Sigrid releases new promotional single “Strangers”

Norwegian singer/songwriter Sigrid Solbakk Raabe, known mononymously as simply Sigrid, has released her new promotional single online.

“Strangers” – which was co-written and produced by regular collaborator Martin Sjolie – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Sigrid’s upcoming debut studio collection – featuring previous promotional singles “Don’t Kill My Vibe” and “Plot Twist” – is expected to arrive early next year via Universal Music Group / Island Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts additional productions from Future Cut (Rita Ora), Justin Parker (Ellie Goulding), Laconic (Mic Lowry), Jonny Coffer (Beyonce), The Electric (Mabel McVey), Fred Ball (Rihanna), BloodPop (Justin Bieber), Patrik Berger (Charli XCX) and TMS (Niall Horan).

On the songwriting front, Sigrid has worked with Caroline Ailin (Dua Lipa), Noonie Bao (Raye), Tom Havelock (Kwabs), Emily Warren (Becky Hill), Sasha Sloan (Camila Cabello) and Arrow Benjamin (Alicia Keys).

Maroon 5 release new studio collection “Red Pill Blues”

American pop rock band Maroon 5 – composed of members Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden, James Valentine, Matt Flynn, PJ Morton, and Sam Farrar – have released their sixth studio collection online.

“Red Pill Blues” – featuring singles “Don’t Wanna Know,” “Cold,” “What Lovers Do” and “Help Me Out” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2014’s “V” was executive-produced by Jacob “JKash” Kasher, whose recent songwriting credits include Charlie Puth’s “How Long,” Bebe Rexha’s “I Got You,” Jason Derulo’s “Swalla,” Zara Larsson’s “So Good,” Kristian Galva’s “Wrong 4 This,” and PRETTYMUCH’s “Would You Mind.”

Other producers backing Maroon 5 on “Red Pill Blues” are Julian Bunetta (Niall Horan), Cirkut (Ava Max), Noah Passovoy (Katy Perry), Diplo (Madonna), John Ryan (Colbie Caillat), TMS (Emeli Sande), Ben Billions (Alina Baraz), Jason Evigan (Kehlani), Ricky Reed (Alessia Cara) and Benny Blanco (Halsey).

On the songwriting front, Maroon 5 have worked with Alexander “Eskeerdo” Izquierdo (Alex Aiono), Dayo Olatunji (Fifth Harmony), Ammar Malik (Ed Sheeran), Brittany “Starrah” Hazzard (Camila Cabello), Justin Tranter (Nick Jonas), Julia Michaels (Tinashe) and Teddy Geiger (Shawn Mendes).

Rihanna connects with N.E.R.D. for new promotional single “Lemon”

Rihanna has teamed up with American funk rock band N.E.R.D. for their return single “Lemonade,” which is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Written and produced by group member Pharrell Williams; “Lemon” marks the first promotional cut from N.E.R.D.’s upcoming studio collection under Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

Meanwhile, Rihanna is currently working on her upcoming ninth album, which will be distributed via Westbury Road Entertainment in partnership with Roc Nation Records (US) and Virgin EMI Records (UK).

Among the songwriters and producers who contributed to the follow-up to 2016’s “Anti” are TMS (Nick Jonas), Camille “Kamille” Purcell (Bebe Rexha), Diztortion (Craig David) and Rachel “Raye” Keen (Justin Skye).

Paloma Faith releases new promotional single “Guilty”

Paloma Faith has released her new promotional single online.

“Guilty” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by fellow recording artist Ella Henderson alongside Wayne Hector, whose recent credits include Emeli Sande’s “Highs & Lows,” Little Mix’s “Nothing Else Matters,” Taya’s “When You’re Sober,” Kaiser Chef’s “Sunday Morning,” and Jones’ “Til We Get There.”

