Ray BLK drafts Cass Lowe for debut album

British singer/songwriter Rita Ekwere, professionally known as Ray BLK, has drafted Cass Lowe for her upcoming debut album.

The multi-platinum selling British songwriter and record producer’s credits include Snakehips’ “Don’t Leave,” Blonde’s “All Cried Out,” Sinead Harnett’s “Anywhere But Here,” Cheryl’s “Coming Up for Air,” Shola Ama’s “Boyfriend,” Fifth Harmony’s “Scared of Lonely,” AlunaGeorge’s “I Remember,” Felix Jaehn’s “Hot2Touch,” Niia Bertino’s “Girl Like Me,” Kwabs’ “Make You Mine,” Gabrielle Aplin’s “The House We Never Built,” and Hey Violet’s “Pure.”

Among the fellow producers Lowe has worked with are Electric, Mike Spencer, Dallas Austin, Jesse Shatkin, Lucas Secon, Gary Go, MNEK, Martin Terefe, Guy Sigsworth, Richard Stannard, Ash Howes, Jonas Quant, Robin Hanniball, Mark Ralph, Scott Hoffman, Adam Midgley, Tommy Baxter, Carl Falk, Rami Yacoub, Bradford Ellis, Julian Bunetta, Martin Solveig, and Stargate.

Meanwhile, BLK is expected to release her upcoming project, which serves as the follow-up to 2016’s “Durt,” later this year.

The Grammy award-winning record producer and songwriter is known for his works with Adele (“Rolling in the Deep”), Usher (“Chains”), Lianne La Havas (“Unstoppable”), FKA twigs (“Pendulum”), Coldplay (“Magic”), Lana Del Rey (“Black Beauty”), Bruno Mars (“Natalie”), Cee Lo Green (“It’s Okay”), Kate Nash (“Mouthwash”) and Florence + the Machine (“Mother”).

Epworth’s resume boasts additional collaborations with fellow producers and songwriters including Benny Blanco, Ammar Malik, Rick Nowels, Bibi Bourelly, Thomas “Kid Harpoon” Hull, Stacy Barthe, Michael “Clams Casino” Volpe, Joel Little, Ari Levine, Philip Lawrence, and Element (Hitesh Ceon & Kim Ofstad).

Meanwhile, BLK – who won BBC’s Sound of 2017 – is expected to release her upcoming project later this year.

British singer/songwriter Sam Smith has drafted the production services of Timbaland for his upcoming sophomore album.

The American record producer, singer, songwriter, rapper and DJ – born Timothy Mosley – is known for his works with Missy Elliot (“Work It”), Aaliyah (“Try Again”), Justin Timberlake (“Cry Me a River”), Nelly Furtado (“Maneater”), Rihanna (“Rehab”) and Beyonce (“Drunk in Love”).

Timbaland’s extensive resume boasts further works with Ginuwine (“Pony”), Adina Howard (“Sexual Needs”), Nicole Wray (“Make it Hot”), Keri Hilson (“Return the Favor”), Demi Lovato (“All Night Long”), Jennifer Hudson (“Pocketbook”), Kelis (“Running Mate”), Brandy (“Drum Life”), Solange (“Get Together”) and Destiny’s Child (“Get on the Bus”).

Meanwhile, Smith is expected to release his sophomore studio collection in late September via Method Records and Capitol Records.

Sam Smith has reunited with Two Inch Punch for his second album.

The British musician – born Benjamin Ash – previously co-wrote and produced “Life Support,” “Safe With Me” and “Money on My Mind” (initially entitled “Do it for the Love”), which debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart.

Other notable credits by Two Inch Punch include Ella Eyre’s “Deeper,” Lulu James’ “Sweetest Thing,” Moko’s “With You,” Anne-Marie’s “Boy,” Frances’ “Let it Out,” Louis Mattrs’ “Bow Down,” Zac Samuel’s “Never Letting Go,” Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Human,” SG Lewis’ “All Night,” JONES’ “Bring Me Down,” Becky Hill’s “Caution to the Wind,” Javeon’s “Precious,” and Years & Years’ “Desire.”

Usher confirms details for new album “Hard II Love”

Usher has confirmed the details for his upcoming album.

The singer, songwriter, and actor christened his eighth studio collection “Hard II Love” and will release it on September 16 via RCA Records.

Amongst the tracks slotted for inclusion on the follow-up to 2012’s “Looking for Myself” are “Crash,” “No Limit,” “Missin U” and “Champions.”

Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge, Rock City, WondaGurl, and Carlos St. John are amongst the confirmed collaborators on “Hard II Love.”

The keenly-awaited project reportedly delivers additional alliances with Paul Epworth, Johnta Austin, Dapo Tormiro, Bryan Michael Cox, Priscilla Renea, Jermaine Dupri, Labrinth, Polow Da Don, and Knox Brown.

Florence and the Machine premiere “Third Eye” music video

Florence and the Machine have premiered a new music video online.

The Vincent Haycock-directed / Ryan Heffington-choreographed clip for “Third Eye” was posted to the British indie rock band’s Vevo channel on Monday (April 25, 2016).

“Third Eye” was written by lead vocalist Florence Welch and produced by regular collaborator Markus Dravs (Bjork, Coldplay, Mumford & Sons).

Florence and the Machine’s latest studio collection “How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful” – featuring previous singles “What Kind of Man,” “Ship to Wreck,” “Queen of Peace” and “Delilah” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Island Records (UK) and Republic Records (US).

Other album contributors include James Ford (HAIM), Isabella Summers (Wynter Gordon), Paul Epworth (Adele), Ester Dean (Rihanna), Kid Harpoon (James Bay), Dan Wilson (Shawn Mendes) and John Hill (Santigold).

Lianne La Havas debuts new single “Fairytale”

Lianne La Havas has debuted her new single online.

The British singer-songwriter-guitarist posted the audio clip for “Fairytale” to her YouTube channel on Friday (February 12, 2016).

“Fairytale” appears on La Havas’s “Blood Solo” EP, which is now available for download via iTunes and all other online outlets.

The original issue of “Blood” – featuring singles “Unstoppable,” “What You Don’t Do” and “Green & Gold” – was released in July 31, 2015 through Nonesuch Records (US) and Warner Brothers Records (UK).

Commercial performance-wise, the follow-up to 2012’s “Is Your Love Big Enough?” peaked to number two on the UK Albums Chart and number fifty-two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

That collection also delivered collaborations with Paul Epworth (Adele), Matthew Hales (Sara Bareilles), Al Shux (Elle Varner), Shea Taylor (Beyonce), Di Genius (Nelly Furtado), Jimmy Napes (Disclosure), and Sam Dew (Rihanna).
