Alicia Keys enlists Tricky Stewart for new collaboration

American singer, songwriter, and record producer Alicia Keys has enlisted Christopher “Tricky” Stewart for a new collaboration.

Stewart’s songwriting and production resume boasts works with Beyonce (“Single Ladies”), Mariah Carey (“Touch My Body”), Rihanna (“Umbrella”), Mary J. Blige (“Just Fine”), Ciara (“Ride”), Brooke Valentine (“Girl Fight”), Brandy (“Louboutins”), Toni Braxton (“Missin'”) and Whitney Houston (“I Look to You”).

Besides regular collaborator Terius “The-=Dream” Nash, Stewart has also worked with songwriters including Traci Hale, Penelope Magnet, Kandi Burruss, Ester Dean, Crystal Nicole, Shelly Peiken, Katrina Willis, Michelle Bell, Candice Nelson, Keri Hilson, Shamora Crawford, and Lindsey “Mavelle” Gilbert.

Meanwhile, Keys is expected to release her eighth studio collection in 2019 via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The follow-up to 2016’s “Here” reportedly delivers further productions and songwriting contributions from DaHeala, Foy Vance, Arrow Benjamin, Fred Ball, Emile Haynie, Stacy Barthe, Johnny McDaid, Andrew Wyatt, Jeff Bhasker, Linda Perry, Asia Whiteacre, Pierre Medor, and Jeremiah “SickPen” Bethea.

Toni Braxton premieres music video for “Long As I Live”

Toni Braxton has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The visual clip for “Long As I Live” was posted to the American singer/songwriter’s Vevo channel on Friday (March 23, 2018).

The track was co-written and produced by Antonio Dixton, who previously teamed up with Braxton on the Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds-assisted “I Hate You,” “Roller Coaster,” “Sweat,” “Hurt You,” “Take it Back,” and “Reunited,” taken from the albums “Libra” [2005] and “Love, Marriage & Divorce” [2014].

Braxton’s eighth album “Sex & Cigarettes” – featuring previous promotional singles “Deadwood” and “Coping” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2010’s “Pulse” delivers additional alliances with Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Dapo Torimiro, Fred Ball, James Newman, Stuart Crichton, Patrick “J. Que” Smith, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Pierre Medor, and Khristopher Riddick-Tynes of The Rascals.

Toni Braxton releases new album “Sex & Cigarettes”

American singer, songwriter, pianist, actress, and television personality Toni Braxton has released her eighth studio collection online.

“Sex & Cigarettes” – featuring promotional singles “Deadwood,” “Coping” and “Long As I Live” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The highly-anticipated project reunites Braxton with regular collaborators Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Daryl Simmons, who are responsible for “Another Love Song,” “Breathe Again,” “Seven Whole Days,” “Love Shoulda Brought You Home,” and “You Mean the World to Me.”

SoMo releases new single “Want It”

American singer/songwriter SoMo (real name Joseph Anthony Somers-Morales) has released his new single online.

“Want It” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by fellow recording artist Avena Savage and regular collaborator Cody Tarpley, who previously teamed up with SoMo on “Blind,” “Back to the Start,” “Ride” and “Red Lighter.”

SoMo’s upcoming studio collection “The Answers” – featuring singles “Control,” “First,” “Just a Man,” “Champion” and the Maty Noyes-assisted “Play” – will arrive on March 17 via Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

Brandy unveils official songwriting credits for new album ‘Two Eleven’

Brandy has unveiled the official songwriting credits for her upcoming sixth album, “Two Eleven,” which is due in the United States on October 16 via Sony Music Entertainment / Chameleon / RCA Records.

New single “Wildest Dreams” was helmed by Justin Henderson and Christopher Whitacre of R&B production duo Tha Bizness, who are also responsible for “Strip” by Chris Brown [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records] and “Follow My Lead” by 50 Cent [Universal Music Group / Interscope Records].
