K. Michelle shoots music video for new single “God I Get It”

K. Michelle has filmed a music video for new single “God I Get It.”

The track is lifted from the singer/songwriter’s sophomore album, “Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart,” now available for download via Atlantic Records.

“God I Get It” was written by K. Michelle along with Bianca “Blush” Atterberry. Production duties were handled by Ronnie “Lil Ronnie” Jackson, B.A.M., Phillip Cornish, Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis and Arden “Keyz” Altino.

Other singles included on “Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart” are “Love ‘Em All,” “Maybe I Should Call,” “Something About the Night” and “Hard to Do.”

The follow-up to 2013’s “Rebellious Soul” boasts further productions from Jesse “Corporal” Wilson (Ne-Yo, Celine Dion), Shea Taylor (Rihanna, Janet Jackson), Eric Hudson (Omarion, Chris Brown) and Soundz (Usher, Jasmine V).

In related news, K. Michelle has penned a song for label mate Jojo’s upcoming third album. She also provided guest vocals for Jason Derulo’s fourth studio collection “Everything is 4” [Beluga Heights / Warner Bros. Records].

Chris Loco debuts new Emeli Sande collaboration

Chris Loco has debuted a new collaboration with Emeli Sande online.

The British record producer and songwriter posted the audio clip for “Moon (Freestyle)” to his official SoundCloud page on Monday (February 16, 2015).

Loco previously teamed with Sande on the track “Easier in Bed,” taken from the artist’s debut album “Our Version of Events.”

The duo also collaborated on songs for other artists including Leona Lewis (“Trouble”), Wiley (“My Heart”) and The Veronicas (“Always”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Sande will release her second studio collection later this year via Virgin EMI Records (UK) and Capitol Records (US).

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts collaborations with Shahid “Naughty Boy” Khan, Jonathan “Jonny” Coffer, Mojam (Mustafa Omer & James Murray), Jim Eliot, Reginald “Syience” Perry, and Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis.

On the songwriting front, Sande has confirmed placements on the next albums by Rihanna [SRP Records] and Alicia Keys [RCA Records].

Meanwhile, Loco has contributed to the upcoming projects by Laura Welsh, Say Lou Lou, Ella Eyre, Kwabs, Raleigh Ritchie, Bipolar Sunshine, Melissa Steele, Sinead Harnett, Raye, Maverick Sabre, Becky Hill, and Etta Bond.

Melissa Steel has worked with Harmony Samuels for her upcoming debut album.

“UK stand up for @MelissaSteel !! Session with my sis all week has been awesome. Watch out for this young rising star” the British record producer and songwriter posted on his Instagram account on Wednesday (January 07, 2014).

Samuels is known co-writing and producing songs for Jennifer Hudson (“Think Like a Man”), Sevyn Streeter (“I Like It”), Kelly Rowland (“Put Your Name on It”), Brandy (“Without You”) and Tamar Braxton (“Let Me Know”).

He also contributed to the next releases by Jojo [Atlantic Records], Ciara [Epic Records], Gabi Wilson [RCA Records], Pia Mia [Interscope Records], LeToya Luckett [Entertainment One Music Group] and Avery Wilson [RCA Records].

Meanwhile, Steel is confirmed to release her first studio collection later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled project features alliances with Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis, Autumn Rowe, Chris Loco, Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett, Sam Romans, Uzoechi “MNEK” Emenike, Tre Jean-Marie and Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor.

Current single “I Loved You” – a collaborative joint with deep house production duo Blonde (consisting of Jacob Manson and Adam Englefield) – peaked to number seven on the UK Singles Chart.
