Monica reunites with Polow Da Don for new single “Just Right for Me”

Monica has announced the title for her new single.

The R&B songstress christened “Just Right for Me” – featuring Lil Wayne – as the first promotional cut from her upcoming studio album “Code Red.”

Production duties on “Just Right for Me” were handled by regular collaborator Polow Da Don, who also teamed with Monica on the Mansur Zafr-assisted “Without You” and Ester Dean-penned “Here I Am.”

Other recent credits by Polow Da Don – real name Jamal Jones – include Tamia’s “Stuck with Me” [Def Jam Recordings], Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” [Republic Records] and Mario’s “Someone Else” [RCA Records].

Meanwhile, “Code Red” is scheduled to hit stores and digital outlets later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The highly-anticipated project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “New Life,” which peaked to number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and delivered singles including “Anything (To Find You)” and “Until It’s Gone.”

Other musicians backing Monica on “Code Red” are Timbaland (Beyonce, Justin Timberlake), Jermaine Dupri (Usher, Mariah Carey), Danja (Luke James, Katharine McPhee) and Bryan Michael Cox (Ciara, Kelly Rowland).

Tamia confirms tracklisting for new album “Love Life”

Tamia has confirmed the official tracklisting for her upcoming sixth album.

The Canadian singer/songwriter is scheduled to release “Love Life” on June 9 under Universal Music Group / Def Jam Records.

Current single “Stuck with Me” was produced by Polow Da Don, whose other credits include Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” [Republic], Fergie’s “London Bridge” [Interscope] and Jamie Foxx’s “DJ Play a Love Song” [RCA].

“Love Life” serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Beautiful Surprise,” which peaked to number six on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart.

As mentioned in earlier posts, “Love Life” will feature further productions from Da Internz (Tinashe, John Legend), Bryan Michael Cox (Ciara, Toni Braxton), Chuck Harmony (Ne-Yo, Janet Jackson) and Tricky Stewart (Usher, Britney Spears).

On the songwriting front, Tamia has collaborated with Alicia Renee (Rihanna, Ariana Grande), Johnta Austin (Aaliyah, Keri Hilson), Claude Kelly (Brandy, Leona Lewis) and The-Dream (Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez).

Tamia has shared her new single online.

The Canadian singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Stuck With Me” to her Vevo channel on Wednesday (May 06, 2015).

Production duties on “Stuck With Me” were handled by Polow Da Don, who is also responsible for Fergie’s “London Bridge” [Interscope], Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” [Republic] and Ciara’s “Promise” [RCA].

The track marks the second promotional cut from Tamia’s sixth album, “Love Life,” out on June 9 under Universal Music Group / Def Jam Recordings.

Previous single “Sandwich and a Soda” – which was co-written by Alicia Renee Williams along with Warren “Oak” Felder, Andrew “Pop” Wansel and Steve “Aceface” Mostyn – is now available for download via iTunes.

“Love Life” promises further productions and songwriting contributions from Chuck Harmony, Claude Kelly, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, The-Dream, Johnta Austin, Bryan Michael Cox, and Da Internz.

Sevyn Streeter has unveiled the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter – real name Amber Streeter – posted the visual clip for “4th Street” to her official YouTube channel on Tuesday (April 29, 2015).

“4th Street” appears on the artist’s debut album, “On the Verge,” out soon under Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The keenly-awaited project will feature previous promotional cut “Don’t Kill the Fun,” as well as guest appearances from Chris Brown [RCA Records], August Alsina [Def Jam Recordings] and B.o.B [Atlantic Records].

On the production front, “Verge” boasts contributions from Hit-Boy (Brandy, Selena Gomez), Polow Da Don (Rihanna, Kelly Rowland), Mansur Zafr (Ashanti, Keri Hilson) and Da Internz (Tamia, Christina Aguilera).

Ciara has confirmed the title for her new single.

The singer/songwriter dubbed “Dance Like We’re Making Love” as the second promotional cut from her upcoming sixth album, “Jackie,” out on May 4th via Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

“Dance Like We’re Making Love” was co-written by Ciara along with Theron Thomas of Rock City, whose other credits include Rihanna’s “Pour it Up” [Def Jam Recordings] and Ariana Grande’s “Be My Baby” [Republic Records].

Production duties were handled by Dr. Luke, who is also responsible for Nicki Minaj’s “Pills ‘N Potions” [Republic Records], Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” [Capitol Records] and Ne-Yo’s “She Knows” [Motown Records].

Other musicians backing Ciara on the new album are Cirkut (Sia, Britney Spears), Harmony Samuels (Brandy, Jennifer Lopez), Polow Da Don (Kelis, Nicole Scherzinger) and The Underdogs (Usher, Tamar Braxton).

Ester Dean announces details for debut EP “Miss Dean”

Ester Dean has announced the details for her upcoming EP.

The singer/songwriter christened her debut mini-collection “Miss Dean” and will release it on April 15 via iTunes (US).

Among the producers backing Dean on the keenly-awaited EP are DJ Mustard (Chris Brown, Keyshia Cole), Polow Da Don (Kelly Rowland, Christina Aguilera) and Kane Beatz (Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz).

On the songwriting front, Dean recently co-penned “Dancing in the Dark” for Rihanna along with Maureen “Mozella” McDonald and the song’s producers Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Storleer Eriksen of Stargate.

The track appears on the original motion picture soundtrack “Home,” which is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Roc Nation.
