Adam Midgely (Frances), Gerard O’Connell (Kylie Minogue) and Tommy Baxter (Olly Murs).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Dua Lipa will release her first studio collection – featuring previous singles “New Love,” “Be the One” and “Last Dance” – later this year through Warner Brothers Records.

Other album contributors include Greg Wells (Adele), JHart (Keith Urban), Two Inch Punch (Sam Smith), Ed Drewett (Craig David), BloodPop (Madonna), Noonie Bao (Charli XCX) and Digital Farm Animals (John Newman).

Taya has recorded new music with Chris Loco.

The British record producer and songwriter – real name Christopher Crowhurst – recently helmed “Stronger Than Ever” and “Cowards” for Raleigh Ritchie. Both tracks appear on the Ritchie’s debut album, “You’re a Man Now, Boy.”

Other notable by Loco include Rita Ora’s “Shine Ya Light” [Roc Nation], Katherine McPhee’s “Only One” [eOne], Ella Eyre’s “Two” [Virgin EMI], Leona Lewis’ “I to You” [Syco] and Kylie Minogue’s “Fine” [Parlophone].

Meanwhile, Taya is expected to release her first studio collection – featuring singles “Got Me Wondering,” “Fingerprints” and “Sweet Waste of Time” – later this year through Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts additional alliances with Digital Farm Animals, Eyelar, George Reid, Karen Poole, Howard Lawrence, Nicola Roberts, Al Shux, Ina Wroldsen, Starsmith, Tom Havelock, and James Newman.

Alex Newell has premiered the music video for his new single online.

The actor-singer posted the Derek Dunn-assisted visual clip for “Basically Over You” to his YouTube channel on Monday (March 28, 2016).

Production duties on “Basically Over You” were handled by MNEK, whose recent credits include Rudimental’s “We the Generation” [Asylum], Blonde’s “Feel Good (It’s Alright)” [Parlophone] and Karen Harding’s “Say Something” [Capitol].

The British hitmaker – real name Uzoechi Emenike – also contributed to the next projects by Zara Larsson [Epic], Jojo [Atlantic], Tamera Foster [Syco], Becky Hill [Parlophone] and KStewart [Warner Brothers].

Meanwhile, Newell’s debut mini-collection “Power” – featuring previous single “This Ain’t Over” – is now available for download via Big Beat Records.

Canadian electro-funk duo Chromeo added Digital Farm Animals and Andrew Jackson to the list of contributors for their new album.

Digital Farm Animals – real name Nick Gale – is responsible for producing / co-writing Dua Lipa’s “Be the One” [Warner Brothers], Alex Newell’s “Devilish” [Big Beat] and Rudimental’s “All That Love” [Asylum].

Meanwhile, Jackson’s songwriting resume includes works with Ben Haenow (“All Yours”), Pixie Lott (“Cry and Smile”) and Alex Newell (“This Ain’t Over”).

Chromeo, on the other hand, are expected to release the follow-up to 2014’s “White Women” later this year through Last Gang Records in partnership with Big Beat Records and Atlantic Records.
