Petite Meller releases debut album “Lil Empire”

French singer-songwriter Petite Meller has released her debut album online.

“Lil Empire” – featuring singles “Barbaric,” “Milk Love,” “Baby Love” and “The Flute” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Island Records.

The project was prominently helmed by Joakim Ahlund, who also worked with the likes of Giorgio Moroder (“Diamonds”), Cheryl (“I Don’t Care”), Kelly Clarkson (“I Want You”), and Robyn (“Stars 4-Ever”).

Other songwriters and producers backing Meller on “Lil Empire” are Justin Parker (Lana Del Rey), Fred Ball (Rihanna), Starsmith (Jess Glynne), Pnau (Elton John), and XL Recordings artist Shamir Bailey.

Lea Michele enlists Anne Preven for debut album

LeaAmerican actress Lea Michele has enlisted the songwriting and vocal production services of Anne Preven for her upcoming as-yet-untitled debut album.

Some of Preven’s recent credits include “Cuckoo” by Adam Lambert [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records], “What Do You Take Me For?” by Pixie Lott [Universal Music Group / Mercury Records] and “Remember December” by Demi Lovato [Disney Music Group / Hollywood Records].

Shall also collaborated with top musicians including Scott Cutler, Dallas Austin,  Phil Thornalley, Ryan “Alias” Tedder, Dapo Tormiro, John Fields, Paul Oakenfold, Christopher “Rusko” Mercer, Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes.

Meanwhile, the new collection by Lea Michele is confirmed to boast further alliances with Sia Furler (Rita Ora, Neon Hitch), Oliver “Oligee” Goldstein (Carly Rae Jepsen, Kelly Clarkson), Bonnie McKee (Nicole Scherzinger, Leona Lewis) and Josh Abraham (Fefe Dobson, Travie McCoy).

Mika premieres music video for new single ‘Underwater’

Mika has premiered the music video for his new single online.

“Underwater” marks the fourth promotional single from the British singer/songwriter’s third album, “The Origin of Love,” which is out now via Universal Music Group / Casablanca Records / Barclay Records.

The track was written by Mika along with Pnau’s Nick Littlemore and Paul Steele. Meanwhile, production credits were handled by Mika and Greg Wells.

“The Origin of Love” serves as the follow-up to 2009’s “The Boy Who Knew Too Much.” That release debuted at number four on the UK Albums Chart. It also boasted four hit singles in the shape of “We Are Golden,” “Blame it on the Girls,” “Rain” and “Kick Ass (We Are Young).”

Mika has announced the details of his new single.

“Origin of Love” marks the second single from the British singer/songwriter’s third album, “The Origin of Love,” which is available now via Universal Music Group / Polydor Records / Barclay Records / Casablanca Records.

The follow-up to “Celebrate” was written by Michael Holbrook Penniman Jr. along with Pnau’s Nick Littlemore and Paul Steel. Production credits were handled by Mika, Nick Littlemore and frequent collaborator Greg Wells.
