Liza Owen teams with Olivia Waithe for new collaboration

Liza Owen has teamed up with Olivia Waithe for a new collaboration.

Formerly known as Livvi Franc, Waithe has previously penned songs for Rihanna (“What Now”), Britney Spears (“Trouble for Me”), Demi Lovato (“Two Pieces”), Selena Gomez (“Save the Day”), Leona Lewis (“Shake You Up”), Ciara (“Overdose”) and Kelly Clarkson (“The War is Over”).

Under her former management team Kerrie Thomas-Armstrong and Allison Hunte, Waithe signed a recording contract with now-defunct Jive Records and worked with top producers for her debut album “Underground Sunshine” including Future Cut (“Hummingbird”), Greg Kurstin (“She Loves Love”), RedOne (“Automatic”) and Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem (“My Window”).

Meanwhile, Owen’s current promotional single “Room Full of Boxes” – which was co-written by Sean Myer alongside London Jackson and Jacob Ames of X Lovers – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Besides regular collaborators Andrew Haas and Ian Franzino of AfterHrs, Owen has also been in the studio with Banx & Ranx, Chloe Angelides, Teddy Geiger, Emily Weisband, Jesse Saint John, Shungudzo, Big Taste, Steph Jones, Danny Parker, Tayla Parx, Steve Mac, and The Monsters & Strangerz.

Livvi Franc writes new music with Louis Schoorl

Bajan singer/songwriter Olivia Waithe, also known as Livvi Franc, has teamed up with Louis Schoorl for a new collaboration.

The Australian songwriter and record producer has previously worked with artists including Charlotte Lawrence (“Keep Me Up”), Jonas Blue (“I See Love”), Alma (“Chit Chat”), In Real Life (“Tattoo”), Benjamin Ingrosso (“Dance You Off”), Jocelyn Alice (“I Know”) and Why Don’t We (“Talk”).

Formerly signed to Jive Records, Franc has released songs produced by Salaam Remi (“Now I’m That Bitch”), RedOne (“Automatic”), Future Cut (“Hummingbird”), Jonatham “J.R.” Rotem (“Lovey Dovey”), Alan Nglish (“This is a Raid”) and Greg Kurstin (“She Loves Love”).

On the songwriting front, she has co-penned tracks for Rihanna (“What Now”), Britney Spears (“Trouble for Me”), Demi Lovato (“Two Pieces”), Selena Gomez (“Save the Day”), Leona Lewis (“Shake You Up”), Ciara (“Overdose”), Kelly Clarkson (“The War is Over”) and Zara Larsson (“What They Say”).

Jasmine Thompson has liberated her new single online.

“Old Friends” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Meghan Trainor alongside Ross Golan and Johan Carlsson, who are also responsible for Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman,” Charlie Puth’s “Then There Was You,” Little Mix’s “You Gotta Not,” Michael Buble’s “Today is Yesterday’s Tomorrow,” Colbie Caillat’s “Nice Guys,” Jason Derulo’s “Painkiller,” and One Direction’s “If I Could Fly.”

As mention in earlier posts, Thompson’s upcoming mini-album “Wonderland” – featuring “Someone’s Somebody,” “Wanna Know Love,” “Fix Me,” “Drama” and “Words” – will arrive on May 19 via Atlantic Records.

The follow-up to 2015’s delivers further contributions from RITUAL (Dua Lipa, Frances), Maegan Cottone (Olly Murs, Imani Williams), Justin Tranter (Imagine Dragons, Selena Gomez) and Livvi Franc (Christina Aguilera, Zara Larsson).

Jasmine Thompson has confirmed the details for her upcoming EP.

The British singer/songwriter christened her next mini-album “Wonderland” and will release it on May 19 via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

Tracks slotted for inclusion on the follow-up to 2015’s “Adore” are “Old Friends,” “Someone’s Somebody,” “Wanna Know Love,” “Fix Me,” “Drama” and “Words.”

The title song is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Among the musicians backing Thompson on “Wonderland” are RITUAL (Dua Lipa, Frances), Maegan Cottone (Little Mix, Fleur East), Livvi Franc (Zara Larsson, Britney Spears) and Justin Tranter (Jojo, Fifth Harmony).

Wilkinson unleashes sophomore album “Hypnotic”

British drum and bass music producer and DJ Mark Wilkinson, professionally known as Wilkinson, has released his sophomore album online.

“Hypnotic” is now available via available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2013’s “Lazers Not Included” boasts guest appearances from Karen Harding (“Sweet Lies”), Shannon Saunders (“Breathe”), Andreya Triana (“Take Us Home”), Matt Wills (“We Will Be”), Raphaella (“Only the Innocent”), Wretch 32 (“Flatline”) and Livvi Franc (“In the Dark”).

Among the songwriters backing Wilkinson on the album are Negin Djafari (Liza Owen), Jessica “SLO” Mills (Gorgon City), Dee Adam (Ria Ritchie), Jem Cooke (Rebecca Ferguson), Bradford Ellis (Fleur East), Ali Tennant (Craig David), Talay Riley (Keri Hilson) and Josh Record (Ella Henderson).

Zara Larsson unwraps tracklist for new album “So Good”

Zara Larsson has unwrapped the tracklist for her upcoming album, “So Good,” which will arrive on March 17 via TEN Music Group and Epic Records.

The title track – now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets – was co-written by Charlie Puth alongside Jacob “JKash” Kasher (Ariana Grande, Jake Miller), LunchMoney Lewis (Meghan Trainor, Ricky Reed) and DannyBoyStyles (Jason Derulo, Nicki Minaj).

Other album songwriters include Livvi Franc (Rihanna), JHart (Keith Urban), Eskeerdo (Fifth Harmony), Julia Michaels (Tinashe), Ed Sheeran (Taylor Swift), Ana Diaz (Britney Spears), Johnny McDaid (Harry Styles), Ina Wroldsen (Jess Glynne) and Ammar Malik (Selena Gomez).

Brooke Candy teams up with Sia for new single “Living Out Loud”

Brooke Candy has released her new single online.

“Living Out Loud” – featuring Australian singer/songwriter Sia – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Sia alongside Priscilla Renea Hamilton (Nick Jonas, Mariah Carey), Geoffrey Early (Bipolar Sunshine, Niykee Heaton) and Greg Kurstin (Kylie Minogue, Gwen Stefani).

Production duties on “Living Out Loud” were handled by Jesse Shatkin, whose other credits include Rihanna’s “Sledgehammer,” Charlie Puth’s “One Call Away,” Kelly Clarkson’s “Invincible,” an Foxes’ “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now.”

Candy’s upcoming debut album “Daddy Issues” – featuring previous singles “Rubber Band Stacks,” “Happy Days,” “Changes,” “Nasty” and “Paper or Plastic” – will arrive later this year via RCA Records.

The highly-anticipated LP reportedly delivers productions from Jack Antonoff (Taylor Swift), Nonfiction (Chris Brown), Magnus Lidehall (Katy Perry), Snob Scrilla (Jessica Mauboy) and Jayson DeZuzio (Skylar Grey).

On the songwriting front, Brooke Candy has worked with Jude Demorest (Fifth Harmony), Sarah Hudson (Dua Lipa), MNDR (Charli XCX), Talay Riley (Craig David), Livvi Franc (Zara Larsson) and Ali Tamposi (Lea Michele).
