Ciara snags Planet6, Madd Scientist for new album ‘One Woman Army’

Singer/songwriter Ciara has added Planet6 and Madd Scientist to the list of collaborators for her upcoming fifth album, “One Woman Army,” which is due later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

Songwriting credits by Planet6 – consisting of members Theron and Timothy Thomas – include “Pour it Up” by Rihanna [Universal Music Group / Island Def Jam Recordings] and “Kisses Down Low” by Kelly Rowland [Universal Music Group / Republic Records].

Madd Scientist – real name Terry Thomas – is responsible producing tracks “The Wave” by Toni Braxton [Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records] and “Us Against the World” by Christina Milian [Universal Music Group / MySpace Records].

Meanwhile, Planet6 and Madd Scientist have collectively collaborated on “Misses Glass” by Leona Lewis [Sony Music Entertainment / J Records], “Girlfriend” by Prima J [Universal Music Group / Geffen Records] and “Freaky” by Jesse McCartney [Disney Music Group / Hollywood Records].

Kelly Rowland confirms new album title ‘Talk a Good Game’

Kelly Rowland has renamed her upcoming fourth album.

Originally christened as “Year of the Woman,” the follow-up to 2011’s “Here I Am” is now entitled “Talk a Good Game.” The new project will be released later this year via Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

New single “Kisses Down Low” was co-written by Planet 6: Theron & Timothy Thomas (Miley Cyrus, Keri Hilson) and produced by Michael “Mike WiLL Made It” Phillips (Brandy Norwood, Lana Del Rey).

Other producers backing Rowland on “Talk a Good Game” are Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis (Janet Jackson, Usher Raymond), Noel “Detail” Fisher (Christina Aguilera, Lil Wayne), Tyler “T-Minus” Williams (Ciara, Melanie Fiona) and Kenneth “Soundz” Coby (Justin Bieber, LeToya Luckett).

Songwriters include Sean “The Pen” Garrett (Britney Spears, Nicole Scherzinger), Joseph “Lonny” Bereal (Jamie Foxx, Chris Brown), Amber “Sevyn” Streeter (Estelle Swaray, Trey Songz), Sean “Elijah Blake” Fenton (Rihanna, Marsha Ambrosius) and Durrell “Tank” Babbs (Fantasia, Toni Braxton).

Pop starlet Miley Cyrus has added Planet6 – formerly known as Rock City – to the list of songwriters for her upcoming fourth album, scheduled for release later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

Recent credits by the songwriting duo – consisting of siblings Theron and Timothy Thomas – include “Kisses Down Low” by Kelly Rowland [Universal Music Group / Republic Records] and “Pour it Up” by Rihanna [Universal Music Group / Island Def Jam Recordings].

They also confirmed placements on the next albums by Beyonce Knowles [Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records], Keri Hilson [Universal Music Group / Interscope Records], Melanie Amaro [Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records] and RaVaughn Brown [Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records].

Meanwhile, the new collection by Miley Cyrus – which serves as the follow-up to “Can’t Be Tamed” – is expected to boast further songwriting contributions from Bonnie McKee (Christina Aguilera, Katharine McPhee), Stacy Barthe (Katy Perry, Britney Spears) and Jean Baptiste Kouame (Tulisa Contostavlos, Chris Brown).

Kelly Rowland has unveiled the official lyric video for her new single.

“Kisses Down Low” marks the second promotional single from the singer/songwriter’s upcoming fourth album, “Year of the Woman,” scheduled for release later this year via Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

The track was co-written by Theron and Timothy Thomas of Planet6 formerly known as Rock City, who are also responsible for “Misses Glass” by Leona Lewis [Sony Music Entertainment / J Records], “Rollercoaster” by Janet Jackson [Universal Music Group / Island Def Jam Recordings] and “If This Isn’t Love” by Jennifer Hudson [Sony Music Entertainment / J Records].

Production credits were handled by Michael Williams aka Mike WiLL Made It, whose credits include “Do You Know What You Have?” by Brandy [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records] and “Pour it Up” by Rihanna [Universal Music Group / Island Def Jam Recordings] and “Wake Up, No Makeup” by Ciara [Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records].