Production duties on “Guilty” were handled by regular collaborators TMS (aka Peter “Merf” Kelleher, Benjamin Kohn, and Thomas “Froe” Barnes), who have also contributed to the next projects by Maroon 5, Anne-Marie, Era Istrefi, Noah Cyrus, Louis Tomlinson, Alma, Sabina Ddumba, Calum Scott, Mabel, Jess Glynne, Ellie Goulding, Nick Jonas, and Rihanna.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Faith’s upcoming fourth album “The Architect” – featuring previous promotional single “Crybaby” – will on November 17 via Sony Music Entertainment UK / RCA Records Label.

The follow-up to 2014’s “A Perfect Contradiction” boasts further contributions from Starsmith, Lindy Robbins, Cleo Tighe, Jesse Shatkin, Knox Brown, Sia Furler, John Newman, Zak Abel, Carla Marie Williams, Klas Ahlund, Jin Jin, Francis “Eg” White, Samuel Dixon, and Cass Lowe.

British singer/songwriter Mabel has drafted Lostboy for a new collaboration.

The record producer and songwriter has helmed songs for MAAD (“Wonderland”), Gabrielle Aplin (“Waking Up Slow”), Skinny Living (“Why”), Caitlyn Scarlett (“Hell for a Honeymoon”), Sarah Close (“Call Me Out”), Lauren Faith (“Let Them Talk”) and Marlon Roudette (“Ultra Love”).

Lostboy (born Peter Rycroft) has also contributed to the next projects by Years & Years, Taya, Amber-Simone, Elley Duhe, KStewart, Molly Rainford, Becky Hill, Dakota, Ella Henderson, Fleur East, Kara Marni, L Devine, Antigoni Buxton, Nina Nesbitt, Hannah Jane Lewis, Ella Eyre, Arlissa, and Tom Walker.

Meanwhile, Mabel is expected to release her debut studio collection early next year via Universal Music Group / Polydor Records.

British singer/songwriter Anne-Marie has teamed up with Emily Warren and Chris Loco for a new collaboration.

Recent songwriting credits by Warren include Little Mix’s “No More Sad Songs,” Charli XCX’s “Boys,” Dua Lipa’s “New Rules,” Molly Kate Kestner’s “Good Die Young,” Sean Paul’s “No Lie,” Alessia Cara’s “The Other Side,” Noah Cyrus’ “Stay Together,” and Naughty Boy’s “Should’ve Been Me.”

She has also contributed to the next projects by Sigrid, Liam Payne, Dua Lipa, Sigala, Ella Eyre, Tori Kelly, David Guetta, Shakira, Grace Mitchell, Dagny, Liza Owen, Phoebe Ryan, and Ella Henderson.

Paloma Faith selects “Guilty” as new promotional single

Paloma Faith has announced the details of her new single.

The British singer/songwriter christened “Guilty” as the second promotional cut from her upcoming fourth album, “The Architect,” which will arrive on November 17 via Sony Music Entertainment UK / RCA Records Label.

The track was co-written by fellow recording artist Ella Henderson alongside Thomas “Froe” Barnes, Benjamin Kohn and Peter “Merf” Kelleher of TMS, who also teamed up with Faith on Sigma’s hit single “Changing.”

In addition to co-writing and producing “Till I’m Done” and “I’ll Be Gentle” on “The Architect,” TMS have also worked on the next projects by Maroon 5, Anne-Marie, Era Istrefi, Noah Cyrus, Louis Tomlinson, Alma, Sabina Ddumba, Calum Scott, Mabel, Jess Glynne, Ellie Goulding, Nick Jonas, and Rihanna.

The London-based trio’s recent songwriting and production credits include Niall Horan’s “On My Own,” Justine Skye’s “Don’t Think About It,” Naughty Boy’s “One Chance to Dance,” Dua Lipa’s “Bad Together,” Zac Samuel’s “Play it Cool,” Louisa Johnson’s “Best Behabviour,” and Craig David’s “Change My Love.”
